had some External Library that was scaned and all was ok. I relocated the external folder to a different location. immich has moved all the photos from that external folder to trash. which sounds reasonable. i have emptied the trash. after that I updated the new folder location in the administration settings. BUT it does not scan the new folder. it is as if the photos are marked as deleted maybe and no longer allowed to be scanned .. something wrong . what to do ?

Not sure on what to put my money on. have about 1000$ budget per my signature below have Xeon 2xE5-2670 (32thrds) MOBO: Supermicro x9Dai dual CPU board c602 MEM: 64GB (8x8GB) Samsung DDR3 1600 Ecc Reg I need memory more than I need CPU speed. minimum 64GB, even more. running 3 VMs (OSX + WIN11) + Radarr + Sonarr , no games. should I stick to some x10 or x11 XENON supermicro board? find some 2nd hand CPUs and memory or go with some GIGABYTE one CPU board ? Intel AMD ?

Hi Also have the same issue as above. after a day of running and showing progress (finding more than 4000 matches) it just stops and no results are shown. I left it sitting idle , thinking it maybe doing something. but eventually I was just able to push the Scan again and it starts scanning. and the cycle is the same. no results after the scan. any idea? where should I look for the logs?

**SOLVED** PROBLEM: CAN NOT resize the disk (High Sierra APFS) found it in: https://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/309115/increase-size-of-apfs-partion-in-high-sierra?noredirect=1&lq=1 What I did was: 1. download gparted amd64 ISO ( https://gparted.org/download.php ) 2. edit the XML of the VM and add this ISO as a first boot disk. the second priority would be the original OSX disk. 3. change the VM OSX disk in the unraid GUI to the size you want. 4. boot the VM and it should start the gparted. choose the default parameters presented during the start screens. I used the VNC to watch the process. mouse didnt work so used the keyboard keys. 4. Upon launch gparted will say that GPT uses less space then available and suggest to fix - click the fix button; 5. stop the VM 6 change the XML back to have only one OSX disk to boot from. 7. boot to the OSX. 8. using the terminal : diskutil apfs resizeContainer disk1 0 (disk1 is the same as using disk0s2) DONE. PROBLEM: CAN NOT resize the disk (High sierra APFS) changed the disk size in the Unraid VM menu from 50G to 80G run the command inside the OSX terminal : " diskutil apfs resizeContainer disk0s2 0" with no errors the APFS disk size remained the same also run multiple times the shrink command :"diskutil apfs resizeContainer disk0s2 53G" (my disk size is 53.4) and again same command with 0. tried the same with disk1 (its the identifier of the APFS container when mounted) Nothing!!! What is the problem? Guys what are the small numbers on the diagram mean? like I see the 10de:1b81 . is the 1070 . and it has number 4.0 - 4.0 . and 1002:67df is the ATIRX480 and it has 16 - 16. is it the PCI bus speed ? if so, it means the 1070 is connected on a slow slot?

what should I do if I want to backup a shared SMB directory from within a VM ? how do I add it to the source list in the docker installed duplicati ?

What I mean is that the Windows based VMs do shutdown. the Apple OS HighSierra and even before , can not. its not working if I try to stop the VM. the only way is to manually shutdown from within the VM (inside the OSX).

If I understood the comment, than obviously I can use my mobile to scan and I can also connect the printer to my laptop and use OSX built in features for scanner. in my case the printer is shared by the Unraid via the CUPs plugin. so I can print from any computer on the local network. my issue is that it is shared ONLY as a printer and NOT as a scanner. so even if I define it in the OSX VM I have, it doesnt give me the scanner option.

Is there a way to shutdown OSX VMs by the script (or remotely in general)? as far as I know I cant right now. i need to cleanly shutdown manually from within or schedule a shutdown just before the script runs.

CUPS is working well. there is SANE (xsane) . http://xmodulo.com/usb-network-printer-and-scanner-server-debian.html http://www.sane-project.org/ but I am not knowledgeable enough to make it work? can it be added to the CUPS docker ?

in my case it doesn't even upgrade. it went into reboot loop. nothing I choose in the clover boot screen helps. it just reboots wouldn't want to go into reinstall allover again. If anyone has any suggestions how to save the VM ??

I get multiple downloads in Deluge entered by Sonarr and Radarr for the same movie/TV episode obviously from different torrents, but the same. So Deluge is trying to download all of them in parallel. posting here cause I see this both in Radarr and Sonarr so I thought I find here people who use the same setup it seams like Deluge is not updating back to Radarr/Sonarr the status of the download. So they think its not doing anything and they send more torrents.. What did I configure wrong ? where to look ? P.S I also have issue with plugins disabled after Deluge reset . I reinstalled docker image from scratch with all the applications. didnt help.

all the plugins get disabled after restart. reinstalling the docker doesn't help otherwise its working ok thank you very much I have seen some people with the same issue, cant find a solution in the forum.

couldn't find where and how to run the command. but downloaded the latest clover 4425 and it fixed the issues. https://github.com/Dids/clover-builder/releases now in the middle of installation.... update: success!! now everything works. next step is to passthrough RX480 ATI GPU card. should be supported natively. will see... update: success again. the GPU is working out of the box. also the Bluetooth dongle USB. need to buy extension card people where talking about in this forum. I have supermicro x9 board

getting crazy.. made additional attempts (4 of them .....!) every time I delete everything , clean. downloaded latest HighSierra from apple update. created the USB started the VM. Booooo , no disks to load from in the clover loader. followed some advice from web to get the latest apfs.efi driver. no luck. (dont know about HFSPlus.efi ...?) dont see any disk entry . no EFI no HD nothing. the clover starts but cant continue to install. where should I dig ? edit: tried with some other instructions and config files... same result seams it has something to do with the unRaid server. dont know what. reboot doesnt help obviously.

problem with HighSierra install. in the end, after deleting the installation image disk from the xml, when I boot again, the clover boot list is empty. it is as if the EFI partition with the boot setup is only on the installation image file. (when I get it back into the xml, the list returnes) when I mount the EFI partitions , I see the DISK1s1 and DISK0s1 . indeed the DISK 1s1 is the EFI on the main 50g disk. should there be a 3rd on for the APFS container. (which is by the way shows as DISK2 in the DISK util). when I create demi folder on one of the above EFI partitions, it mirrors the action. it is as if its the same EFI partition. tried this 3 times. same shit... any suggestions ? otherwise it boots ok.
