MAM59's post in Arrays doesn't start after NanoKVM install was marked as the answerMy Guess would be that your NanoKVM (whatever it is) adds some kind of additional drive to UNRAID
And then, in total, you exceed the drive limit of your license.
From the specs:
At the same time, using the extra storage space of TF card, it can be mounted as a USB flash drive device. See if you can turn this off, else you need to upgrade the license.

MAM59's post in increasing docker image disk - limits? was marked as the answerwhy bother with it over and over again?
Give it a directory on a pool device and it can grow and grow (until the device is full) without beeing pampered by you every few weeks.

MAM59's post in 'lost+found' user share renamed to 'lostfound' when switching from new files/folders being created on `cache` to `array` was marked as the answerI would not say it is a "problem", just "work to do".
"lost+found" is automatically created by a filesystem check each time.
You are urged to inspect it, move out files that you want to keep, delete the rest of the files and finally delete the directory too.
So, afterwards it does not exist anymore and also is no "problem".

* Array stoppen
* "neue Konfiguration" wählen (Pools können erhalten bleiben, Array Platten nicht)
* danach neues Array anlegen (wenn Du wirklich weist, welche Platte davon die Parität war, dann nur die Datenplatten aufnehmen)
Ansonsten:
* ALLE Platten aufnehmen
*Array starten
* Das wird nicht richtig klappen, eine Platte wird als "unmountable oder kein Filesystem" erkannt werden und das Array startet nicht durch. Das war die Parität. UNRAID schlägt vor, sie zu formatieren, das willst Du aber gar nicht.
* diese Platte wieder aus der Arrayliste entfernen (Achtung! Anzahl der Arrayplatten gleichzeitig heruntersetzen, wenn die Parität "oben" in der Liste war musst Du alle Einträge von Hand aufrücken)
* Array starten (das sollte diesmal aber klaglos gehen)
* Array stoppen
Gemeinsam weiter:

MAM59's post in Cache drive more full than expected was marked as the answerthese 75Gb can be the overhead used by the btfrs file system itself. Unlike other OS's UNRAID does not count them in as granted but shows the net allocation (others silently lower the available freespace of the drive so you never see this part of allocation)

MAM59's post in Filesystem for 7.0.1 new install was marked as the answerDepends on how much you are able to suffer. "Speed" drops down to below 6Mb/s sometimes, depending on the amount of zfs disks in the Unraid array. It can even lead to a full stop under bad conditions.
This is because ZFS is "clever and self-healing and self-optimizing". If there is nothing to do, it cleans up free blocks, rearranges (defrags) files and so on.
So far, so good. But of course, this causes serious write operations. Normally (in a pool) you do not notice them at all because ZFS knows that it has spare time. But in an UNRAID array, the parity drive(s) sit on top and have to follow each write. And if ZFS 1 sends the head to track #34, ZFS 2 sends it to #1234 and ZFS x sends it to the moon, you can imagine what stress it creates on the parity drive (and the other drives in the array depending on the write mode that you have selected). If idle such a array may skyrocket! And of course, if YOU then want something from it, there is no IO time left...
So stay away from ZFS in the array for now (they say they are working on it, but I can hardly think how this situation can be overcome by the filesystem on top of the array...)

MAM59's post in [7.1.0-rc.1] Combine 2x 1GbE Ports was marked as the answerThere is NO WAY to "maximize the speed". Whatever mode you select (and that is honored by your switch, probably NONE), a single connection always can only run at 1G max.
In the more elaborate modes, MANY connections can be split among the cards (say PC#1 uses Card 1, and PC#2 uses Card 2), but still, only 1G each.
(this "bundling" only makes sense if you have hundreds of clients fighting for UNRAID concurrently)
So, basically, you are totally on the wrong track, shift your expectations or buy faster LAN cards.

MAM59's post in (Maybe stupid) Q: how to make an formely existing share "exclusive" ? was marked as the answerFOUND IT!
There is a CrushFTP Docker, which has a link to /mnt/user/Backup (the user's homedirectories are there).
So Backup is always busy while the Docker is running.
After I moved all files over, deleted "Backup" and rebootet, it was automatically recreated. Just "Backup" not "Backup/FTPHomes" (would have been too easy to find!).
Now that I have stopped CrushFTP I was able to delete the Share, Reboot and recreate it (with exclusive flag). Now I have to repopulate it, which will again cost several hours.
But again, UNRAID is not very helpful with such a case.
(tnx again @itimpi for taking your time to review the diagnostics. But this setting is not in there at all!)

MAM59's post in Unicast Subnet / Error - should be sent to WINS server was marked as the answerYou should configure the printer NOT to use WINS. Its outdated, obsolete and unlikely that there will still be somewhere a server around somewhere.
I would not call this an error message, its more a warning to take care about an misconfigured device...

