Unraid Future Feature Desires Poll
With the PRO price increase coming up and it being almost a year since this poll, I don't see any efforts being made in the change logs to incorporate the most requested feature: Integrated backups. Should I upgrade to a PRO license and spend even more money that UNRAID some day will achieve at least feature parity with other free NAS and Hypervisor solutions? Also, will “integrated backups” cover periodic VM snapshots? Or is the catch-all UNRAID discord answer “just write a script lol” still the preferred method to handle backups, even for completely new users which paid up to $250 for a NAS solution?

[7.0.0] Reloading or visiting https://unraid.example.com/webGui/include/Boot.php shuts down the server
Hello, when using a Browser's built in autocomplete to visit your server, a simple GET request to https://unraid.example.com/webGui/include/Boot.php should not shut down the server. Since such requests should be always POST requests, I am certain this is a bug and not intended.

[Plugin] CA Fix Common Problems
I tried to ignore them for some time, but the ignore functionality seems to be a bit broken with 7.0.0, I can't ignore any new warnings.

[Plugin] CA Fix Common Problems
Hello, I would like to permanently disable the automatic docker update check. I have stopped using the unraid exclusive docker templates entirely for multiple years now in favour of docker compose. The Fix Common Problems docker update check is just not working properly for containers not managed by dockerman and basically reports that any "3rd party container" has an update available. This is quite annoying and also makes it harder to see any relevant issues in the reports. Is there any way to disable the update check in the plugin or could the check be fixed for all containers?

Unraid 7.0.0 RC-2 Mover between pools: No space left on device
Hey guys, I just wanted to move all shares from my ssd cache to my nvme cache in order to encrypt it. Since UNRAID 7 has the feature to move data directly between pools, I wanted to use that. However, mover is completely acting up and stopped after moving one share and is spamming my logs: Dec 27 12:41:27 Anton shfs: share cache2 full Dec 27 12:41:27 Anton shfs: assign_disk: /nextcloud No space left on device Dec 27 12:41:27 Anton shfs: share cache2 full Dec 27 12:41:27 Anton shfs: assign_disk: /nextcloud No space left on device Dec 27 12:41:27 Anton shfs: share cache2 full Dec 27 12:41:27 Anton shfs: assign_disk: /nextcloud No space left on device This is impossible, there is enough space left on the disk also all the containers requiring this data have been stopped beforehand. Both pools are a ZFS mirror so nothing special. Please help anton-diagnostics-20241227-1239.zip

Unassigned Devices Preclear - a utility to preclear disks before adding them to the array
Chrome, but on macOS. So WebKit under the hood. Edit: I am actually not sure which parts of WebKit Chrome uses anymore, I just know that there are differences between macOS Chrome and the other Chrome versions.

Unassigned Devices Preclear - a utility to preclear disks before adding them to the array
Hi, I am currently running a pre-clear on 4 new drives simultaneously using plugin version 2024.12.17 on UNRAID RC1. I noticed that the OS will try to spin down the drives with the global spin down of 3h in my case after the drive has been zeroed, and the post read being in progress. Dec 21 20:01:37 Anton emhttpd: spinning down /dev/sdm Dec 21 20:01:42 Anton emhttpd: read SMART /dev/sdm The drives will immediately spin back up because they are being used of course. Attached are the logs since first inserting the drive and starting the pre clear plugin. Is this known or maybe a bug in RC? disklog.txt preclear_disk_ZVT4M7QA_72825.txt

Unraid showing problems with USB
Hi @remblack thanks for your response. Yeah, that is probably the same bug. I have since identified the underlying issue and LT is working on a fix for future releases.

Unraid showing problems with USB
Hi @remblack, were you able to resolve this issue? I am experiencing almost the same problem but on steroids. Completely freezing up my unraid server every 2-3 days. Starting with the emhttpd: Unregistered - flash device error (ENOFLASH7) error. I don't have the file integrity plugin nor powertop installed.

[6.12.10] Cannot fork: Resource temporarily unavailable
Hi guys, my unraid server has been running 24/7 for a few months before suddenly docker services start to fail and the docker daemon being unavailable. I tried logging in to the WebUI, but that was completely frozen. I sadly wasn't able to copy diagnostics, since ssh was also unavailable. Using the IPMI I managed to get the following screenshot while initiating an acpi shutdown. The server was completely unresponsive for a few minutes until it finally shut down. Upon restart, a parity check was automatically triggered, which indicates to me that the “soft shutdown” wasn't performed correctly. The same happened again a day later. The same messages in the ipmi and the WebUI being barely useable, indicating "no flash drive". Not sure if this was just a frontend bug or the flash drive actually having issues. I have been using unraid for 5 years now and never saw anything like this before. The diagnostics file was generated after the restart has been performed. I searched around about the error message, but didn't find anything related to my error. My system has 128GB of ECC ram, so it's unlikely of being related to running oom on a 2GB system. anton-diagnostics-20240609-0925.zip Edit: Flash drive issues likely cause these errors. Beginning with this log message: emhttpd: Unregistered Flash device error (ENOFLASH7) Followed by this: emhttpd: Plus key detected, GUID: 0781-5581-0000-100124105314 FILE: /boot/config/Plus.key emhttpd: error: device_read_smart, 9567: Cannot allocate memory (12): device_spinup: stream did not open: nvme1n1 After multiple of these flash drive errors, followed by more memory allocation errors, the whole system becomes more and more unresponsive. Resulting in docker containers not being able to allocate resources and becoming more and more unstable. Which results in the original error message: Cannot fork: Resource temporarily unavailable At this point, the unraid WebGUI is barely responsive, and this stage can continue for about 1-3h, during which I am still able to gracefully shut down the server using the IPMI KVM with the powerdown command. Uptime Kuma is the only service able to still push out a discord notification that a ping process has failed at this stage. If I miss this window, the server locks up completely so that even an ACPI Shutdown doesn't get through. The only way to shut down now is by turning off the PSU.

[Plugin] Appdata.Backup
Thanks for silently deprecating appdata backup in v12 only noticed it because my backup folder shrunk as old backups got deleted every week. New version is also completely borked and tried to compress /mnt/user/ for some reason. I really don't get why it is looking for paths in each docker container instead of just stopping them and copying the whole appdata folder like before. Stopping everything individually takes forever. I am also not using the weird Unraid templates and switched to compose. Logs below: [17.05.2023 18:38:04][duplicacy][debug] Volume '/mnt/user' IS within AppdataPath ''! Thanks for keeping it alive for another year! It’s really sad to see this project being abandoned again. But I'll switch back to the official branch for the long term, still sad to lose all the statistics....
