  1. Thank you!
  2. 99.9% certain.
  3. Monthly Parity Sync just completed and I've got over 900 sync errors corrected. While I had an unclean shutdown in the month prior, the automatic parity check that followed it completed without error a few weeks ago. Anything in the logs to be concerned about? Thanks so much for any guidance tower-diagnostics-20230102-0813.zip
  4. I currently use a 1TB Samsung 850 PRO cache drive. I’m adding a second Drive to increase cache capacity, but this time it’s a Samsung 850 EVO. Is there a setting available to prioritize use of the PRO drive until it is full and then spillover to the EVO?
  5. BINGO! That's it. I found it by looking into the descriptions. Forgot about the Help button. Thanks! "Pause an array operation (Parity Check, Parity-Sync/Disk Rebuild, disk Clear) if mover is running. These two types of activity adversely affect each other's performance due to contention on the disk drives so it is more efficient to not have them running at the same time."
  6. I have both Mover Tuning and Parity Tuning installed. I have Monthly Parity Checks and Mover scheduled to run at night, but I’d like to go a step further and, when both Mover is running, the Monthly Parity Check pauses… I just can’t get my head around the right combination of settings to make it happen help would be greatly appreciated
  7. Hi Guys, Anything else you'd add to this list of Unraid server-specific steps to prevent playback buffering? - Use a Cache drive - Set Mover to run only during off hours - Set Parity checks to run only during off hours - Use Gigabit connectivity - Isolate Movies and TV shares on their own dedicated hard drives - Use Spin Up Group(s) for Movies and TV shares - Put Movies and TV drives on the same controller
  8. Are you saying that controller induced buffering can't be avoided? Or is there a specific controller that doesn't have the problem? I looked at the controller recommendation thread, but didn't see mentions of this issue, so not sure if the recommended hardware fixes the problem or not
  9. So I've got my Spin Up Groups in place for my Movies and TV shares. Are there any other optimizations I should be putting in place to prevent Kodi from buffering when playing content from my server? I'm on a gigabit network. Throughput is very strong. I have cache settings on my Kodi device. Are there any settings to adjust pertaining to Mover and/or Parity Check?
  10. Seeing some listed as Healthy and others as Error. Ran Long Smart Reports before exporing Diagnostics. Would really appreciate some guidance on which drives should be removed. (I've recently deleted about 100TB, thus the massive drive count/low usage) tower-diagnostics-20221122-1030.zip
  11. So the fix is to set a longer spin delay, ya? Like 4 hours? And then how do I define my "spinup groups"?
  12. thanks! How does spin down delay factor in then?
  13. I understand that there is a correlation between spin up groups and potential buffering in Kodi, but beyond that I'm not sure where to go... what is are the recommended settings for spin up groups, if my goal is to avoid buffering in Kodi with 4K Remuxes?
  14. Nah, I’m using the right devices. ODroid N2, Shield Pro, ATV4K (minus pass through)
  15. Sorry. Hard drives 🙂
  16. Only asking about hardwired. Would Debra potentially be too slow?
  17. I only use Kodi for my personal 4K Remuxes from my Unraid Server. Home network at my old house was Gifabit, but I’d still run into buffering from time to time, despite tons of attempted optimizations via advanced settings. Trying to avoid any buffering this time. Would it be beneficial to jump to 10 Gigabit infrastructure, this time? Playback devices would likely still be gigabit unless I can upgrade Shield Pro or Odroid N2 via USB 2.5-10gig adapter…
  18. When using Mullvad with Wireguard, via Custom VPN option, is it necessary to enable to VPN Killswitch in the Mullvad configurator? Or should I leave that disabled and let the docker/iptables handle the killswitch function?
  19. Hi, I'm running a 2 cycle preclear on a 16TB drive to check for any issues, prior to using outside of Unraid. I'm now thinking 1 cycle will be enough for my needs. Does the Preclear log show that the 1st cycle is successful? Can I cancel the Preclear process, after the 1st cycle is complete and the 2nd cycle pre-read is running?
  20. Already wiped, using CA tools, and reinstalled. Working fine after I did that
  21. Out of the blue, I can no longer access the UI via IP address etc. Just says connecting... and never loads the UI. Clearly I've messed something up somewhere. What's the proper way to remove my existing install, including appdata contents, and start again?
  22. I have them on a local hard drive and tower. I'd like to switch to local machine and GDrive. I'm seeing lots of rclone commands to verify. You're saying none are designed to check integrity against source?
  23. How is that relevant? Data is data. I'd prefer not to have to source it and organize it again, thus the backup/question (:
  24. Hi All, I'm currently coping data from my Unraid server to secure remote (Google Drive) using the command below in my User Scripts: rclone --transfers=32 --checkers=16 --drive-chunk-size=16384k --bwlimit 8M copy /mnt/user/foo/ secure:foo Once the transfer is complete, I plan to delete the source data. With that in mind, what is the best way to verify that everything uploaded correctly, prior to deleting the local data from my Unraid server? I believe Google Drive supports MD5 via rclone, I'm just not sure if there's something I have to specify. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!
  25. Sorry, I meant a different VPN provider that has Netherlands endpoints compatible with your docker? Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
