  1. When I meant I am a visual person, I meant that I look at a picture (or icon) before I read the caption. I identify things by the image. What I did was the best I could do with my coding skills.... Bonienl the tile idea sounds promising.
  2. On the Dashboard page I believe I have them at 62px... The ones on the Docker Manager page I left at the same size. My biggest issue before was the large spacing between the icons. I wanted to tighten that a bit... with the original icon size, all my icons took about one and a half rows. With my tightening the space, I was able to make them all fit on one row. Since there was still a lot of white space between icons because of the long text labels of the dockers, I made the icons bigger and the text size smaller and a changed to arial narrow font. Since I am a visual person, and the icons are so nice, I think they look nice bigger. Bonienl your work is amazing... It was only this part that was "bugging" me. I don't know anything about functionality and the reasoning of standardizing icon sizes, so please take my comments as coming from someone ignorant in this matter. Most docker icons tend to be big... over 100px - they show big in "Community Applications" ... and I have been creating modifying, embellishing, and sharing icons for various dockers. Thanks, H.
  3. WOW the SMB Mounting of "unassigned devices" plugin works very nicely. thanks for suggesting that!!
  4. Thank you archedraft... This command worked.... mount -t cifs //192.168.0.200/Media /mnt/remote_share -o guest,rw,iocharset=utf8,file_mode=0777,dir_mode=0777
  5. I am currently building a second unRAID server forone of my sisters. I have the 2 servers on the same network. I want to transfer a bunch of files from server to server via MC... On my original server with internal IP of 192.168.0.201 I typed this on the command line; mkdir /mnt/remote_share mount -t cifs -o //192.168.0.200/user/Media /mnt/remote_share It did not work... any idea how I can do this? I hope its an easy answer. Many thanks, H. ps. this did not work either: mount -t cifs -o //192.168.0.200/Media /mnt/remote_share
  6. I got tired of looking at thedashboard icons so small and so spread out. So I tweaked a few settings and I came up with the below. Doesn't this look better? Constructive comments please... it would be great if this re-design could be made as part of the unRAID Web UI. My tweaks are not perfect, but they can give an idea of the end result.
  7. Still having the same problem on my 2 trackers....
  8. I have been tweaking icons today.... Perhaps someone will like these icons better than the original... I like the second one as its most legible when reduced. http://i.imgur.com/8dWmilM.png http://i.imgur.com/ozvpQfb.png http://i.imgur.com/kMbtgQS.png Thanks.
  9. I cant stant the rTorrent original logo.... sorry rTorrent creators... its just too 1990's looking. I created this one a while ago, trying to keep in the spirit of the original. http://i.imgur.com/E2PXVmN.png
  10. Since I always do more than one... http://i.imgur.com/s5w5PYv.png
  11. I did a little tweaking to icon, to make it less harsh and less contrasty. Feel free to use it it you like it. http://i.imgur.com/Hr8quvV.png
  12. Trying it.... but when I add a site where I do have an account, after I enter the correct username/password, I get: Configuration failed: Error getting response stream (ReadDone1): ReceiveFailure This may Jackett itself and not the docker... but pehaps someone knows. Also, how do I add any of the new trackers to Sonarr? I see the API... saw instructions at botton of Jackett web GUI. Thanks!
  13. I am wanting to do this. But I cannot figure out a couple of things. Say I manually obtain torrents from private trackers. In unRAID I have: /mnt/user/downloads/ /mnt/user/downloads/torrents/watch/ /mnt/user/downloads/torrents/watch/movies /mnt/user/downloads/torrents/watch/tv /mnt/user/downloads/torrents/watch/music So if I am getting a movie I save it to the proper folder above. I can setup an rsync that wil take the entire folder /watch and sync to the equivalent on the seedbox. The seed box will find it, apply proper label, download, and copy completed to a specified folder on the seedbox. I do the copy because I need to keep seeding to maintain proper ratios. I can then do a separate rsync process to get the completed download to the appropiate folder in unRAID.... something like: /mnt/user/downloads/torrents/complete/ /mnt/user/downloads/torrents/complete/movies /mnt/user/downloads/torrents/complete/tv /mnt/user/downloads/torrents/complete/music I can have my Autoprocess from Sonarr/Sickrage and Couchpotato monitor those folders and to put the file in the right place on my media share. Ideally I would like to try to automate the rsync processes (via crontab). But what happens after the files get processed locally and moved away from the /downloads/complete folder on the next rsync??? The files are still in the seedbox's /complete folder. They will get re-synched back to the now empty local /complete folder. This is begging for a nice turnkey solution as originally posted by benflux. I assume one will need scripts on the seedbox to delete after rsync, etc. Any thoughts? Thanks, H. btw. The seedbox I subscribe to uses ruTorrent.
