Can0n
Why are License upgrades more expensive than the package differences? for example Basic is $59, Plus is is $89 thats a $30 difference to upgrade from Basic to Plus is $39 how come? Quote Link to comment
bonienl
You see that wrong. You get discount when buying the higher tier license immediately. Quote Link to comment

NNate
No, you're seeing it right, but this is not surprising. It's quite common that an after-the-fact upgrade is more expensive that the initial purchase price differential. Essentially you're getting a discount by committing to the upgraded version immediately. Quote Link to comment
Can0n
hmm its on $9 US greenback around $14 Candian rainbows I will consider it as i add more drives to my smaller server Quote Link to comment
JonathanM
Really? You are complaining about the difference between 5US$ per drive if you do it immediately vs. $US6.50 a drive if you do it later? How much are the drives themselves going to cost? Honestly I think the prices are extremely low for what you get anyway. Quote Link to comment
Can0n
I wasn't complaining just asking why the difference. the server uses 2.5" drives so its $60 a drive i have 5 now with room for 3 more so when I need to I will upgrade I was just looking for a reason for the $9 discrepancy Edited August 1, 2018 by Can0nfan Quote Link to comment

So it's more expensive for a company that make 100 transactions at $1 each than having a single transaction of $100. But in this case, it's the standard business deal of: "Buy three books and pay for two." So you can often buy a book trilogy cheaper than buying the books one at a time. Quote Link to comment
