  1. This is great, thanks so much!
  2. Thanks, if possible, I'd like what is possible with the schedule and script combo. Move nightly everything, but once an hour (or whatever schedule), move files if it's hit a threshold. For when you are copying larger amounts and it would get too full to wait for the nightly move (for example). Unless I interpret it wrong, the plugin threshold option will not ever move if there is usage below the threshold. Cheers!
  3. If I don't use the mover, no issues. If I copy a few files when set to use the cache, then invoke the mover, there are errors. Seems to happen every time. htop usually shows 6-7GB/32B available mem. Even while the log is filling up with the errors right now it's showing 8GB free (I think that's what htop infers). tower-diagnostics-20180107-2253.zip tower-diagnostics-20180112-1724.zip
  4. Ya, I also get that message. Is this not at the latest version from June?
  5. Ah thanks, totally didn't remember the advanced settings. I was wondering where those were. Simple and boots up now of course. Thanks so much!
  6. I would like to create a VM using an existing VMDK file. I did this on an earlier version, but can't get it to work now, it was a while ago and I forget what I did. I grabbed the vmdk from http://docs.librenms.org/Installation/Ubuntu-image/ When I boot it up I get a "Boot Failed. EFI Misc Device" message. What else do I need to do?
  7. I'm not sure I'll even get that far. It's too slow! I would like to think I could get ~50Mbps upload based on some speed tests I've run to Amazon. However it's only about 20Mbps or so right now. Maybe it's encrypting files as uploads completed instead of keeping a buffer going of files ready to upload? Rclone is supposed to work well, might need to look into that. Would like a nice tool do it for me though.
  8. Really good timing, I *just* searched for this. Really thinking I'll backup my unraid box to Amazon Drive. $60/year, hard to beat that.
  9. Feature request: I'd like to assign non array devices to slots. I have a couple drives installed in trays which show up in the system, but I don't have them assigned to the array, but I'd still like to track where they are.
  10. What is the power usage like on an X99 E5-V3 setup like that? How many drives?
  11. 8TB parity drives, and the other 12 add up to 42TB. I have a couple more 4TB drives to add, so that would be 16. The number of drives shouldn't affect the motherboard purchase that much, I don't want to get off topic.
  12. I don't need that many right now, no. I'm very likely going to order a norco 4224 case as my current one is a PITA for changing/adding drives having no hot swap or cages. Currently I have 14 array devices + 2 cache. Either way, it's not super important as the 2 HBAs can support 24 drives.
  13. So I'm having a hard time deciding. I doubt I'll be putting any GPU in the system at all since this will just sit in my basement and not run a VM as a PC for anything. Having said that, I will run 2 HBA cards and want to make sure I can eventually support 24 array drives (which I can with the 2 HBA and expanders without saturating the port speeds I think). Onboard sata will likely just be for cache, or maybe 1 reverse breakout sas to a backplane. So, I think my pcie lane requirements are pretty low, just two x8 cards. I'm currently only using one nic, but if I had 2 I could probably bond them (just picked up a cheap 5 port managed switch). I don't really ever see needing 10G. If I need more network ports I could add in a card. This is why what to get is so hard, because there are so many choices since my requirements are easy to full fill. X99 and an hexa core cpu would be good to support many dockers and emby transcoding streams, however I assume they use more power than a 4 core kaby/skylake setup. X99 I think has more pcie lanes, but again, not running multiple GPUs, just the HBA cards so not really a concern? Any suggestions anyone can offer?
  14. This is a nice board, just a bit worried about it being older. Only uses DDR3 for example, was thinking I'd like DDR4 to be more current. Also some of the sata parts are only 3G which...probably not a huge deal.
  15. I currently have an old i7-980X and an ASUS Sabertooth X58 board. This combo is very picky with ram, each reboot is 3x power on/off while it configures or something. The CPU is a bit power hungry and overall I need better expansion (more stata 6gb ports) and better power efficiency. I'm having a tough time deciding between an X99 board with a 2011-v3 CPU or a Skylake 1151 build. I was originally dead set on wanting an IPMI capable board but, I don't often *need* to do any bios or otherwise investigation remotely. I run several dockers, sabnzbd, nzb-hydra, emby, znc, rutorrent, deluge, a LibreNMS VM and I'd like to run a couple other VMs as well. I have 16 drives in play now, with another 3 pre-cleared, 2 of which will for sure be added asap. I have two HBA cards but still having 10 onboard sata instead of 6 or 8 would be a plus. I don't really have a budget, but I need to support those dockers, a couple VMs, and a couple emby transcoding streams. Please help me come up with something to buy, I've been agonizing over this too long. Also I need to get something that newegg.ca carries in stock. Cheers
  16. On mine the buttons are reversed, would that have made a difference?
  17. Pretty sure that you hit OK instead of cancel. Even if I did, there was nothing to restore, it shouldn't have gone forward and started deleting all my docker data for which there was no backups.
  18. I've just had a really bad failure with this plugin. I pressed the restore button (not fully intending to do one) and it prompts to continue or not, good. However I selected no (or cancel, I can't recall the exact working), but I made sure to select to not proceed. It went ahead anyway and started deleting appdata files, after few retries, the abort finally worked. But now it's fucked most of my dockers.
  19. This might help http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=50416.msg485559#msg485559
  20. Been running unRaid for many years and have gone through a few hand me down/re-used setups. I'd like to plan and purchase an upgrade this time. Current setup is... Processor: Intel® Core™ i7 CPU X 980 @ 3.33GHz Motherboard: ASUSTeK Computer INC. - SABERTOOTH X58 Memory: 8 GB (because mobo is picky with ram and I can't be bothered to figure out more for it) Cards: 2 pci-e HBA cards Drives: 12 data drives, 2 parity drives, 2 SSD cache drives VMs: librenms plus I'd like to run another vm or two. Dockers: Emby, sabnzb, znc, rutorrent, deluge, openvpn, and a couple others What I want is an IMPI/KVM capable board, 64GB of ram (min), enough ports for my existing drives plus a few more for expansion with the mobo ports and HBA cards (1 or 2, whatever is needed). I'd prefer it to use less power, currently the mobo/cpu is a bit of a pig, UPS Summary in unRaid usually shows a min of 260W. Also I'm in Canada, so I'd like to source the parts from retailers (online) here, instead of buying out of the USA and dealing with exchange (but eBay has served me well before). So, what are the suggestions? I've seen some interesting Xeon-D boards but also there are a plethora of supermicro 1151 boards and it's a bit overwhelming. I don't have an exact budget, but was thinking around $1k CAD. I do have a case currently but I might like to upgrade that also to something with hot swap (outside of budget). Please help me with this build and suggestions. Thanks!
  21. Can you add these themes in the next build? I added them manually and the light theme is oh so pretty. Thanks https://github.com/exetico/FlatUI
  22. Thanks, it worked for me too. Is this a permanent fix or will a future update to Deluge overwrite the ":12"? Or should we remove ":12" at some point? I assume this was necessary following the upgrade to unRAID 6.2, right? Thanks, John As far as I know it's because an update to deluge is just a shit update and breaks with existing session data. So unless we want to re-add all the torrents, we're stuck on version 12 and it will stay that way unless you change it. edit:typo
  23. I'm also have horrible read speed via a docker reading from a share. Not sure what information I should provide on this to trouble shoot?
