Nur zur Info, djaydev macht keine container mehr und den gibt es auch eigentlich nicht mehr auf DockerHub. Schalt nur bei einem Netzwerkinterface "Netzwerkbrücke aktivieren" an, nicht bei beiden.

Mir stellt sich bei solchen Sachen hald immer auch der Kosten/Nutzen, weil wie der OP oben schreibt möchte er sich evtl sogar eine neue SSD nur für diesen Anwendungszweck anschaffen, das erhöht die Kosten nochmal und auch den Aufwand der betrieben werden muss mit User Skripten usw. Ich kann hier nur für mich sprechen und wenn es so ist wie bei mir das die Platte bzw. Platten, meistens simultan maximal nur zwei, nur am Abend und am Wochende mal anspringt und für ein paar Stunden läuft weiß ich nicht ob sich das rentieren würde das ich mir eine extra Platte für diesen Zweck einbaue und das die Platte dann nicht für 1,5 Std läuft sonder nur für 15 Minuten.

Das ist leider teilweise Irrglaube, im Idle eventuell aber bei intensiven Schreib-/Lesevorgängen schießt du schnell mal über dem Verbrauch einer HDD hinaus, hier bist du wenn alles achief läuft gleich mal auf ca 15W. Dazu gibt es eine studie von Facebook und von irgendeiner Uni, kann mich aber nicht mehr erinnern welche das war. Welche SSDs hast du den jetzt verbaut, das kann auch eine ander Ursache haben, hatte ich früher auch.

Du musst gar nichts machen, das ist eben das schöne, ich habe bei mir schon 3 mal Hardware getauscht ohne irgendwelche sachen zu Konfigurieren oder umzustellen (außer im BIOS). Einfach: Altes Motherboard, CPU, RAM raus, neues Motherboard, CPU, RAM rein, Festplatten anstöpseln, USB Stick anstöpseln, im BIOS USB Boot und ggf. VT-d aktivieren, Booten, fertig. Siehe auch dieser Thread: Ja Kommt auf die Plugins an, normalerweise am Stick. Teils in einem Image oder Pfad auf den Platten und teilweise die Konfiguration auf dem Stick. Siehe Docker.

Hierüber kann man diskutieren... zu a) für mich Kontraproduktiv, stell dir nur mal vor du hast 5 Teilnehmer die eine Serie sehen die 80GB+ hat weil die 10+ Staffeln hat, du befüllst dir so deinen Cache und evtuell haben die die Serie nur mal angefangen um zu sehen wie es ihnen gefällt, das nächste wäre, wie lange behältst du diese Serie auf dem Cache? In diesem, ich nenn es mal worst case szenario, würdest du den Cache, wenn es denn eine SSD ist unnötig abnutzen (vermutlich gleich doppelt weil gespiegelt, wenn nicht gespiegelt riskierst du die ganze Serie zu verlieren wenn ein Ausfall passiert). Ich bin mir eben nicht sicher ob es dann wirklich so viel einspart, wenn ich mir englische Posts durchles die 10+ Benutzer an ihrem Plex Server dran haben, aber naja. zu b) ja interessantes Script aber was meinst du mit kombinieren? Kann könnte das script nicht auch kontraproduktiv sein? Beispiel: Ich lass das script 2 bis 3 mal pro Tag laufen, hab aber 3 VMs die ich ab und an starte, eine zum Arbeiten, eine zum Spielen, was auch immer. Jetzt läuft das script morgens und fetcht alle Dateien wie das script konfiguriert wurde, dann geht alles in den spindown, danach starte ich mein 1. VM (Arbeit) und beende diese wieder und dadurch wurde mir auch ein Teil der gefetchten Videoteile aus dem RAM gelöscht, jetzt läuft das Script mittags wieder und fetcht mir die Teile der fehlenden wieder in den RAM (weil diese ja teilweise gelöscht wurden weil die VM den RAM belegt hat wo teile der prefetched Videodateien waren), verursacht das nicht wieder einen Spinup der Platten? Bzw. was passiert wenn das Script 3 mal täglich läuft hab ich dann 3x täglich einen Spinup der Platten oder? Ich will nix schlecht machen, ich denk nur von der anderen Seite.

Dies sehe ich eher als verschlechterung an, nim zB jemand her der sich gerne serien ansieht. Wenn du es so einstellst wie du beschreibst und du hast beispielsweis einen spinndown von 15minuten dann hast du bei jeder folge wieder einen spinup der festplatte, das verbraucht wieder energie (erzeugt auch prozessorlast beim kopieren) und du nutzt statt einer festplatten gleich zwei ab. Wo siehst du dir hier den vorteil oder warum möchtest du die datei kopieren?

Auf was ziehst du denn um oder was hast du genau vor? Das schöne an unRAID ist das wenn du beispielsweise Motherboard und CPU tauscht musst du nur altes raus, neues rein, dein BIOS für den USB Boot konfigurieren und evtl noch sachen wegen den VMs einstellen und das sollte es gewesen sein, dann ist dein System wieder komplett wie vorher Plugins, Docker usw. Docker natürlich nur wenn du auch wieder die Platten anschließt die vorher dran waren. Sent from my C64

Warte, neue Hardware oder neuen USB Stick? Wenn du auf neue hardeare umziehst einfach den Stick an der neuen Hardware anschließen oder willst du einfach nur den Stick tauschen? Vergiss nicht ein tausch des Sticks bzw. Ersatz deiner Lizenz ist prinzipiell nur einmal jährlich möglich. Sent from my C64

Why would you do that? Try it andy you will se what happens... If nothing happens, the next reboot will be funny... Jokes asside, no that is not possible currently, you also will have no benefit if you format it in ZFS, or what do you think would be the benefit? ZFS won't be quicker than with XFS because the Parity data is always calculated. It will always prompt you that one disk is not formated in the right filesystem. Why don't you create a zpool outside from the array/cache like most people do it including myself. I have one drive as a cache installed and the zpool holds my Docker path (I'm not using a image), my appdata folder, libvirt.img and so on and it works really nice on RC2.

Have you validated that the Nvidia Driver is installed? This is a question for the Nvidia Driver support thread. Remove the Nvidia Driver plugin Upgrade to RC2 again Download the Nvidia Driver again I think that something went wrong with the download from the Nvidia Driver package and that's why it doesn't work. No problem here on RC2 with the Nvidia Driver.

I think I don't understand what you mean by that. Do you want to use it at the same time in a VM and in a container, if yes this is not possible since if you hand it over to a VM the VM has full access and control over the card and is basically not available on the host, so to speak unRAID. Anyways it is possible that you use it in a container when the VM is turned off but very bad things can happen when you turn on a VM while it is used in a container or a VM is using the card and a container wants to use the cards. VM crashes, Docker crashes and even what's more likely to happen is that the server entirely locks up. That's why I don't recommending using one card for VM and Docker. There is nothing I can do about that since this is a limitation of the hardware/software and not the drivers or the plugin itself.

Stimmt die Uhrzeit denn in unRAID? Öffne einfach mal ein Terminal von unRAID selbst und gib: date ein. Wenn das nicht stimmt Array stoppen und dann in den Settings bei Date and Time die Zeitzone umstellen. Welche Container sind es denn, manche benutzen auch UTC als Zeit fürs Log.

Ich hab jetzt meine Docker images drauf (ich verwende Docker pfad und kein image), dann appdata, libvirt usw. was du normalerweise auf Cache Only oder Prefer stehen hast.

Aber is kein richtiger Cache bzw. kannst den nicht als Cache benutzen der Daten rüber schaufelt aufs Array aber dafür für alles andere und das ding ist richtig schnell...
