Sirkyle
When booting up the server I start with no issues, able to mount all disks, no errors. However all my user shares have disappeared. Stopping the Array, and then starting the array, will enable my user shares however the cache drive returns as No File format. Ive tried swapping cables and sata ports, but no luck. Any suggestions? running 6.8.3 tower-diagnostics-20210204-0837.zip Edited February 4, 2021 by Sirkyle Zip diagnostics Quote Link to comment

Sirkyle
When I rebooted the server the drive wouldn't even show up anymore. Went ahead and just replaced the drive. Since it was Cache, no big deal. Things running smoother now. thanks for the help 1 Quote Link to comment
Sirkyle
So a few days later I wake to see my new cache drive is back offline, user shares and docker are gone, im gonna mess with the cords in the back, but in the meantime here are a fresh set of diagnostics before the reboot, anything seem amiss? tower-diagnostics-20210207-1117.zip Quote Link to comment
itimpi
There are multiple drives (ata9-ata12) reporting problems so probably controller related. Quote Link to comment
Sirkyle
When I rebooted, everything is showing green but the cache drive is missing. Ill pull it and check the controller cards Quote Link to comment

Sirkyle
So pulled my case, vacuumed out the dust, unplugged and checked my breakout cables, plugged it all back in, started it up. Cache showed as unassigned, so put in in the slot and started the server. Ran quick smart tests on the cache and Drive 9, both passed. Here are diagnostics currently tower-diagnostics-20210207-1211.zip Quote Link to comment
trurl
cache is unmountable, but diagnostics says it is XFS. Is that correct? https://wiki.unraid.net/Check_Disk_Filesystems#Checking_and_fixing_drives_in_the_webGui Quote Link to comment
Sirkyle
Correct. I haven't attempted a format on the cache, but considering I just started fresh a few days ago I don't mind attempting to if I need. Quote Link to comment

Sirkyle
Went ahead and tried to run the repair on telnet. Phase 1 said bad primary superblock, unable to verify secondary and just kept going and going and going. Fresh diagnostics here tower-diagnostics-20210207-1712.zip Quote Link to comment

Did you remember to include the partition number (e.g. something like /dev/sdX1) if using that form of device name. Quote Link to comment
Sirkyle
I ran xfs_repair -v /dev/sdj I added a 1 to it just now and it ran this time. Attached a screenshot Quote Link to comment
trurl
If you start the array in normal mode now is cache mounted? Did it put anything in lost+found? Quote Link to comment
Sirkyle
Array started alright. Ill have to locate the lost and found folder and see. Now for future do I need to run any tests to check out the controllers? Think its still failing? I use 2 AOC-SAS2LP-MV8 cards and the rest are wired directly to the MB. I have a Supermicro X10SAE. Any suggestions? Quote Link to comment

Cache sharing allows each cache to share its contents with the other caches and avoid duplicate caching. It is common for a point of presence on the web to have more traffic than a single server can handle. Cache sharing solves these problems by allowing each cache to share its contents with the other caches, Thank You!! https://aws.amazon.com/caching/ Why are you cutting and pasting irrelevant content here? Looks like most of their few posts are like that. We will have to keep an eye on that one, maybe a spammer just waiting to edit those posts with links. 1 Quote Link to comment
