Meet the X15: Pre-Deposits Now Open ($99, Fully Refundable)

Featured Replies

The X15 is the first product in the Unraid Signature Series: a collaboration between 45HomeLab and Lime Technology to build a server jointly engineered and validated specifically for Unraid OS.

The goal was straightforward: a system where everything works together from day one, without the research and compatibility work that usually goes into a scratch build.

Full specs:

  • 15-bay direct-wired backplane (LSI 9400-16i HBA)

  • Intel i7-14700 (20 cores / 28 threads) with integrated GPU for hardware-accelerated transcoding

  • Dual-port 10GbE Intel x550-T2 networking

  • ECC DDR4 (16GB standard; 8GB / 32GB / 64GB / 128GB available)

  • Kingston NV2 1TB NVMe boot drive with Unraid pre-installed

  • Lifetime Unraid OS license included

  • Gigabyte MW34-SP0 motherboard

  • Corsair RM1000x 1000W modular ATX PSU

  • 6x Arctic P12 Pro 120mm PWM fans

  • 16-gauge cold rolled powder coated steel chassis

  • 4U — 20"L x 17.125"W x 7"H / 40 lbs without drives

  • Available in black or white

  • Built and shipped from the US and Canada

Pricing: Starting at $2,999 (with 16GB ECC DDR4)

Pre-deposit: $99, fully refundable at any time. Amount applies to your final purchase. Units ship in the order deposits are received.

Thanks. I must be blind. 😁

3.5" HDD slots? Hot-swappable?

I’m looking at the specs for that motherboard. They only show one 10G Ethernet port and one 2.5G port. No IPMI port at all.

Is this the wrong one?

Went back and looked at the pics. They’re so dark I can’t really see much but maybe the x4 slot is being used for one of the dual nics?

That's correct. Gigabyte doesn't explicitly call it a network port for IPMI but for management, maybe that's what confused you. There is one Intel port on the motherboard for regular network and one Realtek port for management.

@itlists , yes 3,5'" slots and hot-swappable at least they are in the HL15 and this X15 will not be different I guess.

Must be the one marked MLAN. When I look up MLAN on Google I get “Music Local Area Network”. What????

The M is likely for “Management” I guess.

Is local pickup an option for shipping?

We are working with 45Homelabs and gigabyte to see if we can get manual codes so I can update.

Could you please post the results of your investigation once you determine if this will be possible or not?

I have provided info on the IPMI page.

Love the new server is it possibile we can get the unraid case with the eypc instead of the the i7

Collab video

Will there be a X30?

Will there be a X30?

in my case an x60,

so i can retire my 4 antec twelve hundred

I guess that Limetech and 45HomeLab will conclude a first batch of X15 server and assess if other versions could be successful.

There are probably some investments to launch such things and in the current economy, especially regarding computer parts, I would think that the companies will be cautious.

But hey, what do I know ! 😁 (and also, it probably not available in Europe so ... 😢)

a easier way to buy in the EU would indeed be great

I know 45 Drives started taking orders for the X15 on Starwars Day. Has anyone heard anything about when they’ll start shipping?

They should begin shipping next week sometime.
