  3. Sold to local buyer Seagate Solid State Hybrid Drive (SSHD) ST1000LM014 1TB 2.5" Don't usually post used drives for sale but this one is essentially brand new (2015-01-06 build date). No warranty through Seagate since its an OEM drive. It came out of my new Dell laptop (replaced with Samsung SSD). Asking $60 plus shipping.
  4. If I hadn't just purchased a 500GB Samsung, I'd be all over this.
  5. I have a Seagate 1TB hybrid SSHD for sale on craigslist (pulled from my new laptop). Shoot me a pm for a link if you're interested.
  6. yes the target is a user share /mnt/user/BACKUPS/unRAID_cache/ PS. the share is restricted to just Disk 1 so I will edit the path to use Disk 1. Odd that running it manually there are no errors.
  7. I have used several over the years including Windows native backup. I am back to Acronis True Image now at version 2015 ($30 I think) which runs quietly in background, sends an email on completion (or errors). It is dead simple to setup basic backups but has tons of advanced options under the hood if you want them.
  8. I'm pretty sure it would process as normal. May be a bit slower but it won't hurt anything.
  9. I found my problem. I had "Remove extra line breaks" set in Outlook. Turning that off fixed it.
  10. You may want to provide a few more details as to the e-mail client that you are experiencing this problem with. In my case, I get the properly formatted sequence of lines (one line per disk) on both of my e-mail clients. Outlook 2013 on Windows 8.1.
  11. Can we get an update that adds Line Breaks between the drives in the Status emails? Mine looks like this: Event: unRAID active array Subject: Notice [TOWER] - array is active Description: Array has 15 active disks (including parity & cache) Importance: normal Parity disk - WDC_WD60EFRX-68MYMN1_WD-WX51D6402971 (sdj) (27 C) Disk 1 - TOSHIBA_MD04ACA500_24R6K00RFS9A (sdk) (31 C) Disk 2 - ST6000DX000-1H217Z_Z4D04L2A (sdl) (27 C) Disk 3 - WDC_WD20EZRX-00DC0B0_WD-WMC302075224 (sdm) (26 C) Disk 4 - WDC_WD20EZRX-00DC0B0_WD-WMC1T3951491 (sdn) (27 C) Disk 5 - WDC_WD20EARS-00MVWB0_WD-WCAZA0451826 (sdo) (26 C) Disk 6 - WD20EARS-00MVWB0_WD-WCAZA0455320 (sdb) (0 C) Disk 7 - WD20EZRX-00D8PB0_WD-WMC4M2038014 (sdc) (0 C) Disk 8 - WD20EZRX-00DC0B0_WD-WCC300673196 (sdd) (0 C) Disk 9 - WD20EARS-00MVWB0_WD-WCAZA0624983 (sde) (0 C) Disk 10 - ST4000DM000-1F21_Z3024WY8 (sdg) (0 C) Disk 11 - ST4000DM000-1F21_Z3024WMZ (sdh) (0 C) Disk 12 - ST2000DM001-1CH1_Z1F5DKBF (sdi) (0 C) Disk 13 - WD20EZRX-00DC0B0_WD-WMC1T0154634 (sdf) (0 C) Cache disk - Samsung_SSD_840_EVO_250GB_S1DBNEAD812507A (sdp) (27 C)

  13. I did use Notepad++ lol. Brand new install on new laptop and its default is MSDOS format. Easy to fix file using Edit | EOL Conversion.
  14. Cool Ran it manually and caught the DOS line ending fubar ("bad interpreter"). Fixed it and its doing its first backup now. Thanks for posting this.
  15. so if I have everything in the default locations and a user share named "BACKUPS" with folder in there named "unRAID_cache", would the script look like this? #!/bin/bash #Stop Docker Apps docker stop $(docker ps -a -q) #Backup apps dir and Docker img via rsync date >/var/log/docker_img_backup.log date >/var/log/cache_backup.log /usr/bin/rsync -avrtH --delete /mnt/cache/docker.img /mnt/user/BACKUPS/unRAID_cache/docker.img >>/var/log/docker_img_backup.log /usr/bin/rsync -avrtH --delete /mnt/cache/appdata/ /mnt/user/BACKUPS/unRAID_cache/appdata >>/var/log/cache_backup.log #Start Docker Apps /etc/rc.d/rc.docker start
  16. from the horse's mouth: "Greater than 2TB per volume set (64-bit LBA support)" http://www.areca.com.tw/products/pciex1_2p_internal.htm
  17. smart screenshots from webgui 5TB Canvio Desktop External Hard Drive HDWC250XK3J1
  18. Great suggestions everyone I like the external case (whether DYI or off-the-shelf) method. I need to plan this out a bit before I plunge in (maybe RAID0 parity too). Thanks all.
  19. Not needed yet but trying to look at possibilities. My server is full in terms of physical drives. 6 sata2, 2 sata3 on mobo all taken (one for preclear drive slot which is usually empty). Areca Controller provides 12 more sata3 ports of which 8 are taken now. Tower houses 3x 5in3 cages (all taken). I mounted the SSD for cache drive to a rear vent using a 3.5" adapter (sits vertical in rear of case). So I have 4 ports still available on the RAID controller but nowhere (at least internally) to mount additional drives. I have run external RAID enclosures before (windows HTPC setup that predated unRAID replacing it all) by snaking a sata cable out a slot opening in the back (ghetto eSATA lol). But that situation was a single sata port used to connect an Areca External RAID box that took care of the spanning/stripping itself. This time I have 4 cables. Open to suggestions/ideas keeping in mind that cost is a major consideration.
  20. My understanding is this will require setup/config of the RAID array in a windoze box. Software is windows only. I haz no windoze PC, only laptops now lol.
  21. User guide PDF shows a eSATA to floppy adapter included.
  22. Thanks Fred. Pleasure doing bidness with you.
