redeuxx
Hello all! For some reason accessing shares from Windows becomes unresponsive. Sometimes waiting helps, then other times it seems I need to force close Windows Explorer. Are there any settings that I can change to fix this unresponsiveness? The drives are all spun up and they are all in good health. Much thanks! Quote Link to comment

I'm going to test this out on Windows 7 when I get the chance but yes, it is currently happening on Windows 10. It wasn't always like this. This has just started happening a few days ago. SSD
I had similar symptoms with RFS on my array. Since using XFS, have not seen this behavior. Quote Link to comment

tjb_altf4
Win10 has a really annoying issue like the one you described... effecting in my case both network(unraid) and a secondary SSD. I only recently fixed it and it was simple to do with immediate results. Quote 1. Open Windows Explorer/File Explorer. 2. Click the 'view' tab. 3. Click 'Options' button at the far right hand side of the view ribbon. 4. On the 'General' Tab, un-tick the two privacy options, and click 'Clear'. 5. Apply/OK to exit. I also Cleared File Explorer history for good measure while I was there. Hope that fixes your issue Edited May 28, 2017 by tjb_altf4 Quote Link to comment

I have also tried clearing the two privacy options in Windows Explorer options, but they were already unselected. But I don't use Windows Explorer anyway. This is pretty frustrating since it makes my pool unusable at time without a force close. Quote Link to comment
