  1. Last one, I promise. http://i.imgur.com/yC7W4JY.png
  2. http://i.imgur.com/eemZuk1.png Not really my creation, but this is a nice icon. I use it on my MineOS Docker... If you prefer something else, please let me know.
  3. A little bit more presence... http://i.imgur.com/rpjCb3E.png
  4. Ahemmmm.... http://i.imgur.com/4zImTbH.png Just staring to attempt this docker... and while it loads the database... I could not help myself. I think the logo and colors are distinct and recognizable enough that one does not need the word-mark "Musicbrainz". I will keep tweaking.
  5. ps... If you cannot access the plugin to create the swapfile, create a swapfile via command line. Something like, but substitute proper unRAID paths... http://www.cyberciti.biz/faq/linux-add-a-swap-file-howto/ Only perform steps: 2, 4 Create it somewhere on an array drive and then launch it by: swapon /mnt/cache/.custom/swapfile
  6. If you are low on ram, use the swapfile plugin... not an ideal substitute for more ram, but can save you some headaches. http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=25816.0
  7. You must also copy the .cfg files for yor shares and disks from the old thumbdrive.
  8. OK, last night I bought and added two 1TB drives to use as a cache pool. Adding them went without a hitch. Once all were formatted, I clicked on the first cache drive, and I hit the button labeled "Balance". I then restored everything I had from my cache drive backup (the appdata folder, and a VM). Made sure that appdata share was "cache only". Finally I recreated my dockers (saving the docker image in cache drive) and all is working nicely. I clicked the first cache drive again, and I notice the below: Do I need to hit "Balance" again? How often does one need to "balance"? Many thanks for all the advice. H.
  9. thank you itimpi.... going to stop by computer store on the way home to buy a new one...
  10. I had a cache drive fail on me yesterday; I was getting i/o errors when trying to copy files from it. I was able to rebuild it using an older 2TB drive I had laying around. I copied all my appdata folders, created a new docker image on it and rebuilt all my dockers. In addition, I have an img file I created from a real Ubuntu Server using dd. I am able to run it as a VM. Today my server seemed to hang up, and the only way I could get it to come back was to do a physical reboot (pushing and holding the power button). No reboot commands on the cli worked. Upon boot up, I got a few warnings about my new (but re-used) cache drive. The below is what shows up when I click on the cache drive: Do I need to worry about this? Is there a command I can use to scan and fix errors? It seems like problems with 2 consecutive drives... I am tempted to go out and buy a couple 1 TB drives to use as a cache pool. If anyone has an idea of what is going on, please let me know. Thanks!!
  11. Thanks again... going to see what other drives I have floating around....
  12. Thanks Trurl.... does not look simple... Cannot figure out where the "Balance Utility" is... also, do cache pool drives need to be same size?
  13. I am embarrased to ask this basic question.... With cache drive pooling, if I have more than one cache drive, is there some type of protection if one of the drives fails? I just had my cache drive fail and had to rebuild a lot from backup, etc. I want to avoid this. Thanks, H.
  14. Thank you guys all very helpful. Sorry I missed your replies earlier. I eliminated the half working swapfile plugin... I have 12GB physical RAM. I have done a couple array stops and so far so good.
  15. Trying to get this to work.... will it work if the swapfile is in a hard drive that is ReiserFS (array drive) or BTRFS (my cache drive). My array drives are old and I rather not reformat.... I do have a new cache drive which is btrfs. I created a new unRAID system for my sister, and it works perfectly if I store it to XFS formatted drive (array). But I need this to work on my old system. Please help. Thanks!
  16. Creates your own server... you need to read around on how to setup. My son knows better than I. It definitely works on desktop version of MC. not sure what is involved to make one for ios or xbox. Not a big expert. I am sure there plenty of info out there.
  17. I believe you first have to install a Mysql Docker and get it configured. I recommend the MariaDB docker.Once its configured, you enter the value of host name, the IP number, and possibly port... If you set up w/ a username and password, you enter it here as well. Not sure if you have to create a database for FreshRSS first, or if it will create it for you.
  18. You are the best!!! I could never have gotten started w/ Docker or ReverseProxy without you... you are a true gentleman....
  19. Coppit how does this work? Do you simply install it and it takes over? So next time I putty to unRAID it is "using" the improved SSH? Sadly I get many interruptions when using SSH to one of my Ubuntu VM's... I assume I would have to install Mosh into my Ubuntu VM... Thanks for this.
  20. with your rig, you get the juice to run your own indexer. ...and the entire computer system of a government agency.
  21. Codo, you cannot imagine how much easier usenet is... specially for currently active shows. It gets the show within an hour of airing and you never have to worry about seeding and the copying of downloaded files. I use torrent ONLY for older shows.
  22. I have tried a bunch of stuff... I think I have narrowed down to NZBMegasearch... I uninstalled it, but it does not always work. Someone should create a really smart script... not to turn it off, but to stop the array (and not reboot). My only tool is this: (assuming/hoping its something in cache) lsof /mnt/cache fuser -mv /mnt/cache kill PID where PID is the process ID number.
  23. Did not know that....! Setting up right now. Thanks .
