  1. how do you prepay for a year, I can't find that anywhere
  2. How does it compare to astraweb? better, worse, same? I quit Astraweb because of all the incompletes on older posts. It's a similar price. thanks so you don't get many incompletes now? If this is the case i'm sold. They don't have a year option do they?
  3. How does it compare to astraweb? better, worse, same?
  4. I more recommendations? I use Astraweb, didn't know if anything else was better
  5. Hi Tom, how was vacation, hope you had fun
  6. seems to me, most of the people complaining about this are new to unraid.
  7. I have 2 atvs, 2 iPhones, iPad and a mac mini as my htpc hooked up to my tv which has plex installed on it. I can watch something different on each one with no problem. All my media is on unraid so it must be something with your setup.
  8. I would like to do the same thing. I'm pretty sure I just upgrade to the latest version and comment out the stuff in the go file but I don't know how to do that part. What do I type in the go file? Also since I'm using unmenu I guess I can select most of the stuff and say don't reinstall on reboot.
  9. I had the sabnzb download folder give me an access denied error. I fixed it by chmoding something but I can't find the thread on it anymore. Can someone tell me what I did to fix it or show me the thread, I think it was about a week or two ago that I saw it.

    ELF Files

So does anyone know executable and linkable format ( ELF ) and would be able to find the payload offset in the main elf file? This has nothing to do with unRAID but something else that runs on Linux.
  11. Again there are no specifics of what problems you are/were having, so we can't help you.
  12. really ?!! is that necessary ? I don't know, is it? A lot of people there believed the next communication would be 2013. Tom has been AWOL many times and shown us often an unacceptable level of commitment towards delivering a stable product customers have paid for. He could always come on to these very forums and defend himself. umm no, you PAID for the 4.x vesion NOT the 5.x version. Also if you have been around long enough this isn't the first time this has happened and probably won't be the last. If I were him everytime I see a comment like that I would just put off communication even longer. I'm sure he wants to get version 5 out as fast as he can but somethings just don't always work out the way you want.
  13. I 1000% agree. That is a great roadmap for 5.1 (for the plugin-manager) and 5.2 (for multi-array), leaving the kernel and network drivers the same as 5.0-final. Joe L. +1 Please do this, I have said this since before 3TB support. On a side note how much is that case going to cost?
  14. why don't you guys just relax, this happened before and guess what, a few months later released a new update. Things just don't happen over night. I know it doesn't take long to post a quick update but stop all the whining, you sound like a bunch of 12 year olds. Sorry had to vent
  15. Based on my sig, does anyone see any reason not to upgrade to the latest beta? I've had no issues with beta 12a
  16. Anyone see this, what do you think? Who is going to test them first? http://www.electronista.com/articles/12/07/10/wd.red.claims.higher.reliability.performance.in.nas.devices/ WD adds Red drives designed for network attached storage WD Red claims higher reliability, performance in NAS devices Western Digital is bringing out hard drives designed specifically for network attached storage devices. The WD Red range is a new line of storage aimed purely at the NAS market, claiming improved reliability and system performance in comparison to desktop and server drives in such devices. The drives boast NASware technology, which improves the device compatibility with NAS devices, improved reliability with higher operating temperature thresholds, error recovery controls, and protection against vibrations caused by other nearby drives. Users of WD's My Book line will be seeing the drives used in future iterations of the external storage, with the My Net routers certain to receive the same treatment. The WD Red drives are on sale now, with the one terabyte drive retailing for $110, 2TB for $140, and $190 for the 3TB drive.
  17. I know this is fine, I have one SuperMicro AOC SASLP MV8
  18. A little harsh don't you think. If you know of other programs that do what unraid does than use them and stop complaining about Tom and unraid. The problem with a timeline is this exact problem. Something doesn't work for you or someone else and you want Tom/LimeTech to fix YOUR problem before anything else. This happened with adding 3TB support also I believe. Not saying this is right or wrong but if you need everything working or want something added that wasn't planed it messes everything up. IMO I think he should release 5.0 as stable, which I think it is from the little I know, which is very little. Post that it DOESN'T work with LSI cards as of now. That will let more people test it out, he can work out any bugs that pop up and at the same time work on 5.1 to try and fix the LSI issue. 5.1 can be just for fixing LSI. I will shut up now since I really have no idea what i'm talking about, I just know that Tom has worked hard and unraid works great for me.
