Soooo, its going to be like a 2 step process...? Step 1 stops dockers, plugins, etc... Step 2 would be the scanning and ability to kill leftover running processes not caught in step 1. Step 3 would be to stop the array and any other stock unRAID operation on Main... Is it possible that step 1 or 2 will "kill" anything needed for the web ui? If correct, this sounds good to me.... Thanks for working on this... I have pulled a lot of hair from my head over the years with the shutdown/reboot process.

So how would one use this? Is there a way to send the command lines NOT on the webui.... something that sends the command to the console some way. Or create a console script that lists running process and allows you to kill them.

Why can't you have two browse sessions at the same time? One on the files open webgui and the other on Main doing the shutdown. Do the shutdown and then switch to the other browse session with files open, refresh the page, and get down to what is holding up the shutdown. Perhaps then, on the Main page, some instruction saying something like: "Before initiating shutdown, click on link below, and come back to this page to initiate shutdown sequence." Clicking the link will open page in new Tab or window. And in the Open Files window, you have a refresh button that sends the actual command and not a web page refresh that may get stuck because of something happening with the array stop procedure. I know from past experience that the web ui is pretty unforgiving when stuck on these loops. This would kick tail if it works properly!

A technical question.... when I go to Main and click on button to Stop the array... it normally goes through the process of stopping the dockers and all the other stuff. When something is not going well, I get the "Retrying to..." (cant recall exact words) that just keeps cycling over. If one is stuck in this loop, are we able to then click on the Open Files link and it will take us to the Open Files page with the ability to kill the open stuff? In the past, when I am in one of those loops, I cannot go navigate anywhere on the unRAID web ui. I would rather ask this question than try to make my system go unto a loop to test. Thanks!

MCM for me is a blast from the past. I have not used this in ages... I simply do all my acquiring and post-processing through Sickbeard/Sickrage/Sonarr and CouchPotato and it takes care of the rest. Since I use Kodi on my htpc's, all my scraping is perfect. Even stuff I acquire manually (via torrents, etc) I let the SB and CP handle this. I also set those guys to do the Plex notification as well.

Thank you for this....! can I make a cosmetic request please... the triangular "Warning" icon freaks me out every time I go to the Main page. I am conditioned that when I see this icon, something is wrong. Can you please change the icon to something less "alarming"... Below are some ideas. Why dont you want the data in the cache drive? I use the appdata folder. I assume you could configure it to all be on a disk in your array by assigning it to /mnt/diskX/owncloud/

Or can you explain the problem a bit more? Hi Phaze, I have been using your plugins for a long time. But for some reason, something got corrupt with Headphones and I am basically doing a clean install. In the "settings > advanced" screen, there is the choice of which encoder to use if you want to go from lossless to mp3 format. I keep my library all in mp3. But I want the ability to find lossless and re-encode to the highest quality mp3. Because I could not tell which encoders are installed/active in unRAID, I did the testing of typing any of the following at the command line to determine: lame ffmpeg libav xcd lamemp3 But all of those returned "command not found" and the command prompt. Thus I am asking the question if any dependencies that allow re-encoding are installed with your Headphones plugins. Many thanks for your help and for the awesome plugins. H.

Hello, Hopefully a quick question... I am on latest 6.1.1. I want to use Headphones and have it re-encode loss-less downloads. Headphones is the only plugin I have installed. Which encode option is available? ffmpeg, libav, lame? On the console I type any of the commands and I get "command not found". I also tried "which ffmpeg" and I get nothing useful. Many thanks! H.

You can try with Settings, Display settings, Show banner: Yes and at Custom banner select your banner. Doesn’t work for me on 6.1-rc6 but you can always go to the folder /boot/config/plugins/dynamix and put your banner there. Sadly, you image has to be a .png with a size smaller than 95kb. Image above is too big. Hard to do an image in those proportions in that small a size. Even converting the image to index (256) colors. EDIT TO clarify, this limit is for changing the image on the web ui. Done manually as explained above works.

Well, I had my setup up and running before you made that docker. Now, TBH, I prefer an interface to manage the server and Kodi-headless did not provide that. Yes, I could "manage" the library from a client and let that reverse sync the SQL, but my clients are not easily connected to KB/Mouse. Remote streaming turned out to be a HUGE advantage for Plex, as well as the "On Deck" functionality. Turn on the client, shows you the most recent shows to watch, easy. I also found that OpenELEC + Kodi to not play nice with my AVR for sound. Had to restart the AVR or Client several times to get the HDMI handshake to work. With OpenELEC + Plex it just works. OE is kodi Yeah never heard of openelec + Plex. I do use Plex docker for outside streaming. But I think I have only watched a tv show once in over a year. Anyway I do not want to "defend" my adoption of openelec. I thinks it's pretty common and future iterations of unraid vm's will incorporate it. It's like someone trying to convince me a bicycle is better than my Ferrari. I am starting a kickstarter so I can get that Ferrari. You guys need to Join my campaign and contribute lots of $$. I need that Ferrari. Can you use Plex in a Ferrari navigation system? I am trying to make it work on a bicycle.

I also love the eye candy CHBMB mentions. I have been using openelec for years. Now you get the wetek device with openelec built in for $100. I read you can also install openelec on amazin fire tv devices. Wetek is not great or fast in terms of ui response, but acceptable. What is the interface like on the Dune players? I have never ran into a playability issue. I could NOT stomach Plex ROKU INTERFACE. Once you have used Kodi with a nice skin like aeon nox, I cannot go to the Plex interface. Openelec is basically an os that runs Kodi. It has a learning curve but it's great once you learn it. A lot of the learning curve is setting up Kodi to how you like it.

Is there a way to add a delay/sleep/pause in the launching script that gets put in init.d? I cannot recall what is the starting procedure for this reverse proxy docker.

Thanks again Heffe... Just out of curiosity... do you use nzbs in your methodology, or do you rely solely on bt? The thing keeping me from embracing torrents w/ Sickrage or CP (with or without a seedbox) is the copying of the files to the folders that SR or CP monitor. I have had instances where these guys post process the files in the monitored folders before they are done copying. When doing NZBs, the files are rar'd, and the unpacking in Sab or NZBGet puts it in an _UNPACKING folder that gets renamed when done. The _UNPACKING folder gets ignored by SR or CP post processing. When i went from xbmc to beta kodi, i wanted to use a new db, so its not impprtant. Hi Jowe... I am not sure if you are asking a question or have an issue with your setup. I was simply confused by your line that said.. "what's the problem?" Is the system working for you, or do you need help?
