i used the mc to look in the /tmp didnt see much except the notifications has a lot of notifications but thats about it.. could it be that? i didnt see much in there in notifications/archive

ah is there a way to look? so is the rootfs saying the 91% is the 2gb of ram. is that what it basiclly saying would it be also from running Rsync from the other computers increasing the ram? and is there a way to see in the tmp folder what is taking up the most of the ram? i did turn off krusadader went from 66 to 63% but is there a way to look in the tmp folder whats taking up the ram? or what not

i hardly use Krusader its there because of the graphical user interface. drag and drop ive done the MC but for me it brings me back to 90s of using PC Anywhere and using a brooklyn bridge cable at the time. and ive upgraded from DOS days lol but no the Server sits there idle.. all the server does is recieve files either through \\ in the file browswer or use Rsync to transfer files from my main servers to copy files to this server. other then that it does nothing but sit and wait basiclly Archive server it gets updated once a day but if files dont changed nothing gets done... hope that helps.. can i not look in the /tmp location for a file thats massive? thats what fix common issues saying? i checked the recyling bin and it said 650gb free of 650gb

on this server just Krusader no other dockers installed its basiclly a backup archive server i have setup right now its uptime is 112 days

hi i on my one unraid server i got the error under Fix common issues Rootfs file is getting full (currently 91 % used) Possibly an application is storing excessive amount of data in /tmp. well you know last week MS released major bug in Windows 10 that will cripple your system but you know security experts say dont use your desktop PC for banking especially when you got family that use the same computer and install stuff so i only thought maybe a VM be better but i guess not if you get a virus on windows then it will see ur banking info on the VM.. so i told her just use the raspberry Pi. just swap out the sim card.. as her laptop is older and MS doesnt support Windows 7 anymore for security etc.. besides my sister is worried since she has a bunch of bitcoin.. and just wants to be extra secure... but i hear ya... least windows is better then it was especially in the virus scanner.. but they dont make a windows fixer to find whats broken or a tweaker like Norton offers etc

what i wished was the backup of the flash with this app would also do not on the array so i could point my 5 Unraids to 1 server on the network.. and then it replicates to 4 other servers as uploading to the internet cloud style only works for internet.. or an option where it saves to the Array.. Plus it saves to \\mainserver\backup files\Unraid #4 so it will create on the array a backup but ontop of it if it can Reach manin Server it places\Flash into as the one from Unraid coming out sounds like just works for internet but id like to see if Unraid 3 backss up it backs up to /user/backup files/Flash /user/backup files/appdata /user/backup files/libvirt but it also then same Time would backup to \\mainServer\Backupfiles\Unraid Backups\unraid3\Flash \\mainServer\Backupfiles\Unraid Backups\unraid3\appdata \\mainServer\Backupfiles\Unraid Backups\unraid3\libvirt rightr now i starting to do this with rsync and cron .. but be nice it automanticlly does this as soon as its backuping up it contacts the main server to back up if it can reach that computer at the time just a suggestion

so i noticed i didnt have the backup appdata for my Backup server.. so i set it up.. createed the folders.. once you hit the Backup Now thats when it messes up the Folder.. must be because its the Flash Drive so is it possible then 3 possble array corruptions? but least i gonna make it now that all my unraids will backup the Flash drives to my main Server.. and then to each of my 5 unraids so i have redundant backups

