  1. good to know. went ahead and just tossed kodi on a firetv i had laying around to be the kodi-headless replacement
  2. just fyi, Celedhrim updated his patch to support beta1
  3. oh yeah? was it a byproduct of https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/pull/14125 ? as you need to build off gbm version now it looks like?
  4. beta1 is out already (just blog/public wont be for a day or so). beta2 tag already set in repo. windows: http://mirrors.kodi.tv/snapshots/windows/win64/kodi-18.0-Leia_beta1-x64.exe shield/firetv: http://mirrors.kodi.tv/snapshots/android/arm/kodi-18.0-Leia_beta1-armeabi-v7a.apk osx: http://mirrors.kodi.tv/snapshots/osx/x86_64/kodi-18.0-Leia_beta1-x86_64.dmg files currently no longer work, beta1 was pulled due to AE being broken. new build being made today...
  5. NFS3ERR_NOENT - No such file or directory. The file or directory name specified does not exist. so either the dir doesnt exist but is in your db (issue clean library) or it does exist but lacks permission to get to the file...
  6. yes by removing gitlab ? I only have 4gb of ram on my unraid box, which apparently is less than gitlab ~wants~ requires.
  7. went to upgrade from v1 to v2.. wish I would have had a screen shot but instead I'm using the old settings .json file. I thought I had it setup correctly.. told it to do a backup and I see it deleting my .kodi folder was using: "source": "/mnt/user/appdata/", "destination": "/mnt/user", "destinationShare": "CommunityApplicationsAppdataBackup", "excluded": ".kodi/userdata/Thumbnails", "backupFlash": "appdata", "usbDestination": "", "backupXML": "appdata", "xmlDestination": "", cant seem to make v2 do the same thing v1 was doing
  8. Just now when I stopped array and went to tools->update os-> change it from stable to next and told it to update. It hung at stopping services and the modal window never populated that it was d/ling the update. I then went crap and thought maybe it was the docker or something stopping unraid from being able to stop the unraid or something.. so then opened a new tab and went to stop the docker but couldnt because array wasnt running. Then tried to have it just do a clean shutdown from the gui.. nothing worked. Logged into box via ssh and could see that syslog showed that it was trying to reboot but was stalled. I then tried to kill dockers by doing 'docker stop <name>' and then later just doing ' docker stop $(docker ps -aq) ' but with no luck. I then just resorted to issuing 'reboot' at the cli. After rebooting the box it warned me that I did an unclean shutdown but everything started just fine.. I stopped the parity check and made sure that my dockers would start and that my shares worked. Once I felt comfortable that everything was fine I went ahead and stopped the dockers and then just went to upgrad eto 6.5.1-rc1. It then d/led and upgraded just fine, rebooted and all appears well. While reporting this as a first time issue I see that these call traces have actually been happening since Jan 27th of this year.,.. which is after I upgraded to 6.4.0 final. 9. in previous versions of unraid 6.3.5 and older when you have logging enabled you get a mover started and then get updates from mover as it moves a file. with 6.5.1-rc1 you get the initial mover started message now.. but nothing until the mover finishes and you get all the mover logs at the same time. 6.3.5: Dec 10 08:30:01 husky logger: mover started Dec 10 08:30:01 husky logger: moving TV/ Dec 10 08:30:01 husky logger: ./TV/TV/Arrow/Season 04/xxx.mkv Dec 10 08:30:01 husky logger: .d..t...... ./ Dec 10 08:30:01 husky logger: .d..t...... I'm asking if you can have it update to the log when each move finishes vs queue them up to an array and just write when it finishes. as the time stamp is actually 'wrong' with the new way since the ~50gb of stuff didnt get moved from the ssd to array in 1ms. you can see from the start of the mover to the finished was actually 3 min and 14 secs. also can you use 'mover:' for all the mover lines? would make it easy to colorize/grep out in the future for those that like working off cli.
  10. Just installed the docker using defaults, I see these in my logs as well.
  11. I have saved the settings ages ago when I first installed the plugin to have it archive the syslog. Today I was loading the plugin page open to make sure the syslog option was still set and that's when I saw the verbiage up top and reported on it. So anyways, the settings on the right and the settings on the page are how they are when loading the page.
  12. the nic flow control/offload verbiage is a bit confusing.. I load up this page and I see per the right side that flow control and nic offload are off.. but the options themselves do not match up because of "disable" being used.. which creates a double negative with 'no'. disable nic flow control = no. when I read it, means that nic flow control isnt disabled.. I think the confusion could be solved by changing 'Disable' to 'Use'.
  13. is there a way to stop this popup on bootup: Preclear Disks Install Statistics Plugin This plugin is used to send statistics anonymously using Google Forms. Don't worry, you will be asked before sending every report.
  14. Looks like the javascript on the page errored when I was selecting the exclude folder which locked it from being edited, clearing cache and trying again I can modify it directly. So I'll just go this route, thanks
  15. I run kodi headless on my box and its being backed up with the appdata plugin. The issue is that the .kodi/userdata/Thumbnails/* content is 213 megs and makes up over half of the whole backup itself. This folder is not something I care to backup but I cant exclude this folder ".kodi/userdata/Thumbnails/" from what I can figure out because you can only exclude a top level directory per the Excluded Folder Browser and the Excluded Folders input field is not user editable..
