  1. Did you ever get Syslog Server setup?
  2. Order doesn't matter with single parity. However If I understand your first post correctly, I suspect parity may be far from valid at this point, since you were shrinking the array. Parity might be less out-of-sync if you put those other disks back in. Wait for @JorgeB to comment further.
  3. Are you using the server for anything else during this?
  4. SMART attributes 1 and 200 are also important for WD Red drives, but you have to add these attributes to the list for each drive before Unraid will warn about them. I don't know if the various preclear utilities report on those attributes or not.
  5. NZBGet is telling radarr that the file is at /data/Complete/... Suspect you don't have a /data folder in radarr. Study the links Squid gave.
  6. No point in formatting it first because Unraid will clear it when you add it to a new slot. Then you can format it while it is in the array. Suspect the question is based on a vague idea of what format does. Be sure to get a new backup of flash after. Reusing parity as data is exactly the scenario you don't want to be caught with an old backup that thinks that disk is still parity. Several have lost data that way.
  7. Moved the thread to Legacy Support. I don't know if anyone is going to remember what to do. Probably most on the forum have never even used that version. I seem to remember there not really being any method that would always successfully give a clean shutdown. Sometimes even on the latest a hard reset is necessary. And it isn't likely to make anything worse. If you want to try to give us more information see here:
  8. Return Merchandise Authorization In other words, return for warranty replacement or refund
  9. Moving or copying files using any method could cause unexpected results if you mix user shares and disks. Moving can also cause unexpected results when both source and destination are user shares. See this post for an explanation of both scenarios:
  10. I am guessing this is autocorrect for "As trurl said" 😁
  11. Arguably rebuild is slightly easier and probably less likely to make errors, but people sometimes invent ways to make errors anyway. Let us know if you need more details about how to proceed.

Don't understand. Blocking incoming ports are the purpose of firewall. You definitely don't want to allow most ports especially 80,443. Use the built-in WireGuard VPN if you want remote access to your server.
  13. And it would likely be a major change to the way parity currently works for little or no benefit. Changing the core NAS functionality at this level would require more testing than almost anything else attempted. Expect this to be so far down the priority list to never happen.
  14. Prepare flash as new install and copy config folder from backup.
  15. Maybe power issue? Of course syslog is in RAM so diagnostics has nothing before that. You might setup Syslog Server to see if it catches something.
  16. If BIOS can't see disks Unraid can't Try reseating controller, checking all connections, whatever. No doubt your data is fine you just need to resolve your hardware issue.

  18. I wouldn't even use the word "added". Rebuild / replace is always to the same slot, adding is to a new slot.
  19. If there is a speed problem with the actual disk, and you use the same disk for rebuild, then expect rebuilding to also have a speed problem.
  20. You will always get a parity check after unclean shutdown: Oct 9 09:29:03 192 emhttpd: unclean shutdown detected
