  1. I agree so completely I could have written Gary's post! I too use Corz and would like to see a fully supported tool that creates and maintains the separate hash files. Maybe bonienl will reconsider, and add that alternative some day? It's a little disappointing, thought we had a good hash tool and PAR2 on the way, but I can understand if Squid is unwilling to enslave himself to us! He knows better than most of us the work, the commitment, and the responsibility involved in maintaining an important plugin. Always better sooner than later to admit the drive and interest is not there, before more users are relying on it. I had every intention of carrying on with this, but real life, the aggravation, and from my point of view that I just wasn't having fun doing this one. Sorry guys
  2. Actually powerdown is probably the most important to me if I'm being honest.... Fine, I stand corrected... Go tell your wife you're right CHBMB says the same thing to every plugin author
  3. And one last thing CA has the ability to enforce minimum and maximum unRaid versions the plugin / docker app is able to be installed on. http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=40299.msg427252#msg427252 With the update to 6.1.7 (and the new kernel version), there are a couple of plugins (ZFS and OpenVM tools) that will not operate correctly. Those authors who have compatibility issues with varying kernel versions should implement the MinVer and MaxVer tags within their templates to minimize their support issues with their apps. CA's moderators have the ability to override any author set values (or not set values) on apps which appear to be abandoned. In the meantime, we are not going to be following every thread to determine compatibility with the OS except for apps which appear to have been abandoned.
  4. Oh, and another thing. If you are one of the users who has moved the User's menu to settings via CA and have updated to 6.1.7+, then you should tell CA via its menu settings to put everything back to normal and then restart your server (to get all the system files back to 100%) and then move the user's menu via Display Settings. Probably once 6.2 comes out, I will completely remove this option from CA as it is now redundant and you should be using the Dynamix UI to relocate the menu.
  5. Updated to 2016.01.16 (Completely unrelated to 6.1.7) - Fix: Under certain circumstances, updated Moderator Comments would not be downloaded - Fix: Under certain circumstances, popup descriptions would show errors.
  6. Thank you. I am just about done with a forked version that reverts back to 2015.09.19 and adds the fix for the color issue with 6.1.7. I'll ask a few to give it a test run and if ok, I'll make it available as one of my plugins and you can then refer to my forked plugin. No problems... Anything to stop a whack of recurring support issues. After your release I'll point everyone to yours, and then if nothing has changed in a couple of months I'll remove gfjardim's from CA
  7. I've added moderator comments within CA for this: If/when gfjardim updates this plugin, then he can issue a pull request to remove those comments. Or, if dlandon releases a fixed version of this plugin (and puts it into his repository) then (after letting me know), I will change the comment to point towards his version. (someone will have to let me know as I don't use nor follow the goings on with this plugin)
  8. Thank you! Unassigned devices does not uninstall very cleanly. If you remove the plugin before installing my suggested version, you will have to reboot or you may experience a failure in the plugin because the previous plugin package is not removed. Noted, good advice, Ta! I wonder if it's worth a Mod amending the first post of this thread with this option/file to mark the plugin broken or something in the short term to prevent new users adding it in the first place? I wonder if there is a flag in CA to mark it as broken (and I use this term with a light heart because I know functionally 99% of it is sound) too? I want to wait and see if this really fixes issues for users. I assume it is working for you? Squid can black list this plugin in CA, but I don't want to be that dramatic yet. If we go this route, I would spend a little time to clean up the removal and update of the plugin. Even updating the plugin is messy and I've had to reboot after an update. I'm really hoping gfjardim will come to the rescue and at least just fix the outstanding issues. The plugin doesn't really need any enhancements at this point. One of the later versions lets a drive be mounted as a NFS share but I don't see that as a desperate need right now. Blacklisting is definitely premature. However if the plugin is incompatible with 6.1.x I can set it so it won't install through CA. Alternatively, from a glance at this thread (i don't follow it nor do I use thing plg), it does appear that it is a candidate for a mod comment within CA. But I would need some one to actually come up with a decent comment to put against the plugin with CA
  9. Redownload the plg. Sounds like the copy you have is 10b
  10. Which is probably what happened, since there was a very quick update to CA (actually to fix the issue dlandon pointed out) but I forgot about not having any naked & in the xml which messed up the xml and required a new update to get rid of it.
  11. Minor error that only happens during install. Was going to wait til the next update to issue the fix
  12. I don't have a mac (and don't know about the problems associated with having those files stored on a nas), but I don't think its a very good idea for any OS to ignore valid write requests for files. Just opening up a huge can of worms.
  13. Updated to 2016.01.10b Changed how the appfeed downloads. Now it will only re-download IF there has been a change in it (a ton faster, especially if (like me) your internet connection is pretty much always maxed out). This means that the time stamp at the bottom of the page reflects the last time a change happened (addition / deletion / change) to an application. (In other words, depending upon how active the community is at the time, this time stamp may be from a week ago (or more) ) There is still NO reason to hit Update Applications under normal circumstances, even if the date showing is a couple of weeks old. All it means is that there has been no change in the available applications since that time. However, moderation comments AND blacklists are always updated whenever entering the Apps tab (small files)
  14. Haven't gotten around to talking with Kode about that (or other options) as of yet. I was originally actually thinking about background updates to solve another problem, but this was the easier fix, but now that I'm thinking further about it, an md5 solves other problems that were going to pop up in an upcoming experiment. Will approach Kode tomorrow. Thanks for the idea.
  15. Updated to 2016.01.10 Fixed: All references to AppStore within Settings and Help changed to Apps Fixed: Icon's alternate display wasn't always displaying when template's icon was unavailable Added: Option to not redownload the appfeed if it was downloaded very recently My biggest complaint about CA has been that whenever I bounce back and forth between tabs, CA would always wind up redownloading the appFeed even though I could almost guarantee there was no update to the feed since it just downloaded it 5 minutes before (** The AppFeed is only updated every two hours **) Now, CA will not redownload the appfeed if it has already downloaded it within the last 2 hours (default) or a user settable time. Saves a little bit of bandwidth, but a lot of time for when you're bouncing back and forth between tabs setting up a new container, etc. Also paves the way for something I'm starting to experiment with.
  16. OpenElec IS kodi preinstalled on a stripped down linux distro designed specifically for HTPCs http://openelec.tv/
  17. Or just ask sparklyballs to iterate the differences between them. I know that he can be quite vocal on it. IMHO the ONLY time Plex should be used (if your HTPC's are all computers) is for mobile use (tablet / phone). On a HTPC you're just shooting yourself in the foot if you use Plex instead of Kodi / OpenElec
  18. Yes. And you'll be happier with Kodi or OpenElec running on your HTPC rather than Plex. The only thing Kodi Headless actually does is do background updates of the library. It doesn't actually "serve" anything at all. Kodi installed on an HTPC directly plays all media and doesn't require a server per se (other than a file server)
  19. your unbalance.page is trying to put the icon on the UserUtilities menu. It should actually be Utilities (That reference tells dynamix to find the Utilities.page file which is an OS file and put the icon there. Once that's fixed, then you've got an issue with the size of the icon. (The icons displayed by dynamix aren't resized automatically and have to be the correct size (I believe 48x48). Note that this is the local version of the icon. The URL you use in the template for CA can be any size (as it resizes everything to 96x96)
  20. http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=44682.0 What through me was that very rarely (you're probably the first) that included the html errors
  21. Strange.. They are still there for me.
  22. Oops... Obviously I was sober when I did the last update...