  16. just to note, its been 8 days since I rebooted my nas after doing the upgrade (6.1.9->6.2.2).. which caused my dockers to get rebuilt.. since then I've yet to see kodi-headless segfault. thus no workaround/hack has been done.. so looks like the issue magically went away.. as both kodi and linuxserver said they havent changed anything. so maybe there was just a docker bug?
  17. that doesn't explain exactly the same issue on an ubuntu based image of kodi-headless Jarvis. http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=42439.msg493789#msg493789 ^^^ that image is ubuntu based, the only thing keeping it up is the --restart=always option in the run command. take that out and the whole container crashes with the same problem. any update? per kodi dev.. ask does it segfault without the headless 'hack' ?
  18. fix had work, saw it seg fault again kodi just restarts over and over and crashing.. really annoying as I used this as my main instance to update media.. looking at the kodi forums I see they posted about this: http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=290259&pid=2411449#pid2411449
  19. can confirm, still seeing seg faults as of last night (Jarvis)... looking back at my kodi.log the last entry was: 12:00:59 T:47607460599552 DEBUG: CurlFile::Open(0x2b4c79c70460) http://mirrors.kodi.tv/addons/jarvis/addons.xml.gz 12:01:00 T:47607460599552 DEBUG: CCurlFile::Open - effective URL: <http://mirror.jmu.edu/pub/xbmc/addons/jarvis/addons.xml.gz> 12:01:00 T:47607460599552 DEBUG: CRepository 'http://mirrors.kodi.tv/addons/jarvis/addons.xml.gz' is gzip. decompressing and previous days when it hasn't crashed, I do see stuff like: 12:01:34 T:47812767586048 ERROR: CCurlFile::FillBuffer - Failed: Timeout was reached(28) 12:01:34 T:47812767586048 DEBUG: CCurlFile::Open - effective URL: <http://mirror.umd.edu/xbmc/addons/jarvis/addons.xml.gz> 12:01:34 T:47812767586048 DEBUG: CRepository 'http://mirrors.kodi.tv/addons/jarvis/addons.xml.gz' is gzip. decompressing 12:01:34 T:47812767586048 ERROR: CRepository: Failed to parse addons.xml. 20. home internet is down, made the mistake of rebooting the kodi-headless docker.. it wont start up now cause it hangs at trying to get an internet connection...
  21. I would agree in the sense that the db schema didnt change. However, if there are changes to stability due to the way that the headless install lacks audio/certain things.. that would beneficial? I've had the headless instance throw errors/segfault a few times now... not sure if 16.1 would solve them however. Looking through, I don't see that this time the bump includes any fixes on how it puts data into the db (how it scans / how it calculates any meta info) so this is probably a minor one to worry about for the purpose of kodi-headless.
  22. any word on repo upgrading to 16.1? https://kodi.tv/kodi-16-1-jarvis-mark-xvi/ diff: https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/compare/16.0-Jarvis...16.1-Jarvis
  23. warning to those that update kodi from windows and/or linux: I already had a kodi w/sql setup: firetv w/kodi (bedroom) htpc (win7) running kodi, mysql, where normally I updated everything from. nas (unraid), where the content lives. so before kodi-headless, I would have to update kodi on startup since normally i do not leave kodi running.. thus, putting kodi on the nas (where the content lives) means it should be able to update faster and is always running.. so getting kodi-headless going was pretty simple.. just install and copy over my sources.xml / advancedsettings.xml (use provided, updated relevant info -- I enabled debug logging though) / etc everything work, see it picking up new content without any issues... now one inefficiency that has came to light is the difference when kodi updates the library on a windows box vs doing it on a linux box due to the way it builds its hash. https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/blob/Jarvis/xbmc/video/VideoInfoScanner.h#L195 due to the differences on stat(), it means that the hash values computed are different on windows than they are on linux. which means if the same os updates the library its quick due to hash matching. if its done by the opposite os than the hash was created on, it results in a hash difference which then means a re-scan is in order.. which can result in the whole library being re-scanned.. example: 22:10:06 T:4860 DEBUG: VideoInfoScanner: Rescanning dir 'smb://husky/TV/TV/Arrow/' due to change (1E4DB81B2D859EACB79E29ABE8D27BD8 != 6FB9D4F50C64535E2F30E7E509309322)
  24. It looks like that runs every hour and when it finds a movie or show then I get the following. Then it repeats hourly until it finds a new movie or show. Also I'm hoping you guys can add the dateutil module that trakt.tv needs per this post. Thanks! Just installed kodi-headless, so far everything appears to be working as it should. Just wanted to note that I also see the same entries in my docker log: *** Running /etc/my_init.d/40_update.sh... --2016-04-06 17:29:37-- https://files.linuxserver.io/kodi/LATEST16 Resolving files.linuxserver.io (files.linuxserver.io)... 104.18.61.43, 104.18.60.43 Connecting to files.linuxserver.io (files.linuxserver.io)|104.18.61.43|:443... connected.
