SMB Shares Subbornly Will Not Go Away
I have had a MyCloud 8TB NAS used as remote storage. Due to other applications interacting with it, I've changed it's name a few times. The old names keep showing up under Default Value when I browse to the new name. I've tried using Krusader file manger to delete the old names, but it is not doing it. How do I get rid of the old names? Picture shows the top two old names.

How to Fit entire Windows 11 VM screen on Unraid ~ Besides Changing Resolution?
I think the problem is my lack of immediate knowledge on how to "pass through your GPU to the VM" not an unwillingness to do so. :-)

How to Fit entire Windows 11 VM screen on Unraid ~ Besides Changing Resolution?
I was launching the VM within Unraid, right-clicking on the VM, start with console (spice). Originally I had setup Windows 11 home VM so I could not RDP to it. Seeing that limitations, I redid the VM with Windows 11 pro. I can RDP to it and it looks good. Outside of RDP, is there another way besides what I am doing?

PNY 2.0 16gb Flash Drive
Yes, I just ran the Unraid utility on all three. Each had a different GUID. Similiar, but not the same for sure!

How to Fit entire Windows 11 VM screen on Unraid ~ Besides Changing Resolution?
I am accessing the VM directly from UnRaid using the SPICE console. Right clicking on the actual VM in UnRaid. I followed this guide as I am totally new to the VM setup on UnRaid https://brianlam.ca/how-to-setup-an-unraid-windows-11-vm

PNY 2.0 16gb Flash Drive
Good News, I believe. I ended up getting the same thing almost at Best Buy. Instead of the 16gb for three at Walmart, I opted for the 32gb at Best Buy. Both are 2.0 USB. Further, I used the Unraid USB Creator and it sees a GUID. I stopped at this point. Spec is PNY USB 2.0 Flash Drive Attache 4 with 32GB. I paid $12.99 for three. Now should I let the USB Creator do its process even though I am not in need of switching out the old one. Again, I just wanted to have some acceptable flash drives in the event of a failure.

How to Fit entire Windows 11 VM screen on Unraid ~ Besides Changing Resolution?
I have a Windows 11 VM running on my UnRaID. I have played with the resolution within the Windows VM. Currently have it set at 1920x1080 and it fits - width wise, but I have to use the vertical bar on the right to move it up and down to see the top and bottom task bar. If I go to 1024 x 768 the entire window fits, but of course it looks like a an old movie with the black bars on the right and left of a HDTV. Is there anything I can do or a feature Unraid has to make it fit to screen?

PNY 2.0 16gb Flash Drive
Walmart has a pack of 3 or 4 PNY 16GB USB 2.0 flash drives. I realized today I do not have backup flash drive (backup of the drive I do). Any know if these will work and if not, what is a recommendation you can actually still buy today? https://www.walmart.com/ip/PNY-16GB-Attach-USB-2-0-Flash-Drive-3-Pack-Light-Weight-Durable-Storage-Device-for-Data/800761044?classType=VARIANT&athbdg=L1600&from=/search

Anyone Recommend a Good Docker for KeepAlived for Two instance of Pihole?
I tried to post this in the container section but it was grayed out. I have two instances of Pihole running on two different NAS units. One is on my UnRaid box. The subject line really says it all. The community apps does not list one, but wondered if someone has experience with one from the Docker hub.

Unassigned Drive Still Showing up despite Being Removed
Rebooting did the trick. Should have thought of that as I worked in IT for 25 years. People always rolled their eyes when we suggested a simple reboot my fix their problem. :-)

Unassigned Drive Still Showing up despite Being Removed
I have a drive MyCloud-8TB_Media_Backup that no longer exists. Instead I have a new one MyCloud-8TB_Cloud_Storage. Both show up. The first one, MyCloud-8TB_Media_Backup is not available nor does it show up under Unassigned Drives. But when I browse, it shows up as available. How do I get rid of it? It is the second drive in the list.

Self-Signed SSL certificates for Unraid Dockers, like NextCloud, a waste of time?
Weeks, Days and hours, I have spent working on generating self-signed certificates for my internal only Unraid dockers like NextCloud and others. I have watched video's about setting up a reverse proxy with Nginx, duckdns, and mkcert. I have installed Openssl and ran the process of creating the files and even imported them into Windows and Chrome. Still get the crossed out https for example for Nextcloud. I even tried Pi-hole for DNS. I tried creating a san.cnf file so I would not need DNS, but work strictly off my Unraid's IP. Logic stays it should not be this hard to resolve the issue. Does anyone do this with their UnRaid setup and with their dockers. Home LAN only no exposure to the WAN and no remote access.

Are removed disks from Unraid readable by Windows?
My original purpose for hooking it up to my Windows PC was because I 'thought' I had read I could and I was going to copy the contents to my backup NAS. It does turn out the Unraid's new 8TB drive restored the contents back it appears perfectly (about 14 hours) from the Parity drive. So that was quite rewarding. I am getting my hands in Linux quite often now so I will check out the WSL. Appreciate all the input and feedback!

Are removed disks from Unraid readable by Windows?
I thought I read once that a drive pulled out of an Unraid NAS could be read natively by Windows explorer. I just upgraded a 3tb drive to 8tb. I took the 3tb drive and connected it to my Windows system by an USB to SATA adapter. I can see the drive in Disk Management, but cannot assign it a drive letter and Explorer does not see it. Simple question that really is are the drives pulled out of Unraid not accessible to read the contents by Windows explorer?

