what does this error mean when I trying to move files off a NTFS unassigned drive in krusader not bin krusader

ah ok well that sucks right.. now the unmask is that the same as the pgid and pid? and or do you have to edit the settings.json? and isn there just a broad template always give full access? or is that pgid pid key 5 key6 always learning still not smart enough at linux thats for sure but ya this morning it was i guess folder issue it didnt like any files so it was like "downloads" folder was read only it seemed but who knows.. but ill do that ill post ahead of time.. and then the weird music software crashing on me technology is great till it breaks then you curse at it lol

and when i mentioned i had music issues.. i a DJ and have my music on the array and i play directly from there.. but had 2 really messed up crashes and then this morning i couldnt write to the array least the Downloads... so i was thinking maybe whole array was a read only or parts i have no idea but my luck it wont show any errors in diagnostics as i didnt do it prior to a reboot and then ran new persmissions new docker tools

I use transmission and deluge but had them off.. well transmission was in pause mode. but those 2 they download to a temp share on the array for incomplete and then moves to a "downloads\transmission complete" and a "downloads\deluge complete" folder i was thinking going to use an unassigned drive for downloading.. and then when complete moves to the array? not sure which is better so windows be "downloads\windows download" sisters stuff "downloads\sisters stuff"

it was all files at least my download.. i had issues last night with my music folder music was glitching or something but this morning my sister sent me some of her home videos in moi format so i ran the mkvtool i normally convert to mkv and it wasnt allowing it.. it was giving errors couldnt write new file.. but if i coped the files to windows to my regular ntfs and ran mktool had no issues.. and then i wasnt able to create a directory forgot the error now.. but once i ran the docker safe.. and ran the mkvtool on my sisters video files it was able to write to the directory on the array.. i use the "downloads" share for all downloads..

guess i should done diagnostic before i ran the docker safe and new permissions i bet?? but here it is after i ran those tower-diagnostics-20201025-0953.zip

i use a share for all my downloads from windows to download to backups etc and i wasnt able to to make directories etc.. also had a glitch last night audio files play back.. so today i couldnt write.. its likes share has gone read only.. a reboot didnt help... but i did run the docker safe and seems to fixed it.. also i running the new permissions as i not sure realyl which one to run to give all access to all the files.. wouldnt even know how u could setup everyhting is read only unless a certain account logs in an then its full access read write.. but is it good to have a daily permission fix on entire array.. what could be causing this issue... what is some good practices to fix or keep this from happening persmissions gone crazy i guess.. as i just use to windows and its always full access unless i set it to read only

@limetech ah ok i was just experimenting.. trying to see how this worked.. since i saw the spaceinvader video.. so i wasnt trying to get anything specific just wanted to see if it worked.. and maybe fixed audio issues is that genral issue for VM softwars hosts like a windows or a vmware esxi compared to you installing the OS directly to the computer without a vm hosting software like unraid. i guess no real good fix for it.. i even tried the Linus tech tips an space invader to do 2 computers 1 cpu but didnt like it also running AMD and i dunno why AMD has issues but apparently Intel doesnt.. but i gave up playing with it.. maybe next release of unraid will have a fix.. i even asked maybe in the future requests forum if they could make sound card drivers so sounds could work directly but you mentioned its problematic.. so maybe no fix ... but ill keep trying other vm fixes instead i appreciate the help 🙂 always learning something new every day

ok she booted back up.. and i dunno why it didnt work.. as i selected a usb controller that didnt have the Unraid boot drive on it.. and it doesnt show up in the PCI thing in bottom of the VMS... but least i back up and running just cant get the darn sound to work

@limetech ah ya i did that wouldnt work i deleted the vifio.pci folder didnt work when i put the usb back in the computer ... the config/vfio.cfg was back and a bak file so now i trying again i deleted vfio-pci.cfg.bak .cfg .plg hoping it works.. as this plugin didnt work for me.. as i trying to get Unraid to detect the Onbooard audio which it doesnt.. and in Ubuntu VM i added a USB Soundcard but its sounding funny.. and it cant detect the onboard audio gues there is no real good work around passing through the onboard audio.. i really was hoping i could pass through the onboard audio to Dockers like Airsonic.. but couldnt.. and i trying to get the Audio to work in a Ubuntu.. but it cant detect the onboard.. and a USB it squeals etc.. there is a fix for Windows but not for ubuntu... but hopefully it boot up..

