Solutions

  1. BiLKiNiS's post in MAC address of PCIe NIC card change on reboot was marked as the answer   
    I've since rebooted and the MAC address did not change so the solution to my problem was to add a new line in the network.cfg file with HWADDR="00:00:00:00:00:00"