i noticed the Backup of flash i didnt know about till after i rebooted my sisters unraid where i posted a different thread for help... but i do like the automatic Flash backup. i set up Flash backup then set rysnc to transfer me her 2nd unraid to mine.. so i have copy of her unraid flash and the libirt etc as for the blank its and the 69 year is on all my unraids... yesterday i setup appback up on my sisters other unraid so it seems it automaticlly creates it 69 on everything.. so the pic is just a newly setup Appdata backup i spoke with unraid.. and they told me a cloud based.. but told them i hope also still can send to one of my Unraid Servers as a cloud based server to send to my few unraids to back it up.. and i mentioned like windows be nice when Unraid pops up with that Fatal USB drive failure like windows does a Windows Dump be nice unraid automaticlly dump the usb configs... as a usb backup only as good from the last backup but if u done 100 changes since a backup u loose all those..... so i hoping it still automatic that it sends over the network or to the array and uploads to (cloud) to my unraid.. since really cloud based means different platforums contacting the same server.. so ur uploading to 1 server in the end.. so hopefully that be to my unraids and even when there is no internet.. if not the the flash update shouldnt get depreciated... as i just got it setup that least my sisters is rysnc over to mine.. i keep a OpenVPN connection to her house 24/7 even on slow internet connection but easier to remote administrate her uunraids but thats how i found the Fatal error of the Flash is there a way to get notification if there is a Fatal USB error to email me? i have tried 2019 the notification for the email section but it never emailed daily my array status to my hot mail account.. so i gave up on that and i wish it would send me a text message but i think i tried and it didnt work .. so be nice if there is a USB Fatal error.. id get a text saying USB Fatal Error do not reboot the unraid just backup flash... as text be nice

also is the dangling images script id is depreciated? it doesnt work .. i tried different wayts #docker rmi $(docker images --quiet --filter "dangling=true") #docker rmi $(docker images -q -f dangling=true) docker rmi $(docker images -f dangling=true -q) if you run the command line docker rmi --help there is no -q -f or dangling as options so is that script depreciated

how do you organize the Scripts i tried renaming so the Scripts would resort alphabetical as i got 20 scripts i trying to clean up but i want to sort them like group them (computer1) does that script (computer1) does this script (computer 2 does this script) (computer 3) or is there a text file named "order" that shows the order of scripts so i can manually move them around to organize the scripts properly group them and how do you get it when you Change the user script name.. that it will change the actual File name too.. it doesnt do that.. it keeps the old script name also be nice to sort by Custom, Daily, Monthly and also sort by Custom + File name Daily + Filename Monthy + Filename or have Breaks ------------------- between sets Daily script 1 script 2 ------------------------ Monthly script 3 script 4 -------------------------------- Daily script 5 script 6

my sister had a recent flash drive failure and i learning to get a new flash. as i never had a failure so i new but i noticed i set folders with the plugiin here to set the destination /backup files/appdata it shows up as not a real folder.. there is no stamp date and in krusader it shows up folder created by appdata backup was made in 1969 so i curious is flash drive really backed up as there is no type why is it like that? i just wanna make sure its is really backed up ... if its nothing then no big deal i just curious i just made sure all the unraids i have have the appdata plugin and backed up but they all show no date etc

found the link to replace the keys i will have to figure out how the drives will go back as no backup least maybe there is an auto backup as i guess usb cant be fixed my question is is there a way to have unraid backup the flash to another unraid (mine) as i keep it backuped and then i can restore it.. but i know the Backup appdata flash but i dont know if it can backup remotely and is there a way to you know if you have a issue u want diagnositcs.. you have to do it before a reboot is there no way to get unraid to perserve that log file so unraid saves the last 4 reboot logs so you can reboot and then choose log file and give the anoyomous download for the group.. it be nice for the last 4.. but i guess not at this time... or if USB has a Fatal error. while running Unraid automaticlly backups the current state of unraid... as if u were doing anything since a backup its no good.. because ur not backing up the flash every 5 min if you do an install of a docker or write a file to the flash but what can ya do.. guess i need to make sure better backups.. now to try to fix it

well i mean security experts say dont use your personal computer for banking.. only have a computer that has nothing installed on it. just plain windows well like Microsoft just released that there is a bug in windows that will cripple your computer with a 90s virus.. and you hear time to time dont use your desktop but you never know if her Windows PC gets a virus and then access's banking issues in the VM is her key strokes etc compromised.. but i guess you guys answered it VM is compromised if desktop is compromised.. as she does banking credit bills crypto currency stuff.. and always bugs in windows like releases that delete your documents windows bug.. so i guess ill just make her raspberry pi then since it be secure no day to day use. thanks i wasnt 100% figured id ask 🙂

