Joe is there a way to see what is opening a folder with inotify ? i installed it and looking at it and it opens and closes a folder that is normally only used by me and i am not opening it ... besides nobody else using their computers now... only my 2 unraids and my main computer are on the lan now

WOL works fine for me I just need to specify i use /sbin/powerdown in a cron job to put down the server every night at 01:00AM and wol boots the server at 10.00 AM it is not that i put the server to sleep... i shut him down since waking up from sleep caused some network issues... you could use screen aka a hidden terminal window

one of the issues is that it needs port 80 free so you will have to move your emhttp port to another port quiet easy to do so but i guess it is the first thing to note for the rest it is a python script so i guess it should be easy to run especially if you have sickbeard/couchpotator/sab or so running already see this post -> http://forums.plexapp.com/index.php/topic/57831-plex-atv-think-different/page-27#entry401895 seems some unraid user is already running it

both servers updated and both without issues aka the realtek in the p8h67 was working will test a bit more but seems ok

ooops Sorry Joe it is a current data drive on the movieunraid so it will be reconstructed as i thought it would cache drive on the movieunraid is a 750gb and his smart status is OK data from the cache drive which is failing is backed up twice.... one time winscp to my windows computer and one time with crashplan so before i replace the cache drive on tvunraid i will first disable all plugins.... power down replace the drive power up move data back (only a good 40gb of data there) and enable plugins... or is there something i miss there ?

i am having 2 unraid servers tvunraid Movieunraid tvunraid has a failing cache drive and movieraid has a 640gb drive (smallest one i have) that i want to use for cache drive in tvunraid since i was low on place on both servers did i buy 2 x 2tb drives and did following i had a slot free in movieunraid and first precleared both disks one at a time then i stopped the array on tvunraid and pulled a 1TB drive in that slot i put a new 2TB drive and that is rebuilding (nearly finished) now the empty slot on movieunraid i kept one of the new 2tb drives and added it to the array i moved some stuff around and also moved the contents from the 640gb drive to this new drive with MC so now next step would be (when the rebuild is confirmed OK on the tvrunraid) to stop the array on movieunraid pull the 640GB and put the 1tb from tvunraid in its place now the question is what will unraid do.... basically i will assign the 1tb drive with old data from tvunraid to the old place of the 640gb i think it should rebuild the data from the old 640gb drive on the "old" 1 tb drive ? my gut says this is 100% sure .... but i want to confirm this ... as i don't want to have to cleanup tv stuff in my movieunraid oh yeah running 5.12a if somebody wants to know....

Theone, Lainie i have been looking around for another management app then phpvirtualbox but i can't seem to find one i rather would not want to install an extra webserver on my unraid so i was looking for something like vsphere client for vmware .... i searched google but there seems to be nothing different out there that can manage and make guests on virtualbox any apps you guys know about ?

hi guys for the moment i am using an ASUS p7p55D-e as my main windows machine it has an intel i5-760 processor and 8 GB of ddr3 ram now i want to buy a new rig for me and put this current setup to work as a vmware with unraid machine and retire the old p5bplus it should only run unraid, one vm with musicbrainz and one vm with newznab... i would buy 8 gb more ram have 2 adaptec 2 ports sata cards and i guess a m1015 to pass thru now here come the questions: 1. i need VT-D to be able to access the controllers from within Unraid ? 2. according the intel specs space it seems this cpu has no vt-d ? http://ark.intel.com/products/48496/Intel-Core-i5-760-Processor-8M-Cache-2_80-GHz 3. but when i go into my mobo bios i can enable vt-d .... it is not greyed out or so .... is this normal? will vt-d work or not ? i saw i think Johm say somewhere if it is not an option on the cpu that you won't be able to set it ? so main questions remain ... will i need vt-d and does the cpu processor support it or not ?

i am using a P5B motherboard and had a BR10i running in that pcie x16 slot i just changed the relevant bios settings and it worked great... once i buy a bigger case i will probablyput also a m1015 in that slot

well i had similar thing this weekend not sure why too but after preclearing the drive it worked .... not sure what caused it ... i assumed it was the new drive who didn't had the "unraid" new mark ... try preclearing it ...

This will make it much easier for most users to determine where the duplicates are located, and where the files that are not duplicates are as well... Unfortunately, if you no longer log the files in the syslog, it will make it nearly impossible to determine if any exist unless you have either a very few files or a small number of directories. It would take days to manually traverse the GUI looking in the "location" field for them on my server as I have probably have thousands of directories. Please consider logging the duplicates as well as showing their location or provide a utility to list them all on one page, or in one file. to make detection easier. Joe L. When i read this when Tom posted this thread then i was thinking the same thing nobody goes looking there i was thinking or they need to have a reason for it so better to trigger something as a red flag somewhere when duplicates are found so that people can go look what is going on

well the simplefeatures trick for the processor info works on my newer server with a Intel® Pentium® CPU G840 @ 2.80GHz - 2.833 GHz but not on my Intel® Core2 Duo CPU E6550 @ 2.33GHz procesor in the older server although this processor is 64 bit capable so i guess simple features will need to update that thingie to include older processors if you want to make this stock ....

well the hosted ones are giving you direct access to the server / computer in question openvpn or you set it up on your router and then i have no clue how it accesses my server or you install it after your router on a windows machine and then you still need to connect to a server ? call it lazy maybe but i like hamachi i use it all the time only bad thing about it is that they don't have an android client i would love to be able to access stuff from my tablet

I am already using hamachi and in general i am pretty happy with it but what bugs me is that hamachi doesn't have a andoid client any suggestion to it or checking with their support gets a responds like please use logmein now neorouter has an android client but no slack client as far as i can see so was thinking maybe one of our linux guru's can port one ? any other hosted vpn service you guys know that has both ?

I guess it will work but it is a poor board for a unraid server 4 sata ports 100mb network only on the plus side you have a pci express x1 slot which you can add 2 more sata ports i have a p5b plus vista edition which works well not the fastest server but he has been solid for a few years now
