Not trying to start anything, I was just asking. But if it works in 4.7 fine than stick with 4.7 till 5 is ready for you. I have an issue when people start telling Tom what to do. They did this with adding 3TB support and now people are complaining about certain things not working for them. Beta's are called a beta for a reason. I would rather see 5 come out of beta and be stable, then see more features/drivers added in 5.1. LSI cards might be the number one card but if they don't work with unRaid what good are they? I would hate to see my card stop working in a future version but if it would happen I would buy a new card/whatever to make it work. I know nothing about programing or Linux but I do respect everyone that does and realize some things can take time. I'm sure it will get fixed, just not as fast as some would like.

If I buy music from iTunes or copy a CD does it go to the library that is being shared out or some place else? What are the benifits and drawbacks using this?

On my computer with a large database it takes up to 20 seconds to connect. It works the same as itunes sharing, displaying the library automatically in the itunes sidebar. All music is on unraid. No delay in selecting a song. You can play from multiple devices at one time. If you copy a playlist into your music folder it will display in the shared library. thanks, one more question. Can I sync my iphone to a shared library? For some reason I don't think you can.

yeah, I updated through sickbeard yesterday and still the same problem. The the episode lists aren't updating. I think its been like this for a few weeks.

1. So how fast does it take to connect? For example I had all my music on my server before but it would take a few minutes, sometimes 5 or more before it would connect. I was trying to connect to it from my laptop. 2. How does this work, all my music is on my server and than I point iTunes on my laptop to it? 3. Any delay in connecting or playing music? 4. Can i play two different songs from it, one on my laptop and one on my Mac Mini? 5. If I make playlist it will show up on all devices right? Thanks, sorry for all the questions.

I have a problem with it not updating new episodes of TV shows. For example it would say TV Show Name 15/15 but I know there are about 3 more shows that have been aired in the last 3 weeks so it should say something like 15/18. I check the log and it says something like "unable to connect to the TVDB". I can post a log file when I get home but until then any idea what I can do to fix it? Thanks

I use PLEX, installed my my Mac mini hooked up to my TV. ATV2 JB running PLEX hooked up to our bedroom TV. Plays everything I throw at it.

I have been running beta 11 for months (almost a year) and I haven’t had any problems, rock solid. I also have some add-ons installed and this is on my only server. I took my time upgrading to a BETA because it's a BETA. As far as I am concerned, it never has to get released. I bought a pro license for the 4 series, 5 is a bonus. I'm a Linux newbie and if I have questions I ask on here. I don't think I have ever asked Tom anything, no point when there are some many nice and knowledgeable people here that can help me, hell I even paid to have something done that I couldn't figure out. Whoever posted about Qnap, ummm yeah, good luck with that. I still don't know why this thread is alive, should have been locked or deleted a long time ago. I also don't know why Tom gave a release date, never give a date unless the product is done and fully working. Simply say it will be released when it's released.

Grow up dude. Unraid 5 is out now, I have been running it for about 8 months with no problems. I wish Tom would just say it will be released when ready and not give any dates. Good things take time.

Don't wanna hijack the thread but I upgraded from 4.x to beta 5.x. What is the best thing for me to do? You say there are many logins with no passwords, how can I delete those or what should I do?
