tcwatson
Hi, I'm having a weird issue where any time I add a new mount path to the Splunk container, all my config is lost when the container is rebuilt and restarted. License, customized alerts, extracted field, even admin password. Is there anyway to recover my previous configuration, or at least prevent this from happening again? Thanks Quote Link to comment
Chad Kunsman
Same thing here. Quote Link to comment
ShovelHead
Same issue here. Any action forcing the docker to restart sets the login back to default. I logged in and changed the password. Once in I could see the logs from the day before were still there. However, user info was reset. This is my first dive into Docker, so I have no experience with diagnosing it. Quote Link to comment
DivideByZero
Hi all, I have been using the AirVideoHD docker for a couple of years (on two different UnRaid Servers) and it suddenly stopped working. I can still see all of the thumbnails, including recently added movies, but when I play them the application displays "loading" and never plays. Listed below is the log from an attempt to watch one of my movies. Please note, that I have been trans coding my videos the same way for several years without any issue. I have uninstalled AirVidHD, cleaned out AppData, reinstalled the docker with no success. I have also done the same thing on the client side. In the log I noted there are a number of warnings and errors, one of which is pad not activated (though I bought the client), but I lack the knowledge to fully understand all of the log entries. Can someone point me in the right direction to resolve this issue? DivideByZero
Issue Resolved. AirVideoHD creates two directories in Appdata by default. The "/mnt/user/appdata/AirVideoHD/" where it places all of the logs and server properties. It also suggests creating a directory "/mnt/user/appdata/airvideohd" for conversion. Though Linux is case-sensitive, I have only experienced problems when relying upon case to determine the distinction between directories...so,I moved the conversion directory to ""/mnt/user/appdata/AirVideoHD/convert/" and deleted "/mnt/user/appdata/airvideohd." Everything appears to work as before. Edited December 4, 2018 by DivideByZero Quote Link to comment
Vexorg
tips on how to update splunk to newest version since it looks like this project is dead. exec into the container and do: wget -O splunk-7.2.3-06d57c595b80-linux-2.6-amd64.deb "https://www.splunk.com/bin/splunk/DownloadActivityServlet?architecture=x86_64&platform=linux&version=7.2.3&product=splunk&filename=splunk-7.2.3-06d57c595b80-linux-2.6-amd64.deb&wget=true" dpkg -i splunk-7.2.3-06d57c595b80-linux-2.6-amd64.deb /opt/splunk/bin/splunk start --accept-license PS. if this deletes all your logs, it should not, or burn down your house please don't blame me Quote Link to comment
JaseNZ
Have installed the AirvideoHD docker and just wondered about the whole vlc library thing. Is this something that needs to be installed separately ??. Everything works ok but the creation of the thumbnails seems to take a long time is this pretty normal ??. Quote Link to comment
JaseNZ
Is there any way to limit the amount of memory Air-Video HD uses, Once an iPad or anything is connected the memory just starts going through the roof. I can go from 11% used which is about norm to 80% used within 15 mins. I am currently running 32gb. Quote Link to comment

Thanks for pointing it out. Quote Link to comment
