ThePhotraveller Posted December 3, 2017 Share Posted December 3, 2017 It's been three days of struggle with Unraid and windows for me. Unraid is installed in my old i3 machine with one hard disc. And in my current work horse am able to access unraid with the IP of that i3 machine. I have set the user shares and Network settings as said in every youtube video and forum I have gone through. I have went through Regedit to add a Dword, With all that I don't see any progress yet. Am not able to find the Unraid user shares in my computer. I am attaching few images for the better understanding on your side. Am not much of a tech person here I can understand what is said and follow it. How can this be the wrong board? 6.3.5 isn't pre-release anymore, and this isn't related to any specific plugin. More and more users will come running with this kind of problems where the unRAID and the unRAID shares aren't found since M$ is rolling out Windows 10 updates that has turned off support for SMBv1, so you basically need DNS support to locate other hosts on the local network. Or require that the local hosts file is updated with the IP/name of the missing unRAID machine. Quote Link to comment

I have created a username and password inside the tower with the one same as My microsoft account. Then i tried to login to windows through that and it didn't work either. Microsoft has replaced SMB with "Function Discovery" (in a manner of speaking) and there is a daemon / script that enables that for Linux.
