Frank1940
At the present time, there is not way to logout of the GUI unless one shutdowns the browser. This could be a potential security risk (for those users whose computers can be accessible by untrustworthy persons) that could be easily addressed by placing a 'Logout' button in the toolbar. 2 Quote Link to comment
RobJ
And if you add that, might be nice to have a timed logout, based on an activity timer (e.g. no user activity for 30 minutes - log the session out). I doubt many users would use it, but useful for special circumstances, shared machines. 1 1 Quote Link to comment
1812
I wouldn't use it, but it would be a good feature to have. Quote Link to comment
Frank1940
Thinking about this a bit more, the ideal place to place a logout option would be under the current 'Buttons' icon. This placement would take zero space on the toolbar but would still be easy to get to and is related to the type of action already available there. Quote Link to comment
Frank1940
Did this request ever make the list for inclusion in a future release? It would seem to be a simple request to add this functionality and would enhance security. Presently, the only way to be logged off of the GUI to so close the browser. Eventually all websites logoff the user when the last window is closed even if the user 'forgets' to logoff. unRAID is not even providing that level of security at this point. Quote Link to comment
bonienl
I would like to add that, but have no clue how to do it Quote Link to comment
Frank1940
Perhaps, set a cookie on login and periodically request info from it. If you don't get it, terminate the session and require a new login to reconnect... (I am no expert in html programming but cookies have to good for something besides 'tracking' me.)
