I've tried with the full path but somehow it won't start :-( But with /dev/nvme0n1 it's working. Performance arent so great in the end unfortunately ...do I have to change the <target dev='hdd' bus='sata' /> to bus=scsi or something?

I've now tried following: So putted the nvme0n1 (which is my NVME) directly as a /dev/ inside the config of the VM... VM fired up, and the ISO of windows was able to see the whole disk. I don't know If this is the correct way. I think I have to set something more to get the NVME working correctly tough...

I've tried to bind it as VFIO (see my updated post), but I got an error. I will try to unbind it from VFIO, reboot the server and try through /dev/disk

So I rewatched the video of SpaceInvadersOne: I've made following: Selected my NVME disk and binded it to VFIO : - Select the Nvme disk - at the bottom click on : bind selected to VFIO at Boot , then rebooted the server. - Created a new VM, where I selected the Nvme as a PCI device - Created a new VM , Nvme showed up as PCIE. - When I try to fire up the VM, following error appears:

Hello everyone, I wanted to use my Nvme only for a VM. At the moment the Nvme is an unassigned drive, and I've used it to create the disk of the VM. But this is not a real passtrough - I would like to know how to pass the whole Nvme (to gain the performance peak) to the VM. Thanks a lot in advance.

Found out where the problem was. uncorrectly removed the pool, my bad. I've created another pool, assigned the disk and then started the array. After that I've removed the disk, removed the pool - and now it's working :-)

Hello, I've just updated the thread, I've tried that, formatted the partition as XFS, but still showing up as before. It still create this "nvme" by itself... I think there is somewere (i dont know where), which is still connected with the old ZFS (which is non existing anymore)

Hello Everyone, I'm trying to use my 2TB Nvme as unassigned drive for Vms. It was part of a POOL and also as ZFS shares. I've removed it from everywere, and also done a "preclear"... Problem is, I cannot mount it, format it - or anything else: What I'm missing here? I've also tried to click on the red X, and then formatted the Nvme as XFS... After it was formatted it showed this way (same as before...) Thanks for your support :-)

Hello Everyone, I've a problem configuring my Unraid server to work with the built-in 10G network card. The mainboard is a: Gigabyte GA-7PESH2 The ethernet card is a : Intel Corporation Ethernet Controller 10-Gigabit X540-AT2 So when I connect the ethernet cable to the 10G port on my SFP - it doesn't light up at all. (tried on both ports). Oddly enough - when the server is POWERED OFF, it lights up :-O Anyone had similar issue?

Hello Everyone, It's possible use a single istance of ADGuard Home to cover two distinct network? I've a "Home Network" and an "IOT" Network. At the moment of the config I've configured ADGuard to use the Home Network custom. So for the Home network is working. It's possible to configure it also to serve the IOT Network? Or I need a second instance?

I used rar rc to recompile rar from .rev files, do you know how to do this too? Thanks in advance.

Hello everyone, I'm having an issue installing REDIS. Just tried to add the container, but when I try to start it I get: redis 17:55:46.64 INFO ==> ** Starting Redis setup ** redis 17:55:46.66 INFO ==> Initializing Redis mkdir: cannot create directory '/bitnami/redis/data': Permission denied Is there something to do to give it rights? Hello, I'll try it next month when I have finally vacation and have time. I want a fresh install because I played to much over the years and I want a hardened installation from scratch without loosing the 40/50Tb of data 🙂

I wait for some other comments, but in any case, I think I could (if it's safe) to build another usb-key, and try to run the whole system to see if it boots with the data.

Why the encryption may be a problem? So - of course Dockers&co should be done by scratch (I'm backupping them since day one, so I could restore them without a problem theoretically). But then, only the "order" of the HDD shoudl matter? What problem could I encounter with the encryption? Of course, as a test, I could simply use another USB drive with unraid to test the "new" setup. But I'm really intrested in the "possible problems" with encrypted drives.

Since I've around 40Tb data, I would like to know if it's possible (and how) to do a fresh install without loosing all my data. My array is an encrypted XFS. Hello Everyone, I'm having trouble getting this docker working. I can add EPG&M3U, but then I cannot synch it with Plex. I also see following error: couldn't find handler for /lineup_status.json couldn't find handler for /discover.json I've tried with the image channels and with the image current, both have the same problem apparently. The current version seems to be stabled (with the synch) than the channel one (which has a totally different UI, and it hangs itself after a couple of hours) Anyone experienced the same issue?

I've added (but it's really strange it has to be done in this way the DNS entry of my IOT-Network under the ETH0 Network settings. I've also disabled bridging - since it seems to create problem with MACVLAN. I'll test it for a couple of hours/days to see if it's stable/reliable.

Hello, I have reconfigured it as I firstly made, and now it's working - no clue why it wasn't. I've setup docker to use MacVLans, because otherwise no reservation was possible. Now the problem I'm facing, is that the Home-Assistant container IS indeed in the IOT Network (fix ip, and reacheble), but the container itself, cannot go outside (internet).

Hello Everyone, I've created a VLAN for a couple of my DockerContainers to be able to be in my IOT-Network. Specifically, it was done for Home-Assistant. Now I've put a fixed IP Address for the needed docker. My problem now, is that I have to create reservations, to be sure that the DHCP will not give those addresses away. To do so, I've to put the mac address of the contianers. I saw that all my container have the same MacAddress (specifically the one of my Unraid Server network card). Is this normal ? (I knew that docker will randomize (with incrementation) every MAC Addresses). Also - how can I achive that? Do I have to customize every docker with a "fake static MAC Address" ? Thanks in advance
