  1. I purchased a "Coral M.2 Dual Edge TPU" to install in my Unraid Server to use with my Blue Iris Windows VM. I installed this card and can see it in my Unraid "Systems Devices" as can be seen in this image: The two TPUs are 28 and 29 within the IOMMU group 10 with multiple other system items. The option to select the check box and pass this through to the VM is not there so I am not sure how pass it through. Any help would be appreciated. It also does not show as an option in the VM settings as shown below:
  2. Thanks so much for the response!
  3. Just installed this plugin so I can see the details on my NVidia 1030 which I am passing through to my Blue Iris VM. I can definitely see lower CPU usage since passing this GPU through but I wanted to see some details. Upon installing this plugin I see the following in my Dashboard: If I click the expand arrow I see the below image for 3 seconds or so then it goes back to the first image. Based on the second image I do not appear to be getting data but I am also unsure why the expanded display with the "Zero" results does not stay open or active. Thoughts???
  4. I have a BlueIris Windows 11 VM running on my Unraid Server. Following some Youtube instructions I attempted to set up the GPU Passthrough to an NVidia Graphics card I had installed changing the Video and Audio settings in the VM template to the card versus the virtual settings which have been there since standing it up. This did not function and did not leave me an option to go to the VM console. So I changed the two settings I had changed back to where they were and now the VM boots, I can VM Console to the Machine, but the screen is black and it does not appear BlueIris is running. I can do a remote Ctl-Alt-Del and the task manager comes up and is visible but I am not sure what I can do from there. WHen I close that I go back to the blank screen. THought on how to get back to video and get my VM operational again???
  5. I figured it out. Some things changed including the network source for the VMs after the upgrade. Not sure why, but I reset this and all looks ok now. Thanks.
  6. I upgraded my Unraid Server CPU from a Ryzen 5 2600 to a Ryzen 5600G Today. I also upgraded my Bios to ensure CPU Support. I followed recommended steps I found on line. On restarting my server after the upgrades everything appeared to be fine, however upon closer inspection my two VMs are on a network I do not recognise. My network is in the 192.168.0.0/24 range and both of my VMs are receiving IPs in the 192.168.122.0. I do not know what this network is or where these IPs (leases???) are coming from. Since these are not on my correct network they are not working properly. My blueiris VM can not access cameras and I cannot even access my Home Assistant VM. I have double checked all the Bios settings after rebootand tings look fine. I changed nothing in Unraid as part of this upgrade. Any thought on how to get these back to the correct network?
  7. This morning the VM Backup ran successfully and the VM restarted and connected all the USB devices without any problems. Guess things are OK! Thanks so much!
  8. I have worked through my Cache Pool issue which required several array restarts. As of now the restarting of the array which causes the VMs to restart seem to correctly load the USB connections correctly. In a few days the VM backup will run and the VMs will be restarted. When this happens I will post an update. At this point I am kinda suspecting that the Cache Pool issue is what started my whole issue???
  9. I have completed these steps and as of now all seems good! Thanks so much for all your assistance!
  10. So I assume my steps are: Stop the array Install the new drives assign one of the new drives as the second Cache Drive in the pool start the array and let things settle / balance / copy Stop the array again replace the original Cache Drive in the pool with the second new drive added in step 2 above start the array again and let things settle / balance / copy All should be done and back to normal
  11. dataserver-diagnostics-20240606-1041.zip The file is attached. The actual Cache Drive Failure was a few days back so hopefully this has what you need to look at. The Cache Drive just went missing.........
  12. The other night my Server began its monthly parity check. When I got up in the morning it was still running and at about 70% Complete. It appeared to be moving forward fine with no errors. However, I was unable to access any of my Docker Containers or VMs. So I rebooted the Server and upon restart the array did not start due to the fact that one of the two SSD drives on my Cache_apps pool was reported as missing. It was noted that I could start the array with the single Cache drive so I did so. While it took longer than normal the Array did come up and all VM's and Docker containers "Seem" to be functioning. As I understand it I am now running on one cache drive as things sit. I do however now have on my Shares Tab an orange triangle next to the share names that used that pool and if I mouse over the triangle it says that "Some or all files unprotected". I have new drives arriving today and these are larger than the current working drive and the failed drive which we both 240GB. My question is the correct way to reset the Cache_apps pool to use the two new drives with minimum disruption or down time as my security Cameras and Home Assistant system run on this server. I clearly am also not really comfortable with the message that is appearing as I definitely do not want to have to rebuild the entire server. Thanks in advance for any hints/assistance.......
  13. I had a separate issue with one of my Cache Pool Drives today so I need to look at that and determine what needs to be done so I will not look at this for a few days. Will reach out when I have that solved!
  14. Assuming I did this right, this is what I get: root@DataServer:~# /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/usb_manager/scripts/rc.usb_manager vm_action "homeassistant" prepare no pools available root@DataServer:~# I also tried this: root@DataServer:~# /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/usb_manager/scripts/rc.usb_manager vm_action homeassistant prepare no pools available root@DataServer:~#
  15. I am able to attach to the usb.ini file and see it's content. I may just delete the connections in USB Manager and recreate them and see if this works next time the VM Backup runs. That will be this Saturday May, 8th. I will let you know if that works then........ Thanks so much for all your help!

