Yes, Linux will cache as much in RAM as it can and release it when need be. I have 6GB in my unRAID machine and have about 175MB free right now. I only have 1 torrent running.
January 24, 201214 yr Author The 4.7 package is almost ready, I am doing some last testing to make sure everything looks good. I might see about updating the version of Transmission I am using in 4.7 but that may delay the release of the package. I will try to keep you all updated on the progress.
January 24, 201214 yr Author So... some bad news... I dropped back to 2.01 to see if I could get everything to install on 4.7 correctly. The install goes correctly, like it did previously with the other package, but I am still running into the issue with xargs. To get this working on 4.7 I am most likely going to have to drop back to the Transmission 1.7(ish) range. What I need from you all using 4.7 is if you are willing to fall back to that version?
January 24, 201214 yr Author will get in trouble with some trackers i think if going back that far Which I undertstand... but I don't really have a choice at this point. I did some searching and I can find a 1.73 package for slackware 12.2 which should work fine. Anything in the 2.0X range seems to be out of the question because of the newer libraries that are required.
January 25, 201214 yr i have found a package of flexget for openelec http://cl.ly/040r3I0v3Y2w3a3K2L2G maybe it helps for unraid also?

January 25, 201214 yr Author Release it and we test it? :-) Sent from my Optimus 2X using Tapatalk No, that just leads to me making a lot of little changes as quickly as possible to release a new version and I don't want to do that.

January 25, 201214 yr Author The only other choice might be to build a chroot.. that could prove to be a allot of work. Right, and quite frankly I am not willing to do that. It might sound selfish of me and I apologize for that, but I don't have an unlimited amount of time to get it all working together. Since I have not heard an overwhelming outcry from those using 4.7 I am probably just going to drop 4.7 support (put a check in the package) and see about getting the package that works on 5.0 updated to a newer version of Transmission (A Flexget package will probably arrive the same time).
January 28, 201214 yr ok im going sound newbish but what version of unraid should I be running to use this. I see 4.7 is out so should I be running one of the 5.0x betas???

Yes, and I am working on a new package today and tomrrow that will include an updated version of Transmission (and possibly a flexget package release).

I'm willing to help test anything you need on 4.7 I will no longer be supporting 4.7 with my transmission packages. There is far to much work involved go get everything working correctly, unless the folk on 4.7 are willing to run a version of transmission in the 1.7 range.
January 30, 201214 yr Author So...I have updated the package to transmission 2.42 along with the files needed to make it work (including a new curl package). Please download those 2 and you should be able to get it up and working. NOTE: For anyone running pyLoad on unRAID 4.7. That package will soon be updated also and will more than likely not work on 4.7 either. pyLoad also requires new libraries not found or installable on 4.7 without breaking things.
January 30, 201214 yr prostuff sorry, but I cannot find this: "The "transmission" folder in the "custom" folder on the flash drive" is it normal?
January 30, 201214 yr Author prostuff sorry, but I cannot find this: "The "transmission" folder in the "custom" folder on the flash drive" is it normal? If you had ever installed bubbaQ's transmission package it would exist. It appears you have not, so it does not matter.
