  1. everyone trying to compete with the 800 lb. gorilla Amazon
  2. I'm not using Plex Home but still get the same error when trying to test. Tower login: root Password: Linux 3.17.4-unRAID. Last login: Thu Jan 1 17:38:12 -0800 2015 on /dev/pts/0 from Toshiba.ftrdhcpuse r.net. root@Tower:~# docker exec -it plexReport /opt/plexReport/bin/plexReport.rb --tes t-email /opt/plexReport/bin/plexReport.rb:92:in `getMovies': undefined method `[]' for n il:NilClass (NoMethodError) from /opt/plexReport/bin/plexReport.rb:321:in `main' from /opt/plexReport/bin/plexReport.rb:340:in `<main>' root@Tower:~#
  3. My file structure is pretty boring (almost ALL movies), running this did reveal an interesting item... a "missing" movie that I overlooked when they all got converted to MKV for Plex (still in mts format). Denzel thanks you
  4. I have one for sale. We can coordinate with Limetech to get in your name. Posted here http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=36315.msg337916#msg337916
  5. Its under SMB Settings Settings | Network Services | SMB | Workgroup Settings
  6. PS. by USB? Argh that will take a long time. Just finished a single run on a 6Gbps motherboard port still took 40 hours == Last Cycle's Pre Read Time : 14:30:58 (114 MB/s) == Last Cycle's Zeroing time : 10:10:58 (163 MB/s) == Last Cycle's Post Read Time : 14:56:29 (111 MB/s) == Last Cycle's Total Time : 39:39:26
  7. preclear runs on drive(s) outside the array. The drive being precleared is not as member of the array so stop/starts of array won't affect it.
  8. Going to price match to local Best Buy and pick it up now.
  9. ah man... how'm I supposed to find the latest Russian pr0n sites now? (joking)
  10. I will defer to the experts on running without parity. Personally I wouldn't do it without parity drive.
  11. when you add these already full drive(s) to the array, unRaid is going to want to format them so make plans on how to copy/transfer the data one at a time to empty drives. You could do it with 1 empty drive. Copy one full drive to the empty one, install the now empty one and repeat until done.
  12. Thanks for the direct link. Bought one. Amazon seems hell bent to sell me one for 169 as all searches show that one, even the link from the cart for *this* seller's 99 item goes to the more expensive one.
  13. One nice thing about the HTPC cases that look like AV components is they tend to hold their value. I sold mine for near what I paid for it 3 years later.
  14. Based on case choice it looks like you want the server to be in the AV rack. I did too initially years ago but have since transitioned to a server box elsewhere in the house (in my office) and a "front end" as you call it in the AV rack connected by Gb ethernet. Reason? The server fans were not only loud (not really loud but you could tell when they were NOT on) when playing movies but even when the TV was off. Nowadays I have a couple media players (Roku3 running Plex client and an HD Dune for direct play - also beta version of Plex!) which are all silent. Makes a big difference to the noise level in the room. One other thing I spotted is you have a single stick of RAM. I seem to recall that you need two to get the best dual channel performance though I may be thinking of some older implementation.
  15. Looking to find a gently used Supermicro AOC-SAS2LP-MV8 8 Channel 6GB/S SAS/SATA PCI-E Controller Card. PM me a price.
  16. If you get one, please report back if it works on all 8 ports. I see reviews saying it doesn't always work.
  17. I don't think it is a unRaid only issue. SABnzbd unpacking/repairing bogs down my i7 Windoze laptop too. I think the Rar/Par code assumes its the only task running.
  18. 2 reboots, first to install 6b12, second to disable the unMenu mail/monthly parity check. Got the built-in scheduler setup for 1st of the month.
  19. thank you for your work on this script. It was invaluable when I could not get a clean shutdown and allowed for troubleshooting that didn't require a parity check every reboot
  20. I am using a 6 core AMD. Others here using as much as dual Xeons. Overkill? Maybe for 90% of the time. But you will be equipped to handle that 10% bump needed every once in while ps. I started out with a Sempron single core and for years that ws enough because all I used it for was file serving. Now with multiple Dockers and Plex transcoding, I needed the extra horsepower.
  21. ship zip is 98208 if you want to estimate shipping cost.
