What are your temps like?

Set it back to on demand. Performance on my 2700x would make it do some funny things. Also make sure that turbo boost is enabled in the tips and tweaks plugin. What version of unRAID are you on?

Take one of the usb controllers you are using on bus 0x00 and swap it with the audio device. usb controllers do not really need to be on the 0x00 bus. I passthrough 2 usb controllers and none of them are on 0x00. -

Just emulate using Penryn or something else, I use Skylake-Client just because i like to try things. Makes no performance difference even using the AMD patches in your config for the VM. -

You can do it in your xml by making sure the bus it's on is 00. ex.. domain='0x0000' bus='0x00' slot='0x08' function='0x0'/> -

Yeah they fixed it maybe a day later but beta 7 added a lot of stuff under the hood that maybe added to the issues now. Also no full install can be pulled for beta 7 or beta 8. Last one was available for beta 6. -

Something was added with beta 7 that messed up something along the way though because it broke AMD support entirly where new patches were needed to even install beta 7(bare metal). Secure boot is set as disabled for me though as any sane person should have it set right now. -

I was able to but you are not alone on this. On the AMD hackintosh discord a lot of people are having issues with updating to beta. Heard a couple different reasons why it may not update. One was a broken seal on the main partition and the second theory was something to do with the secure boot support added to opencore. I updated with no issues...that's for beta 7 and beta 8. -

** Hackintosh ** Tips to make a bare metal MacOS

I keep different VM templates for the same VMs. So i have a Big Sir VM that uses VNC and GPU but they share the same vdisk. -

david279 replied to Leoyzen's topic in VM Engine (KVM)
I always start my Mac OS VMs using VNC then i add a second Mac OS VM using the GPU. That way i can go back and forth and test things. I use a efi thats somewhat based on some of the info gathered here but i do all the updating myself. Reading the differences files and making the changes as updates are released. I'm on Big Sur right now using my RX 570, motherboard audio and i have a wifi card passedthrough. -

I have my kernel boot parameter set like this append pcie_acs_override=downstream,multifunction pcie_aspm=off kvm.ignore_msrs=1 vfio-pci.ids=1002:67df,1002:aaf0,1b21:1242,1b21:1343,8086:10bc initrd=/bzroot The vfio devices that start with 1002 is my GPU. I have a main NVIDIA GPU i use for transcoding so i do not need to dump the bios for it to work. And ACS override is enable with some extra parameters.
