mine is running 6 days without issues.... is running monthly parity check ... pity i had to start that manually since sf plugins are not working any more

mine doesn't freeze up either.

I haven't had any issues, but I have it pinned in chrome.

I am going to remove the new webgui and go back to stock to see if the issue persists.

 

EDIT:  Before I remove the new webgui, I am going to try and remove the VMWare Tools plugin.  I went back to using that around the same time so there is a chance that may be the culprit.

 

Other than that, the only other things I am doing that are "non-standard" are:  1. running unRAID in a VM and 2. PXE booting unRAID.  Does anyone see any issue with either (especially #2)?

What if i try this and for some reason i want to uninstall? On git it says the installer will delete the stock webgui in emhttp... how do we get the stock gui back after uninstalling the new webgui?

it deletes it when its installed.. thus if you just remove the package from the plugins folder, on reboot the normal webgui will be there (as it wont be removed since the new webgui package isnt being installed)

Ultimately I would like to replace SNAP however as a first step the GUI should show all disks connected on the homepage and not leave some hidden

Installed it, and noticed a problem with Logitech Squeezeserver plugin, on the settings page it has no description text, and the plugin page itself the layout is messed up. Could be the plugin is faulty, but it worked perfectly under SimpleFeatures.

Loading the 'Plugins' page sometimes times out with an error, takes about 30 seconds of waitcursor & no response resulting in:

I just noticed a problem with the new WebGUI and Chrome.  When I try to print the Main page, it only shows the flash drive and no other drives. Here is a photo of what I'm talking about:

IE doesn't do this and the old WebGUI used to print fine with Chrome.

Here is my 2 cents. I just installed this on a to be sold server.

I truly like the new style and the plug in page. The only thing is that the simple features plug in is not available on the page. others say Download this one is No plg file.

Now I know I am just being picky but I need the email notify and other features it has so on my main I will stick to simple features I like there java plugin as well would like to see it come over.

and finally I really like the system temp add on it makes it simple to see another way to look at the temp to compare with the disks. example if the MB temp is 50C I cant expect the HD to be colder.

By the my wife has no idea of servers. Had her compare new GUI to Simple Features. She liked the new GUI for neatness but liked Simple Features for the user account page, and the settings page all else were a toss up. Like I said she knows nothing about the technical side she is just looking at the look of them.

Then it must be a limitation of SATA vs USB.

 

I am quite focused on this aspect of unraid this now as I am dropping SNAP as a unsuported plugin that doesnt fall into line with the new GUI and doesnt really do what I want now anyway.

 

There should be an option to work with disks outside the array

FWIW, if your MB will support hotswap, then nothing stops you from stopping the array, installing the drive, creating the mount and assigning the drive to it and then restarting the array.  to make the mount permanent add the same CLI lines to your GO file. 

 

I did not do it as a hot install, but mounting a non-array drive (an SSD for Plex server app in my case) is pretty easy.

The webGUI dev is nothing to do with the V5 cycle. They are separate and discrete
