hernandito Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Sweet... Thank you for this... I have switched over.
ijuarez Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 Silly question I have another sickrage version, i want to change to this one, how do you restore from a backup so i don't have to setup everything?
hernandito Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 Silly question I have another sickrage version, i want to change to this one, how do you restore from a backup so i don't have to setup everything? I switched from needo's to this one without doing anything. To test, copy your current sickrage folder in appdata to say /appdata/sickragex Then point this as your /config folder in the new docker and see if everything boots up normal. If it works OK, then you can re-install an dpoint to the orginal sickrage folder.

But I fix that and its golden.
dalben Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 I just migrated a heap of containers over to linuxserver containers. Fairly painless with just the odd configure change needed. Solid work guys. If you are ever bored, flexget and transmission are about the only two I have left that aren't linuxservered. And Emby, but that's from the coders so happy to stay with theirs.

rattlehead05 Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 I'm having some trouble setting up post processing, I believe related to mapping the downloads folder. I apologize all the questions recently, but this week is my first time using docker instead of running these as standalone applications. Sickrage searches my provider, grabs an nzb, tells sab to download it, sab puts it in the complete directory, and then sickrage just kind of sits there scratching its head going "Well I snatched it, what more do you want?" I got this error in the log: 2015-10-31 12:33:02 POSTPROCESSER :: Automatic post-processing attempted but dir doesn't exist This is how I have it mapped in the Unraid docker menu: sabnzbd /downloads --> /mnt/user/Filedrop/nzb/complete sickrage /downloads --> /mnt/user/Filedrop/nzb/complete Attached is what my post-processing screen looks like on the web interface for sickrage. What am I missing here?
hernandito Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 In sickrage, you need to put Post-Processing folder to be /downloads
rattlehead05 Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 OK, final question (for now!). When I had this all set up on an earlier machine, I had a SABtosickbeard.py script. Is that script no longer necessary?
rattlehead05 Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 Nevermind, I got it. Problem was I was entering "downloads", not "/downloads" so it would just make a folder named downloads under the sickrage config folder instead of using the one named by the docker setup.
hernandito Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 OK, final question (for now!). When I had this all set up on an earlier machine, I had a SABtosickbeard.py script. Is that script no longer necessary? I used to use it too... but someone said its not necessary anymore... THe PP is good enough in Sickrage and Couchpotato.
ijuarez Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Never used the script but sickrage's is pretty good.

ijuarez Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 Linuxserver.io someone else posted this on the forum. http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=44076.0;topicseen How does that affect the docker.
linuxserver.io Posted November 18, 2015 Author Posted November 18, 2015 ls.io is neutral on this and has not made a decision yet. We are waiting for more information from both sides. No changes will be made to this docker until after that point.
lonix Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 No longer "neutral": https://www.linuxserver.io/index.php/2015/11/20/changes-to-the-sickrage-container/

hernandito Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 Is there a place to follow what is going on between these 2 camps? Without taking sides, I would guess its better to stay with the guys who have brought SR up to this point; and not the original creator (who I guess cloned Sickbeard).
strike Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 The drama is over now. The team started a new org, and the only update the "original owner" has done since coming back is a update to a readme file, saying the "ex-team" may spread malicious code on their new repo, (lol, it's open source). Basically the "original org owner" came back after being away for 14 months, fired the lead developer because of some code breaking the dev branch (hello, it's meant for development and breaks all the time) but the underlying issue really seems to be money (donations). Not only did he want to keep all the donations for himself instead of the user deciding to which developer to donate but he also had plans for "paid support or no support at all". If you want to read the IRC logs between the devs here it is: http://pastie.org/10568770 (you have to scroll down a bit for the first listed pastie which is between the "original owner" and the new owner and lead developer). What the "original owner" posted to the users you can read in the thread just a few post up. The issue has come back up again several times in the new sickrage channel, mainly from other devs supporting SR on different systems wanting to know what's going on and if the old repo was going to be maintained or not so they could decide to change repo or not. I only have this info because I've been following the drama on irc myself. The devs has released the logs themselves so users can see both sides of the story.
linuxserver.io Posted November 21, 2015 Author Posted November 21, 2015 Changes to the Sickrage Container. As most of you may have noticed there has been some changes to the Sickrage group. Whilst we greatly acknowledge and appreciate everything echel0n has done for SickRage,Linuxserver.io has now decided that the best way to proceed will be as follows. We feel that it would be for the benefit of our users to have the most up-to-date code. As a conclusion we have decided to switch to the new SickRage repository for our future containers. Builds from linuxserver/sickrage:3 and up will contain the new repo. linuxserver/sickrage:2 still contains the echelon repo, but any changes or future improvements made to the linuxserver image will not be available to those remaining on sickrage:2
