I'm having a hard time getting my P2000 gpu to go into P8 mode from P0. I've read that adding "nvidia-persistenced" to the boot script will solve it. Cant find anything about how to do that. I'm on 6.9.1

I bet you guys have a response ready just by the titles (thanks for all you guys do) Freaking mover stopped at 27%, i think its the CA mover tuning app telling it to stop, i removed it.....seems to be working now.
-
So i have Appdata, domains, isus and system set to prefer downloads is set to Yes I plan to put it back to that once i reformat the cache....sound about right?
-
So i'm trying to reformat my cache to the new 1MiB format that gets rid of the excessive writes. Here's what i did: Dissabled dockers (dont use vm's, its off) set all shares to Cache: Yes When i run the mover, it doesn't move from 37%. I have the Mover Tuning app, and i even disabled it. When i look in the cache it still shows folders in there: Is there something new with 6.9.0 that i'm missing? I attached the logs from when the mover was going. I see in the Logs: DFTPCT LIMIT USED FOR SETTING: 85 Is this still the mover tuning app not allowing the mover to work since its not above the 85% threshold? Edit: I set the CA Mover Tuning App to: Only move at this threshold of used cache space: 0 % and now its working mover.txt

I just threw in a Quadro P2000, and i'm noticing that plex shows that it is transcoding, but no statistics are showing on the dashboard: This screenshot was with a video playing. Could an old mobo bios be the cause? here's what my app info looks like:

extended test finished. Says errors occurred. Anything stand out? tower-smart-20201003-1036.zip

Thanks. The rebuild finished and its back online. I've got it running an extended smart test right now.

Parity sync/data rebuild has started.

how do i know if the disk is fine?
-
Thought i'd check on the server since i did a case swap earlier this week and it ran a parity check on the 1st of the month. I have a red x next to Parity 2 disk. So far i've: Reboot - No change Re seated sata/power - No Change Swapped sata cables with a different one - No change Swapped power plugs with another disk - No change I did a diagnostic before and after i started troubleshooting, but i've ran out of ideas. I noticed there were some errors before i did the troubleshooting and now there are zero (i had 5 errors before that had been there for a while). tower-diagnostics-20201002-0950.zip tower-diagnostics-20201002-1033_Post Sata Power Swap.zip

I have CA Mover Tuning plugin initiate the mover at 95% full, so most of my current media stays on the cache. I just looked at a couple screenshots and i must have been looking at the flash drive being mostly empty, because my cache was at 89% full before i shut down. no torrents here all nzb. i just confirmed that my cache was not almost empty before the case swap. I must have been looking at the flash drive being almost empty. I always take screenshots and backup my appdata before i mess with anything.

I looked through fix common problems and it just has an issue with tatauii being in slave and a docker had an update. I cleared the notification and hasn't come back. I attached the diagnostic in case someone more knowledgeable than me wants to take a peek. really strange about my cache filling up again, maybe it was in the process of moving when i shut it down? tower-diagnostics-20200928-1301.zip

Alright, the swap is complete. Everything looks normal, except the fact that my cache drive is about full. I could have sworn that the mover had just moved everything over because it was close to full. i also just noticed:

Yeah, i 3d printed some of the trays. Ended up pony'ing up for the metal ones. They just didn't feel sturdy enough out of pla. Maybe abs would be better. I did add a second cage to the bottom, so i've got space to add 3 more drives + the multibracket one ontop of the basement. Did you use the built in fan controller? I'm not sure how they work with unraid....
-
Dang. Thats a lot to change! how do you like the define 7? After i unboxed it i was shocked with how well this thing is put together. Kinda sucked to have to buy extra hard drive trays, but not the end of the world.
-
I'm moving the server from a janky setup with 3d printed hard drive holders full of drives sitting on top of a silverstone case to a Fractal Define 7. What should i do to prepare everything for the swap? I'm thinking i'll make a backup (and store on a windows pc) of my appdata/flash drive and a screenshot of my Main tab. Anything else i should do? I'll make sure that my cache and parity drives are connected to the mobo and the rest on a hba card I'm hoping that something doesn't go badly, and i'm wondering why i tried to fix something that aint' broke.
-
gotcha. Thanks for the info. I'm on the hunt for a backup. i was thinking about getting a refurb hgst drive, but i think for the parity, i'll try to get something brand new.
-
interesting that it happened 30 days apart, and thats when i have my parity check done. Just a coincidence?
-
Thanks! I'm running dual parity, so that good, and i've got a record of it now so i can watch it to see if it increases at all. I think i'll grab a fresh drive just to be safe.
-
I just noticed that i have 35 errors on my parity drive. I accidently cleared the notifications so i couldn't figure out when it happened. I did have a parity check done on 7/1, and it completed and says with 0 errors. I ran an extended smart test (i think it took about 6-8hrs) and i've attached it along with a diagnostic. The smart test said that it completed without errors. Is this something to worry about? tower-diagnostics-20200707-2029.zip tower-smart-20200707-1554.zip

I went ahead and upgraded the cache after the mover didn't move the appdata. I ended up rebuilding from a backup from this morning and its back up and running.
-
I think i'm just going to replace the cache and rebuild it using the backup/restore appdata plugin

i didn't stop each docker, i just disabled the docker service from the settings menu. think that could be why? I figured it would stop the dockers before it disabled the service.
