  1. 2. Heffe thank you for sharing this.... it will take me a while to absorb and understand what you are doing but I AM going to try it. I just signed up for PulsedMedia and it is horrible. They disable AutoTools so its basically useless in terms of automating anything with CP, Sonarr, etc.
  3. Hi N. After a quick test in websync - which is as far as my rsync experience goes-- showed me that I could not connect to a seedbox I joined with SFTP... I can only connect to it using FTP (Filezilla). I did not see an FTP option in Websync... Reality is that I have not used the seedbox in a VERY long time nor have I used it in any type of workflow. When torrenting, I use rTorrent docker, which I guess its not a great thing if my ISP gets nosy.
  4. Thank you Wicked... I think the risk vs reward for me would be to stay at reiserfs with what I have. I really do not have more room in my case for new drives, or sata slots, or pci slots for additional sata cards... I am maxed out on all fronts at 12 drives. I have a 4TB parity and still have two 2TB drives and two 3TB drives that I can replace for an additional 6TB of storage.
  5. Is this worth the effort? What are the benefits? Also when I add a new drive to the array, will unrRAID give me the option for which file system to format the drive? In a different format than the other array drives? My 5+ year old unraid server has been plugging along with reiserfs array drives. I have not added a new drive to the array since the beginning; I have been up-sizing my array drives (and rebuilding the drive) to increase capacity. I am on the latest 6.1rc release and my cache is btrfs... all dockers, only use basic plugins like swapfile, community apps, nerdtools, shutdown, pre-clear, etc. For me to go to XFS, I would have to transfer close to 20TB of data. Thaks.
  6. Seedboxes are servers you rent for the purpose of torrents. If you want to torrent in your unRAID, you will need to use the Deluge, Transmission, or rTorrent dockers... But this has nothing to do with centralizing Kodi. Also torrenting is an alternative method of media acquisition than the Sab/NZB route. You can do both, but for getting 'current' stuff, it is easier IMHO to go the NZB route. For older past-released stuff, torrents are better.... But I think this discussion may be heading in a direction that is not unRAID related.
  7. Sounds like you are on your way... The main purpose of centralizing Kodi is if you have more than one htpc in your home. If you do, then centralization only requires you to update one library, and all your htpcs will be synchronized. If you start watching a movie on one, you can pick up where you left off on another. To make this happen, Google "Kodi Centralized Database" and you will find guides on their wiki. You need to install the MariaDB docker and this is your MySQL server. Good luck.
  8. I thought cache drive had to be BTRFS in order for Docker to work... can anyone please confirm. You are sttoring the Docker.img file on the cache drive right?
  9. With Madsonic (which should be the same as Subsonic) I use: <VirtualHost *:80> ServerName music.yourdomain.com ProxyRequests Off <Proxy *> Order deny, allow Allow from all </Proxy> ProxyPass / http://192.168.0.201:4040/ ProxyPassReverse / http://192.168.0.201:4040/ </VirtualHost> Change the ports and domain as necessary. All thanks and credits need to go the the illustrious Mr. CHBMB!
  10. Hi Sparkly.... this worked like a charm at one time for me. I used it to backup my appdata folder from my cache drive into the array. It was one of those set it and forget it situations. I have noticed that after a reboot of the server, or a re-install of the software, none of the settings come back. Is there a way for the configuration to be saved into the appdata folder? There is no folder mapped to the config in the Docker. Many thanks! H.
  11. Not sure which one I prefer: http://i.imgur.com/vVjtXmW.png EDIT: Fixed a couple minor things on this one. EDIT 2: Added the option below: http://i.imgur.com/q1fcB7i.png
  12. No luck.... but I am OK with Maria and PHPMyAdmin... Thanks though. This is a slight tweak of my MariaDB icon. http://i.imgur.com/hBAk4AA.png Let me know what you think. I can try other tweaks but wife is yelling at me to go out to dinner. Will try later on.
  13. Getting the same database connection error as well. I cannot use port 81 as another docker uses this... I have tried various numbers but Get to the login screen and I get the error: "Database connection failed to the server"
  14. I am REALLY not an expert... but have you tried to scrub your cache drive? Its like an error checking/repairing utility for BTRFS drives. Go into the Main screen where you see all drives listed. Click on the word "cache" where your cache drive is listed. On the page that opens there is a button that says "Scrub"... run that and refresh screena nd it will show if there are errors. If you have errors, you will need to remove the -r in the text box and run it again. If you get uncorrectable errors, you need to backup the data on your cache drive, re-format it and rebuild again. Also check the SMART report oon same page below to see if there issues with HDD. A bad drive caused some headaches for me...
  15. To make life easier.... I now use the Pre-clear plugin.... it makes it soooo simple. Just read the installation instructions carefully. https://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=39985.0
  16. As requested... I will add to my signature right now. If I forgot or missed an icon, please chime in and I will add it.
  17. I have NFS enabled... but I am not sure if I have anything actually accessing via NFS. I may have Openelec using Zeroconf... or Samba.
  18. I'm having this same issue although I haven't noticed any negative effects from it. However, I may not be looking closely enough. I'm upgrading to RC3 and hoping it solves the problem. I had this and reported it up to Tom as well, but never saw any negative effects either. There are plenty of semi-random things that may appear in a log event, but if you don't notice anything to indicate there is a problem, it's not something I would even recommend submitting a defect report against. We need something to "break" and break consistently for us to recreate the issue so we can fix it ourselves. Nothing breaking? Nothing getting fixed. The problem with this one is that message shows up on any and all open sessions including putty. Very annoying when you in the middle of nano. That being said, it was very intermittent, and since RC-3, I haven't noticed it at all I have gotten it w/ RC3... As I said, intermittent, and there was an instance while I was in putty, that it kept popping up about 4 times in a row, and freezing my putty session for about 15 seconds...
  19. I'll second that. Hernando, might I suggest a public imgur gallery that we can all use for your beautiful icons? Perhaps even a link to it in your forum signature... You're very talented so I'm sure a lot of people will want to use your work.. Sure thing guys.... I need to collect them all from various places where I have saved them. I will do this first thing when I get to office tomorrow. I will also need to figure out how to use the imgur gallery... is that something I can keep adding to?
  20. Using 6.1-rc3 and its also happening intermitently to me as well.
  21. Nuke it and recreate seems to be the only noncomplicated way of fixing BTRFS issues. But if you do attempt the complicated and lengthy process of trying to fix btrfs, please let us know your experience and results. How do I nuke it? I will attempt a backup first. update: I nuked by stopping the array, and un-assigning the second cache drive from the cache pool. It then prompted me to re-format. I guess it had to do with the raid stripeing. Then I re-assigned the second drive and now I am clean. Copying my backup back to cache.... long process. Thanks everyone!

  23. Thank you guys.... I ran a scrub and it found 2 UNCORRECTABLE errors.... Googling how to fix gives very complicated and un-clear answers. Running a second scrub, but any ideas how to fix? Thanks again.
  24. I suspect you have BTRFS corruption, so I doubt if the unRAID version matters. Try repairing it (Maintenance mode, click on the disk, go to Check filesystems). Thank you Rob... I stopped the array... click on maintenance mode button in Main, and started array. I clicked on the Cache drive from Main, but I cannot figure out where to go to Check Filesystems... I have all the Smart Test buttons... but none are "check filesystem". Balance and Scrub are greyed-out in Maintenance mode. Hard Drives in Cache pool are less than a month old. Regular spinner drives. Thanks again, H.
  25. Thanks N. I just noticed rc3 and I upgraded. I will let it run overnight and hope for the best. I am also not doing the table fix inside the VM in case that was the culprit...
