Are we sure the problem is on Unraid? Because it might be on the windows side. Although it would be nice if somehow UnRaid could mitigate it

I also have the same type of problem. - Very often I cannot copy the file as everyone else mentioned - It occurs even if I use a third party copier (TeraCopy) - For a few minutes I cannot remove or overwrite the partially copied file. If I try later, I either get the same error or the partial file can be overwritten - When I am copying/moving many files, it will only happen at the start of the copy. i.e., if the 1st file is copied the error does not occur for the following files. As mentioned before, it might be some changes with how Win treats Samba, but, either way, a solution would be welcome, otherwise UnRaid is rentered practically unusable for us Windows users

Before updating to 6.7.1 I run the update assistant and I get the following: Checking for plugin compatibility Issue Found: dynamix.cache.dirs.plg is not known to Community Applications. Compatibility for this plugin CANNOT be determined and it may cause you issues. I have the latest cache dirs version (2018.12.04). Does anyone have problems with cache dirs and 6.7.1?

Thanks a lot. How would I know if a value is bad? Is there maybe a tool where I can upload my SMART report that translates these values into something meaningfull?

Hi everyone, one HDD in my UnRaid Array (6.7.0) has been disabled. I see some very alarming numbers in the SMART report (which i have attached). When I noticed all that I tried to run self diagnostics bit I couldnt until after I rebooted (probably because the drive was locked?). After the reboot, and after running a short SMART test, the unraid page of the drive says that SMART self test is completed without error and that "SMART overall-health:Passed". It does not help that the problematic HDD is the only Seagate Barracuda Compute while all the others are WD reds, but still I have a feeling that maybe the cable just needed resitting, but I do not know if the SMART report corroborates that. what would your advice be? towerp-smart-20190615-0527.zip

Hi everyone, I am the proud owner of a 20TB WD duo (2x10TB disks) but I cannot currently install them in my server for various reasons. I was wondering if anyone has tried to install the preclear plugin under WSL in windows 10. (or, maybe even on another linux distro like Debian). It would be nice to be able to preclear the disks outside the array. Thanks in advance for any input...

+1 I totally agree. Luck of drop-down menus arrows does not really help aesthetically (especially because it is not a view that people see very often, like Main) and it embeds functionality.

Hi everyone, I am planning on buying 2 12TB HDDs and my cheapest options are the ones mentioned on the title. Is there a reason why I should favor one of them over the other? On a sidenote, guys that own arrays with 12TB HDDs, what preclear and parity check times do you get? Thanks in advance for your input

Just in case someone stumbles on this post, I successfully crossflashed the card

So, I just got an H200 controller. I already have one that did not work until I crossflashed it to P20, but this new one works although I think it is not flashed. It is not clear to me what its state is by the post results: Obviously it has a BIOS (my crossflashed H200 is without a BIOS), the vendor name is LSI but DELL is mentioned in the first screen I posted and the firmware is 7.15.08.00. Should I crossflash following the instructions for Dell H200 from here?

I am fairly certain that the P11 firmware will work fine (although I do not have the particular card) but also have a look at this link. They mention successfully using P19/P20. Btw, if it helps, I have a Dell H200 crossflashed to LSI9211-8i IT with a P20 ( P20.00.07.00) firmware and it works fine. If I were you I would try P20.00.07.00, since it is anyways made particularly for your card, it is not even crossflashing.

I had removed the cardand put back my original SAS2LP in order to use the array. So I put the H200 back in order to post diagnostics and suddenly it sees the HDDs. I really dont know why, before the original post I reseated it 3-4 times & rebooted, I even changed SAS cables and it did not work. Thanks for your willingness to help me and I am sorry for wasting your time but it was not out of laziness. BTW, how can I see data about my controller through unraid?

Hi everyone, I just received a PERC H200 and followed the instructions in order to flash it to IT mode. I followed the last post: There was no error, I was only instructed to skip step 4 (I did not have to reboot). After everything finished successfully, I booted to unraid but the disks that are connected to the controller are not recognized. I should mention that the green light is flashing so the controller is powering up and that I followed the default action which does not install the controller BIOS. Any advice as to how I should troubleshoot? Also how to check if unraid and/or the MoBo at least see the controller? PS: I am attaching the logs folder from the USB stick I used in order to flash, although i dont know if it is necessary logs.rar
