Not at all. I was looking for guidance on what level of protection I needed to be shopping for in a replacement. I didn't quite understand how a UPS functions and wasn't considering all scenarios. Thanks for breaking it down for me. I've noticed that in order to get more outlets I was ending up around or above 1000VA anyway. I've seen units with 5+5 and 6+4. Hopefully APC makes something with 8+? Otherwise it's a dealbreaker since that is the minimum devices needed to maintain internet/Ooma landline. Although I could get by with a 6+4 if I ditch the WiFi. In all likelihood you're right and I won't find anything consumer grade with more than 6+4. In that case I'll have to use both a new unit and my current BE550G for the lower draw items. Thanks again for all the input!

After 2.5 days My server’s max draw was 164.4 watts. I’ve gone ahead and ordered an APC replacement battery for my BE550G. I need something asap and don’t have the funds to upgrade at the moment. Ideally I’d like to upgrade in the near future. I’ll be looking for a unit with at least 7 battery outlets. This is so I can also run basic internet gear and Ooma for landline after the server shuts down. I’m testing each piece with the meter but estimate about 70 watts for the WiFi & phone. I'm looking for a case upgrade. I currently have 2xNorco SS-500 in a modified old tower. There is no room for more drives or GPU, and cable management is horrible. I have a FD Define R4 available, but unfortunately i lost the upper 5 bay drive cage long ago. I contacted FD and they no longer have any stock of replacements. I also don't know how to go about modifying the R4 to fit the Norcos. that said I'm looking for a new case that meets one of the following criteria: 1) 10+ HDD via stock mounting 2) Easily modified to accommodate 2xNorco SS-500 hot swap bays AND meets both of the below: 3) Price at $150 USD or less (don't know if this is a pipe dream) 4) Vertical tower style (i.e. not a rack mount) Sent from my Pixel 5 using Tapatalk

I'm not sure how to troubleshoot this further. Specifically, if this is a bad HDD, bad controller, bad cable, or simply a bad connection. I will open it up and make sure the cables are all firmly seated, as I did relocate the server about 1.5 months ago. If I determine this needs replaced, is the LSI SAS 9200-8i a solid choice?

Don't know if this change fixed it, but the file has successfully moved into the Array.

Don't know if it's relevant at all, but I just noticed that Disk 3 is formatted XFS, and all my others are Resierfs. Just wanted to point that out. This drive is the latest one installed.

Is there an easy way for me to tell what applications are writing to the docker.img instead of an Array path? Only Disk 3 shows a SMART error on the Dashboard. Notifications seem to be set to DEFAULT for all disks. I did remove it.

I did not have that set. I just set it to 100GB. I checked all disks. That folder exists on another Disk, but containing one of the other movie files. The .MKV that is on Cache is not on an Array disk

I still have the SASLP-MV8 board installed. As for the critical space issue: I have ~2TB left in the array. My cache was almost full yesterday after several large downloads and issued a warning in the UI. That is what prompted me to notice what was remaining on the cache after Mover ran.

This seems to be the case. I've found that the folder exists on Array disc 8, but only the .nfo file is there. Only the .mkv file is in the folder on Cache. How do I correct this?

I think my mover or cache config isn’t correct. I have some large downloads that I’m expecting Mover to transfer to the array. Only some of them moved, despite having manually invoked Mover several times. I am expecting the files in the DownDownDown share to be moved, but some remain. I need to get a replacement UPS. I have only ever configured mine to immediately issue a clean shutdown after more than 5 minutes outage. That said, I think my previous UPS (APC Back-Ups BE550G) is underpowered at only 330watts/550VA. I say this because I just ran NewEgg's psu calculator and it estimates my system draws ~380watts. Does this mean that my BE550G isn't actually protecting my system, or am I not understanding the VA/watts, runtime till shutdown, or other parameters? If that's the case, how do I estimate how much VA/Watts I need out of a UPS? Again I'm just looking for bare minimum protection so my system has time to do a clean shutdown when needed. Any clarification would be appreciated since I'm really confused by all the similar specs out there and varying prices. I'm on a very tight budget and hope to spend the minimum on this (which would be a replacement battery for my current UPS). Thanks in advance!

I have a FD Define R4 sitting around and am wondering if I can easily install my 2 Norco SS-500s in it after removing the stock bays. I thought I’d ask here if anyone has done this already before disassembling my current build to get one of the Norcos out just to test. If it will require any significant modifications to the R4 hen I’m probably not gonna do it right now.