  18. I run the Unriad VM Backup Pluging every week on Saturday Morning to ensure I have a good backup available for my 2 VMs. These are for Blue Iris and Home Assistant. A few weeks back Unraid was unresponsive after the backup should have run so I had to restart the server in the morning when I could not access the server. It seemed to restart fine and performed a Parity check which found no errors. I do not think the backup from that night had actually completed successfuully. A week later when the backup ran it seemed to run fine and complete. However when I checked in the morning all but one of the USB linked Home Assistant coordinators failed to start correctly and as a result my many of my devices and entities were unavailable. These backups have been running successfully for months and have restarted after the backup with no issues. I have 4 USB coordinators attached to Home Assistant. One for ZHA, one for Zigbee2MQTT, one for Z-Wave and a Radio Reciever which collectes data from multiple device that transtmit @ 433Mhz. The Z-Wave coordinator is the only one that restarts or reconnects when the Home Assistant VM Restarts. All of these are connected as devices and have worked for over a year just fine. THis week this same issue occurred with the same 3 devices not reconnecting when the VM Starts. When I login to the Server I can Manually reconnect all 3 without issue. I am simply confused why these 3 devices are not reconnecting automatically when the VM Restarts but do if I try to connect them manually after the VM is up and running. Any thoughts on how to correct this???
  19. I also experienced this issue with "binhex-krusader" several times on two different Unraid Servers. I had noted that it appeared that the "Extracting" and/or "Pull Complete" messages on a larger component fails to complete then the update jumps to the end of the update process over any remaining components. It is not always the same component where it fails. I also noted this issue today on my MariaDB Docker update which I ran a second time and it completed successfully. This feels kinda like a timeout issue or other failure to move to the Extracting or completion phase when updates are occuring. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. I defintiely do not want my MariaDB Docker corrupted due to a failure to complete a Docker Update.
  20. I experienced this issue the other day as well. So I did nothing for a few days and tried the update again last night and it worked. Ii appeared to me that when this issue occurs that one of the larger components/files does not actually reach the "Pull Complete" stage after which I still have the indicator that an update is available. I have also seen this before.... Could it be an Unraid Timeout issue???
  21. I have a Motherboard with built in ethernet. I am receiving a message through Fix Common Problems "Realtek R8168 NIC found" and "The default Realtek NIC driver is known to have issues, consider installing the driver plugin from Community Applications if you are having stability issues or trouble with networking. Search for: r8168 in Community Applications, install the plugin and reboot your server." I looked up on line and this Motherboard spec sheet says it has a "Realtek® 8111H Gigabit LAN Controller". This looks to be supported by the "RTL8168(B)/RTL8111(B) PCI Drivers" app if I am reading this correctly. I see this error but I am not experiencing and specifc issues with Stability that I have noticed. I have though noticed that if I copy several (5 to 10 for example) large video files to my media array after about 2 files copying at a speed of 100 GB, the whole process slows down to about 15GB to 30GB for the duration. THings do finish without error but the process takes a long time. I am not extremely techy at the command line and it feels like everytime I do something like this I end up with unintended negative outcomes. THese are often a challenge for me to correct. So, before I embark on adding this app/driver is this liely to correct the slowdown I see when copying multiple large files?? And are there any other concerns or should I simply ignore the error the comes into "Fix Common Problems" on this? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.....
  22. So can I just go into the isos and system share settings and change them from what they are now to Array---->Cache without doing anything else? Then just wait till mover runs and then go under Settings->Global Share settings and enable the option for Exclusive Shares??? Sorry, somewhat of a newbie and do not want to cause other issues....
  23. I have two unraid servers and while troubleshooting a different issue I noticed that the mover settings for the two servers are not quite the same for these two directories, isos and system. This seemed odd to me since they are both basically system folders. I am not having any problems or failures on this, but am a bit confused why things might be different and what the best setup is. I realize I have the option of choosing these settings regardless of what the defaults might be when building these servers but I am curious what the recommendations on these might be as they are system shares/folders. I do have cache pools on both servers and I do have two parity drives on each server. For the isos folder/share both of my unraid servers are set to Cache----->Array and both have cache as the primary storage. For the system folder/share one of my unraid servers is set to Cache----->Array and the other is set to Array---->Cache. Both again have cache as the primary storage. So, is there a best setup for best performance for this, and if I need to adjust any of these settings is that just a simple switch in the setup for these shares or do I have to do some other work?
  24. Every time I update some of my docker containers I get the "Docker high image disk utilization" message. Over time this seems to be increasing and now has reached 80% with recent Docker updates. I looked but could not find details on the Scrub button. Also, if this is not a solution, thoughts on what might be the issue here?
  25. I so much wanted this Docker to work but I had nothing but issues with it. I switched to running BI in a VM (had to buy a Windows 10 License for about $29 USD) and have had virtually no issues since. Maybe 2 years now? I also upgraded the VM to windows 11 since it was an option and through that it has continued to work very well. I also recall that when I made the change the Unraid CPU Usage was not really any higher with the VM than with the Docker so no real downside from my perspective..... Just an FYI.....
