  1. hi all - i'm tracking to get all the search plugins added to qbt-vpn so i can natively search inside the client. I try to add a link (i.e. raw.githubusercontent.com/XXX/YYY-qBittorrent-plugin/main/YYY.py) to the "search plugin" -> "install new plugin" box but nothing happens. i'm on branche binhex/arch-qbittorrentvpn:5.1.1-1-01. Is there anything i can do to get this working?
  2. Hi - is there a safe way to upgrade from macOS 12.6 Monterey to the latest macOS 15 Sequoia? I tried the install via the upgrade / software update within settings but then my VM hangs trying to update after in what looks like the bootloader?
  3. @chodeus thank you for this plugin. I tried FolderView Plus and it was far too complicated for a simple thing i was looking for, so i just switched to this and it's perfect / simple / exactly what i need. I am using the embossed for now, thank you for that simple customization.

  5. that would really be great if there is an option for legacy view, thank you so much :)
  6. thank you - i just installed it and it imported pretty easily. How do i get the dashboard to look more closer to what i used to have in FV2? Folderview Plus Folderview2
  7. thank you - what are the trypical steps to backup folderview2? Do i just copy the "FolderView" folder in the appdata folder and keep a copy somewhere? I remember tinkering with files not just in appdata but in some sort of other directory, but it's been a while since i last messed with folderview
  8. if i'm using an old folderview (i think folderview2?), is it as simple as installing this and it will automatically import all the settings i previously had? do i uninstall the folderview2 plugin first then install this from CA?
  9. Hi - ive been using the Beta version of this for last few years and didn't realize there was a stable release available. is there a good way to port over my existing settings from the beta to the stable? or do i have to just re-setup all the settings from scratch? i was getting the below errors while doing a backup (leading to a "failed" appendage to the folder), which is why i started looking into this (error is below) [01.10.2025 05:00:31][❌][tdarr] '/mnt/user/Downloads_Temp' does NOT exist! 10. I ended up just not using GPU acceleration and honestly it's not bad at all using windows RDP. I think essentially how optimized windows RDP is > how much GPU power I get using an alternative client is the case for me. I do just basic heavy browsing, some mkvtoolnix muxing, YouTube / video watching, etc.
  11. Alright makes sense, I put them in a new folder /mnt/user/appdata/FolderView/Download.png and so forth. Thank you :)
  12. thank you - i ended up copying the 4 png files to /boot/config/plugins/folder.view2/ just to keep it local...probably shouldn't but oh well. Once you set those picture files, do they get stored inside the JSON itself and thus its safe to delete the .pngs? I noticed when i copied over just my JSON file for the docker, that it still retained my old .png logos even though i didn't keep those .png files inside either /boot/config/plugins/folder.view2/ or the older /boot/config/plugins/folder.view/ (which got deleted anyways when i removed the old plugin)
  13. Thank you - how can I add my own custom png images?
  14. edit: how do you change image of the folder icons? i forgot how, where is the browse button? I found below set of .png logos i want to try
  15. anyone have a good set of download icons for folders? i was previously using these 4 PNG files but the transparency is not working as great anymore, and i'd love for the folder icons to pop some more so i can easily differentiate the sections in the dashboard (i.e. maybe make them a FULLY white background with transparent inside?)...
  16. i just hit alt+enter on the moved over appdata folder to my personal drive, it's been running for 2+ hours and it's still counting files (1.9m files so far and counting???)
  17. Just wanted to follow up that i was able to fix my krusader to launch very speedily (almost immediately)! I backed up and restored the following files into the newly created "binhex-krusader" (i renamed the old appdata as "binhex-krusader2". I think this had to do with the # of files created inside my old appdata because when i tried copying it over to create a bookmark, it still had not copied over after even 1 hour of waiting for copy action (using MC). that's why i instead just renamed the folder to "binhex-krusader2" instead of copying to another location then deleting it. krusaderrc (Main application settings) /mnt/user/appdata/binhex-krusader2/.config/krusaderrc krbookmarks.xml (Saved bookmarks) /mnt/user/appdata/binhex-krusader2/.local/share/krusader/krbookmarks.xml useractions.xml (Custom user actions) /mnt/user/appdata/binhex-krusader2/.local/share/krusader/useractions.xml krusaderui.rc (Custom toolbar layout) /mnt/user/appdata/binhex-krusader2/.local/share/kxmlgui5/krusader/krusaderui.rc
  18. is there a way to do this without removing my custom settings / saved tabs and such?