[Support] Linuxserver.io - Calibre
One other quick question / observation. I noticed of my five dockers, only Calibre creates a folder on my cache drive just starting up. I ran the Mover option in Unraid thinking there was some data, but the folder was still there as well as a type of database file after the move was complete. I assume that is normal, but observed none of my other dockers have that behaviour.

[Support] Linuxserver.io - Calibre
Calibre on my Unraid is working great with one observed small issue. When I right-click on a book, any book, and select "Open Book Folder" nothing happens. Since I have the docker being able to find the books when started, and can edit them, I would think it would not be a path variable issue. Is there some configuration I need to do? I have my Calibre Library set to /mnt/user/Media/Books. Everything else seems to work perfectly.

Thank you, it worked! Made the changes you mentioned, pointed to my Unraid server IP in the MooReader app and bingo!

I do not use a VPN or have an external presence at this time. But I did try it and connection was refused.

[Support] Linuxserver.io - Calibre
I have Calibre working on my Unraid system. But I have on issue. When I attempt to use "Sharing on the Net" to work in connection with Moon+ Reader, it advertises an IP address of 172.21.0.8 and port 8086. But that is not working. I've read docker containers are separate from the host, so I am not sure this can even work? I know my Windows PC works with the Sharing on the Net feature. Any ideas on a solution or work-around?

[Support] Linuxserver.io - Nextcloud
You have been MOST helpful. I appreciate all your help! Going forward I am not sure where should look. I took the advice I kept getting and secured a domain name with Duckdns so I can get Nextcloud to run under HTTPS. So I follow a ton of videos to get there. Nginx Proxy Manager, then Binhex-Offical-Pihole (that is working well) and thought with my free domain name I could glue all these pieces together. LOL! BUT it appears from all these self-hosting videos with SSL, I now need something that apparently Duckdns does not offer. The ability to create "A Record" or "CNAME." Again, I just want this to run strictly internally. If I do need more capabilities that Duckdns's domain name, any video or website you could recommend so I can put all this together. :-)

[Support] Linuxserver.io - Nextcloud
Is the NextCloud desktop app stand-alone like the Android app for Nextcloud? or it just a shortcut to running it from the browser? Right now, every time I open in the systray the Nextcloud app, it pops up a window stating "All synced!" with a list of recent activities below it. If I click on my icon on the right side top, it states I can "log out." among set status or remove account. This gives me the impression I am connected to my Nextcloud server. But when I click on one of the listed apps at the top right corner, it brings up my browser and acks me to login. Based on this link where someone brought up the same thing, I am led to believe this is not normal. I quote below. "I want to use an app password for my desktop-clients. The issue is that the desktop-client is not asking for password by itself but is opening a browser windows to log in and to approve access. That is not what I want. How can I force the desktop client to ask by itself for pw use then provided app pw Nextcloud communityDesktop client app passwordIs there a specific reason why you want to use a manually generated App Password instead of the standard login via Login Flow? I’m asking because Login Flow is actually the preferred way of connect...

[Support] Linuxserver.io - Nextcloud
Thank you. A friend is coming over and suggested since I am internally only, setting up a PKI system. I found the "Use the username and password to login to the web interface. Set up device passwords for devices, so you don't have to re-enter them." Way at the bottom of the Personal > Security page. Called App name. BUT, it is not working at I thought. I thought IF I used the generated password, and entered it on my Nextcloud Desktop app login, it would keep me from having to login every I bring up NextCloud Desktop app login or the Tasks app which you access through NextCloud. Instead, at the Windows Desktop login, it fails to recognize that password. I am trying to get to the Nextcloud tasks app without having to login to Nextcloud every time just like when I open Word or Microsoft's To Do.

Thank you, but I am not seeing clearly the location to do that. I've looked at this page from the manual, (https://docs.nextcloud.com/server/19/user_manual/session_management.html) and my Netcloud running on UnRaid is not showing me exactly the same thing. --Also, I tried earlier, but deleted Unraid's Self-signed or user-provided certificate. Not sure if that is part of the problem. The second picture always comes up when I initially enter the url. The third picture comes up when I hit can and try "Retry unencrypted over HTTP.

UnRaid Self-Inflicted SSL Troubles
So I came across a Youtube video showing how to turn on SSL Provisioning. Worked fine for UnRaid. Broke my NextCloud connections. Nothing but trouble since. I have removed Nextcloud three times tonight, deleted the MariaDB and did new installs. Something in UnRaid tells Nextcloud I am still running a certificate. I've done this: Edit config/ident.cfg on the flash drive and change USE_SSL to no And it was already set to no. But Nextcloud keeps saying cannot connect securely to xxx.xxx.xx.xxx the host name does not match any of the valid hosts for this certificate. The certificate is self-signed and untrusted. If I just enter the server IP address with http I get 400 Bad Request to GET Http://xxx.xxx.xx.xxx:port/status.php. So Unraid must have some remaining config or setting for Nextcloud to bark up this tree. I have deleted everything again What do I need to do to resolve this issue with the certificate?