MAM59's post in randomly disconnect 802ad bond (SOLVED) was marked as the answerI would guess this is the relevant part:
Mar 21 16:05:06 SAN01 kernel: ixgbe 0000:04:00.0: 2.000 Gb/s available PCIe bandwidth, limited by 2.5 GT/s PCIe x1 link at 0000:00:1c.3 (capable of 32.000 Gb/s with 5.0 GT/s PCIe x8 link)
You have put the Intel 10G card into a slot with single PCIe 2.0 lane. She needs at least 4 lanes PCIe 3,0 (or even 8 lanes? the line is not really clear about this)
Fact is, the card is running in a mode "slow as a dog", it can never transfer 10G this way. I guess under heavy load it just gives up and shuts off.
(Note that not all slots on your MoBo that MAY LOOK like beeing "large" also are electrically connected too. Look into your manual to see in which slot this card needs to be placed)

C:\Users\mam>w32tm /query /status Sprungindikator: 0(keine Warnung) Stratum: 4 (Sekundärreferenz - synchr. über (S)NTP) Präzision: -23 (119.209ns pro Tick) Stammverzögerung: 0.0215984s Stammabweichung: 0.0993635s Referenz-ID: 0xC0A80003 (Quell-IP: 192.168.0.3) Letzte erfolgr. Synchronisierungszeit: 08.03.2025 10:13:32 Quelle: 192.168.0.3 Abrufintervall: 12 (4096s)
Hier gibts keine spezielle config, mein ntp server verteilt per broadcast, das kriegen windows Rechner ohne spezielle Konfiguration mit.
Ansonsten Gruppenrichtlinie:

MAM59's post in HTTPS-Zertifikate mit NPM lokal verwenden was marked as the answerAber die kannste gar nicht in NPM installieren.
Da musse Dir dann schon was Eigenes basteln.

MAM59's post in Replacing Motherboard: Are Array and Network Settings Preserved? was marked as the answerBe prepared that you will need to redo the network settings. It is very unlikely that a new MoBo will contain the same LAN Chips and uses the same PCI bus numbering. So the LAN cards will change and need to be reassigned.
The HBA does not matter as long UNRAID can handle the new one.
Also, the drive positions does not matter because UNRAID identifies the drives by their ID. You can move them around freely normally...
Normally? Yeah there is a small risk that the points above do not work.
If the current HBA does not run in "IT" (JBOD) mode but handles the drives himself, it often happens that the "names" (IDs) of the drives are tampered. The new HBA will surely not know how to emulate this so UNRAID sees "new" drives instead of finding back the old ones. In this case you need to delete the old config and start up totally new.
(and there is also a risk that the new HBA cannot read the old ones formatting scheme... VERY BAD LUCK!)
But as I said, its rare. You can now already take a look at the drive's IDs and if they look "sane" (serial numbers) there should be no problem afterwards.

MAM59's post in Nextcloud AIO (Spaceinvader) keeps changing directories to "nobody" from "sshd" was marked as the answerto stop it, get rid of Nextcloud AIO.
Despite of the Video, it is not working well on UNRAID.
If you really want nextcloud, deinstall AIO and install the "normal" ("official") Nextcloud Docker manually.
But even then remember that you will run into the same problems again if you dare to run Nextcloud for more than one user.
(your "solution" with sshd is only the top of the iceberg)
(The reason is that UNRAID uses only the user "nobody" with permissions 666 for data files. Nextcloud uses seperate users and much more restricted permissions to ensure that files are only accessible by the owning user. This is not possible with Unraid!!!)
(BTW, its not AIO that changes the owner to "nobody", you must runnig a scriot like "set docker safe permissions" to do that. Maybe you have turned in on per cron somewhere? Anyway your dat will not be safe with Nextcloud AIO, so better think of getting rid of it)

MAM59's post in Issues setting IP after adding new 10Gbe card was marked as the answeryeah, but because the port is disabled now, it does not change a thing (also, since there are no computers and not even a cable attached to that card, it does not make any sense)
To "clean" up, I would disable bridging on eth1, set address mode to "automatic" (DHCP) and delete every manual setting (address, gateway etc.
The warning at the extras should disappear then too.
(Maybe even disable the card in the bios so it does not show up at all anymore)

MAM59's post in Setting ZFS Cache custom ARC size not reflecting on Dashboard was marked as the answerthe dashboard shows you what is actually IN the cache. Of course it may be less than the min value because if there is no data to store, how shall he fill the memory?
I dont see any sense in setting the min value (did not even know that it existed before your posting 🙂 )
Copy some files to the zfs disk(s) then you will see the dash value raise.

MAM59's post in Change keymaps in Unraid GUI Mode was marked as the answerno, this is a known bug but limetech does not fix it for some years now already 😞
There is nothing you can do but
* use the LAN GUI
* switch to the text console with ALT-CTRL-2 or so.
The gui "console" is broken.
"go" cannot work because the desired shell is already started and executing "go".

USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!

MAM59's post in Unraid Upgrade to 7 - Dashboard view is empty was marked as the answertry to clear the browser's cache with CTRL-F5 or something

MAM59's post in Upgrading to 7.0 failed misrerably (several times). No emhttpd anymore! was marked as the answerSolved!
Maybe I should summerize to warn potential users:
If updating from a very old (not clear how old, better check always) to 7.0 take a look into the /boot/config/go file before!
if it contains a line like
/usr/local/bin/emhttpd &
change it to
/usr/local/sbin/emhttp
before.
(if you forget the unraid management stuff may not be started after the update. you can ssh in and start it manually by running /usr/local/sbin/emhttp but correct the go file then to prevent further problems)

MAM59's post in Bekomme keinen 2,5GbE im Netzwerkgeschwindigkeit was marked as the answerDu hast aber schon gemerkt, dass Du beide Karten ins selbe LAN konfiguriert hast?

MAM59's post in Unraid server unreachable after disconnecting ethernet was marked as the answerThe Idea Veeah had (and deleted again, why?) also came into my mind.
What you have is not a classic router, but a kind of tunneling modem. You have no NAT there, very uncommon today.
And it MAY happen, that your provider only allows a certain amount (usually ONE) of devices behind the modem.
So it MAY be that you need to buy your own NAT router and hook it up the line. This will serve as the internet gateway for many LAN devices.
So better check your contract and see, what you have ordered.

MAM59's post in Paritätsplatte erst später einrichten? was marked as the answerNö, das ist kein Problem.