  19. wait - do you mind sharing what you did? i'm still taking 30+ mins to launch krusader upon reboot
  20. What are the steps to do that?
  21. So I did some more extensive testing over the past two days across multiple vm clients. I reverted back to removing gvt-g from my windows VM and testing Anydesk and RDP, as well as parsec and sunshine/moonlight. For reference - I have a 10700T CPU with Intel 630 iGPU. What I came to conclusion was Microsoft RDP was still the most complete, least laggy client and I will have to just go back to cpu-based rendering instead of GPU. Some notes on clients: RDP (Microsoft's integrated client): it has the least laggy interface, where upon Fullscreen at retina resolution or 1920x1200, everything feels quite smooth. Videos on YouTube don't lag on even with turning off gvt-g, though maybe at full screen / 4k resolution there is a bit or audio/video lag without gvt-g. Office products, general web browsing is all sufficiently okay. Anydesk: Anydesk seems to lag no matter if I gave gvt-g or not for video. The pro is obviously it's running through Anydesk servers so I don't need to run a separate vpn client, and has some other useful features like a file browsers to move/copy files between client/host VM. Mouse is somewhat laggy so it's not my preferred for now. Parsec: parsec was okay, it felt pretty fast but extreme negative is no iOS client, since ipad is a main client I use to access my VM. I'm conflicted that if I need to solve for a vRAM hole in gvt-g, is it worth giving up never using RDP and not having a good ipad client (brings me to next one). Sunshine/Moonlight: this is more primitive, with highly configured settings. The resolution doesn't auto switch to ipad scale (I tried custom and full, it still only output 16:9 type resolutions creating large black bars on the squarish ipad screen), and it lagged tremendously without gvt-g. I didn't really like the moonlight iOS or PC clients, it didn't look very clean and again mouse was laggy. I didn't extensively test moonlight with gvt-g yet. I'm using no gvt-g with RDP + Anydesk for last two days and so far no crashes. I want to test moonlight + parsec with gvt-g vs. RDP without gvt-g to see if I'm getting much more usability in the former case, in return for potential vram crashes. Obviously ideal solution for me would be to get a crashless gpu-accelerated Windows VM and still use RDP, but based on ich777 and alturismo's posts, that seems unlikely.
  22. Going to test out using exclusively Anydesk and moonlight (I found the iOS client), and see if that gives me stability while keeping v5_4 enabled. The other thing I want to test is: Trying v5_8 to see if that creates more stability (typically am using 1920x1200 resolution on desktop and the higher ipad pro resolution on my ipad) Try disabling gvt-g as a whole since I don't play video games but do want high performance VM in my day to day workflow (do I just go into plugin -> remove to make my vm XML fixed to run without GPU acceleration) Do further troubleshooting to see what may be causing the spike in vram / is there a way to avoid it. I saw a few discussions on GitHub regarding different kernels that could prevent this
  23. I connect to my Win11 VM through ipad though 60% of time and I don't think there is any ipad client. I haven't had issues running YouTube videos at full screen using RDP, which I thought was why rdp was best in all my testing. I haven't tried sunshine/moonlight, I can look into it but I need to be able to access from my iPad and from a PC where I don't have admin privileges anymore (it's running wireguard but can't install anymore software). So is there no way to reduce likelihood of crashing less, like editing settings in windows VM itself or maybe switching the igpu down to v5_8 vs. I was using v5_4?
  24. Is this possibly the solution to my problem?@ich777 @alturismo Edit: I guess this solution is no better than just turning off gvt-g (forcing CPU decoding)? I just went back through last 8 pages or so of this thread including when I initially asked a lot of questions about the installation process, to which you both flagged this issue back then! I can try parsec though I haven't had the best of luck replicating the smoothness of RSP with either Anydesk or parsec so far. RDP was by far the best performance. It seems almost certain that the issue causing my server to freeze up is related to memory vram leakage with gvt-g. The question now is - how can I make it much more stable to make it usable without jumping to the final conclusion of stopping all Intel GPU acceleration for my win11 VM / going back to GPU-less VM.
  25. So is the only fix to reduce my Intel gvt-g usage or buy a dedicated video card to accelerate? What are steps for me to just not use gpu acceleration for now to see if that is indeed the issue; then come back in a few weeks to figure out how to make it not crash if it is being used properly but something is causing an eventual crash?