  14. I did create my appdata as cache only from start. Before, with plugins, I was placing them in mnt/cache/.custom; in fact I still use this for some plugins. This is from unRAID 4 years ago. When staring with dockers, I was trying to place them inside .custom... until I read and saw all the examples using appdata. Thus I was able to create it clean-cache-only. I just ordered parts to build an unRAID server for my little sister. I hope this nice clean install-from-scratch will go smoothly. My pet peeve for ages is never being able to stop the array from GUI and not get stuck with the "re-trying to un-mount shares" message. I do use powerdown package... and then I have to putty and type reboot. I will need the swapfile plugin as it has only 2GB RAM... basic Sab, SickX, CP, etc.
  15. Its running great after about 12 hours... my recent log shows a few of these: [Jul 15 05:37:26] Couldn't update. Trying again in 5 minutes. Output from curl command was "curl: (56) SSL read: error:00000000:lib(0):func(0):reason(0), errno 104". But it keeps chugging afterwards... not sure if they are endemic minor interruption with either my ISP, or no-ip, or my router... I get them very sporadically, yet not too often. It's nice that it ignores the error and it keeps updating properly in subsequent updates. Thank you!!
  16. If you want to boot a Live version of Mint...sure. It won't touch your HD unless you tell it to. For data persistence you can look into casper-rw. I never messed with it though. Still trying to wrap my head around this... unRAID is my home server... mainly store media, documents... My desktop is Win 7. If I want to boot into something like PartedMagic, I stick my PartedMagic thumb drive into the machine and boot it. I use it to image disks, clone stuff... partition things, etc. Is there anything else the PXE stuff would let me do? I get the upcoming Openelec virtual booting... but now you can get one of these Wetek.opelec htpcs for $99... (on openelec.tv web site)... so this seems much simpler that try to run OE from unRAID.... I just ordered one of them today to test out- I hope its better than OE on a Raspberry Pi.. Any thoughts on this? Please do not take my ignorance for arrogance; I really do not understand much about virtualization. I do not deploy windows installations.. when Win 10 comes out, I will install it on an old hdd to test it. Thanks... H.
  17. Thank you coppit. I have just upgraded, and so far so good. I will let it run overnight and report how its going. Thanks again, H.
  18. I will change my configurations.... to /mnt/cache
  19. /mnt/user/appdata/nameofdocker = /mnt/cache/appdata/nameofdocker But I was advised that we should always call it under from /mnt/user
  20. I'm not exactly sure what this means. Do I need to create a "User Share" named "appdata"? What settings should I use for the share? Yes. Must set to Use cache disk: Only Trurl.... seems like this is asked everyday.... someone should do a newbie "guide" for this.... complete with screencaps....
  21. After a while of running the Docker, I notice that it stops working.... on the log screen, I see this (ip number changed for privacy): [Jul 14 09:20:15] No-IP successfully called. Result was "nochg 108.111.111.111". [Jul 14 09:25:21] No-IP successfully called. Result was "nochg 108.111.111.111". [Jul 14 09:30:24] Something went wrong. Check your settings. Result was "". [Jul 14 09:30:24] For an explanation of error codes, see http://www.noip.com/integrate/response Would it be better running the script as a cron task rather that a continuously looping script? Not sure if my internet was down for a little or what may have caused this. It has happened 3 times in the past 2 days. Thanks.. H.
  22. I could never get it to work properly.... sorry. Try again, but no promises on how it works. YOu will need to go to the nZEDb forum for help configuring nZEDb... not that I dont want to elp; its that its been a while since I set nZEDb up... I use it in a VM, not the docker.
  23. Its thru imgur... not sure how long they keep stuff up...just as a safe keeping, download it and re-up in case they remove it... I am glad you like it. Thanks for this docker!
  24. I may be wrong, but I believe the general consensus is that you do NOT want to open unRAID to the internet. It is not really geared for security and too much risk for the benefit. I have setup a VPN through my router and it works nicely.