how you go back to last good configuration

i tried selecting my onboard soundcard to attach to a ubuntu VM didnt work so i also added a USB controller.. and saved and rebooted.. now unraid is bricked wont boot up.. how do i undue it my unraid is headless... so i have the unraid usb in my desktop what do i do to edit and go back... since this doesnt work for onboard audio and doesnt fix USB audio in a VM the scretching computer sounds

try my other option i do.. i set the share to enable under shares.. see if that works

so i tested just now.. u5 pic is mounted. u6 unmounted u7 is remounted all happned in a second;,,, try that share button see if that fixeds it for you.. or give unraid a reboot then re try what i did

also what i have too is under shares.. my Drive is shared i set it.. maybe thats the issue works for me try setting it to share.. and then unplug or unmount it wont be instant i noticed takes a moment so wait 10 -20 seconds and it should work

hmm ya i used to get that too.. and is the unassigned drive set to slave read write?

my bad its because i remember from the this krusader or other dockers its USER ID and Group ID i set them to 0 try that... sorry about that i wasnt looking at my screen i just did from remembering.. i not best at this unraid i only been using a couple years now so no expert here

@drichard i have had similar with 6TB and bigger drives my resolved issue for now was 1. for this Restart the docker each time 2.. use the other Krusader i found this one had issues.. but the "Krusader" docker one and set the PUID the other P to 0 the the key 5 6 and that has seemed to to fix the issues your having give it a try see what happens if it works.. but i fell in same issue and that worked for me it was frustrating

oh ic thats why you guys commented in 2016 that its a pain.. you think in 4 yrs of your guys post they would have fixed that issue.. thats a pain.. you think you could just install apt get install soundcard something like that as trying to do VMS like ubunutu has sound card drivers so they install be nice to see unraid install them too but i having issues running VM of ubuntu and MPD sonna isnt working right and it just crashes and i running latest ubunut and i didnt see a airsonic to run under ubunutu and neither run under windows... as i have a couple windows server vms running.. and not all streaming servers stream to the local computer.. they only stream to other devices which is a pain in the ass... and i dunno if i can run Raspberry pi VM under unraid i asked in the future features maybe they could add sound card drivers to unraid for there next release whenever that is

the unraid forum has mixed signals.. one person says there are no sound card drivers, another unraid user says there are unraid sound card drivers but u need to do work for it.. it be nice to have sound card drivers.. as i dont see what people are writting apps for unraid in the community app to use unraids onboard sound. but cant.. so i dunno why people write apps for unraid if you cant use it.. whats the point.. non the less it be nice.. as right now there is no easily work around using VMs to get sound card to work like running MPD under ubuntu is showing to be impossible.. but i do like docker as you dont need a VM and a jukebox app but that it can take the audio and go directly to the docker.. is just a request.. dont expect nothing to come of it.. i just keep trying different vms and different servers but 0 luck to work so far

oh and ya i seen your reply in email not notifications.. but your replying was out of order of my questions i had and meaning,, your comment was different and my comment on here was a question about drivers and you replied later then my question here so i can see why you think i all over when i wasnt had 4 different/semi similar questions 4 different scenerios

sorry wasnt reddit article it was a unraid article im guessing some other OS as a vm would solve this issue.. and if so what OS and how come unraid has no soundcard pass through to dockers?

@trurl well from reddit users unraid has sound card drivers but never was resolved.. well then how do i do a windows vm of daapd as i googled daapd and there is now windows server for it just a windows client.... as i need it to be controlled by the cell phone like mpd client app for cell

@trurl well i havent gotten a reply from you today. no one has only reply i gotten was from saarg in airsonic fourm that mentioned i need unraid sound card drivers and thats why i wrote i had another post. well why would i want a VM when your CA apps of daapd and airsonic stream directly to unraids soundcard or least supposed to... plus there are no windows server client apps they all seem to stream to a device not direct to the server

i had another post.. but getting a reply by someone else mentioned i need Soundcard drivers for unraid.. i googled and there is no real support how do you Install Docker Soundcard Drivers so like airsonic or daapd will work.. as it wont pass through the audio straight to the soundcard.. so i can hook unraid to a amplifier and control audio from my cell phone.. will newest version of unraid have soundcard drivers installed ? how do you install it as google had no support
