I would not use the flash drive. I would seriously consider using cache drive, that is pretty much where everyone put everything, even an old 80gb dirve will do.

  • Are you running embyserver:beta ? I got the same error but only with the latest beta (4.6.0.34)   You can wait for a fix or specify the previous beta in Repository: emby/embyserver:4.6.

  • It's in the beta. Switch your repository to emby/embyserver:beta or wait for the next release.

Use drive one for now if you have to, but please consider a cache

Hmm, no more room on the MB or case for a drive. I'll have to look into combining 2 drives if I can find an 8TB for a good price.

Hi,

Is the Hardware-Transcoding via VAAPI working?

I tried to activate it and got the error message:

[AVHWDeviceContext @ 0x3b8d3e0] No VA display found for device: /dev/dri/card0.
[vaapi @ 0x312f1e0] Failed to create a VAAPI device

Does that device exist in unraid? Did you pass it through to the docker? I'm genuinely asking, I don't know if it will work or not.

At this moment not, I'm currently working on it. I hope to have it done by this summer.

Thanks for the answer.

+1 for the VAAPI support.

Any more info what is the specific problem with that? When i recall it right, the Plex Docker can already do hardware transcoding. Correct me if i am wrong.

Plex has also had their own implementation of ffmpeg for a long time this is something new for us. For now you can probably do some manual workarounds, such as map the device, set the permissions and install ffmpeg from packman.

Amy chance this would be updated soon. There is a fix for guide data on live tv I am waiting for :)

Thanks,

Scott

Sorry, I wasn't trying to be a jerk ?

I normally update from the Docker page when it shows there is an update available. Sorry, I am fairly new to Docker in general.

Will it show there is an update there (it currently does not) or do I have to update it another way. I currently have 3.2.28 and inside emby it says 3.2.30 is avaialble but I'm pretty sure I'm not supposed to update through Emby directly. The Docker page show up to date.

Thanks for being patient with me.

Crap, I never hit the Check for Updates button. So sorry, I don't know why I didn't see that. It's updated now. Thanks for all your work on this and please give me a pass on this one ?

Just glad it is all working for you. Always check the docker hub when in doubt. Builds and updates should be available within the hour, it is all automatic, so if you don't see it please post here.[emoji1]

RESOLVED: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/51301-cant-get-any-of-my-media-to-play/#entry492426

https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/45351-sync-with-reverse-proxy-not-working-correctly/?p=425907

Hello everyone,

My Emby Docker would not play any videos and could not update, so I rebuilt the Docker Image File and reinstalled it. I am now on version 3.2.32.0, but I am still having problems playing any of my media (TV shows, Movies, and Audio Books) and Emby constantly logs me out. I went through the logs and it appears there is a "Native error= Access denied" showing up. I ran the tool in Unraid called "Docker Safe New Perms", but it did not solve the issue (I am assuming it is because it does not touch the appdata folder). I can see all of my media and can even modify the metadata, so I know it can access /mnt where my media is stored. I am not sure what to do from here. Attached is a copy of my log file.

EDIT: I found a link to what appears to be the same issue occurring on a different platform, just not sure how to apply the fix to the Emby Docker running on Unraid.

https://forum.openmediavault.org/index.php/Thread/10769-Emby-Can-t-play-anything-Error-starting-ffmpeg-Access-denied/?pageNo=2

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Nick