hi i have question my sister wants to do secure banking.. and with virus etc in windows i thought either a Rasperry pi and use it as a desktop ... or run VM on unraid running ubuntu going through windows.. is it safe to do banking on windows through a VM through the Qemm.. or is it still unsecure.. and u want just a dedicated computer.. i figure i ask since i got unraid server running differnet VMs and figured why not but i thinking if she did get a virus etc it catch the key strokes.. or like vulnablyities Windows has that caues issues... so any input be good.. but im guessing ur gonna say VM still unsecure and buy a raspberry pi and do a desktop that way

my sisters Unraid had a USB Fatal error.. Dockers went down first.. and Starting services flashing.. she rebooted it.. but never came back up.. shoved the usb in the other unraid server.. and u can see its there but doesnt Say Data Traveler the 256 one is built in hard drive on the motherboard for Windows 2003 server headless install. but hte USB is below it. can it be fixed? or if not whats the procedure to get a new key or what not as i never done that.. do i need to provide the Serial on the usb key as i need magnify glass.. as i have multiple unraids under my name i purchased

ya i never found an answer i tried.. in the end what i did was as i only really listen to talk radio station run VM of ubuntu and had to get a USB audio card.. as the onboard is guess disabled or didnt work in the VMs i couldnt pass it and then play a Website i listen to talk radio and then i had second setup to get the MPD to work was use a raspberry Pi.. i wanted it just in Docker of unraid since its included but i couldnt so had to go the usb card and ubuntu route.. its not the way i wanted but works for now.. unless i can run jukebox server on ubuntu which i actually never tried i should try that not sure how to run it i so used to just dockers and it works lol

there is no fix for current ver of Unraid.. there was a driver being built for the X570s and some other boards on github.. and possibly its working in the next beta version.. but current stable version is not supported.. hopefully next stable release it be fixed

@johnwhicker how well is it working do you have a link i could try installing it.. i trying vm of ubunutu... running qeum but its not working like the setup form the 1 website.. 1 ist very slow.. 2nd it you cant install it askes for a cdrom and if you load the defaults the iso of raspberry doesnt save so each time u reboot its a fresh copy again so been having issues go figure lol

hi not sure if SpaceinvadeOne replies to emails or checks his guide i followed his video on getting a Raspberry Pi VM running under Unraid under Fedora.. video from 2016 but since then its been depreciated not sure what version of Fedora but i running Fedora 33 ... i had to tweak his code and i had to change from redir to netdev but i having issues... has anyone else running a RPI VM under fedora.. or possibly a better setup? i wrote in his Video guide but i dont know if anyone checks it or what not so i figured make a new heading others could see and maybe help

@SpaceInvaderOne so i tried your video and since its been deprecated i tried fixing it but i cant get it to work really i fixed the setup code your video and the rpi zip were 2 different.. so i edited the setup file to work . not big deal i got the to the part for the startssh.. but since redir has be depreciated and replaced with netdev i been having issues trying to update it so i can get Raspberry running and then upgraded to the latest version im also r unning Fedora 33 would you happen to know the latest code to alter it so she will run here is screen shot what i got after the change i had to do for redir.. i did screen shot i having issues trying to get Copy and paste to work from the unraid QEMU window to windows and vice versa... also how do you manage to get the when you do run "./start" and Rpi boots up to desktop how do you get the emulate mouse and my real mouse to sync as they both out of sync by 1-2 inches so u have to offset your clicks

@SpaceInvaderOne has there been any developments to getting Raspberry Pi VM to run as a VM without the need of Ubuntu fedora etc i trying to do ubunutu 20. >>vm of Raspberry Pi >>> USB MODEM(DialUP) so i can run a caller ID so my mother with getting older harder to see so trying to get Caller ID program i using on a Pi to work on unraid so my Server can handle it.. i took apart my current Pi RetroPi to get .. i did try img'ing my SD card then coverted to qcow2 and ran it in the Seabios and the other.. neither worked.. i tried to install qeum on ubuntu 20 but its having issues.. so i downloading Fedora since you like it.. since the steps probably work better.. but i just curious if any updates since its been 4 yrs since you made video and if there has been any developements or still need to do your work around
