666gene
sorry for my ignorance. Due to not being able to get to the UI whats the best method to getting log file off the flash drive? normally i have is passed through as a share but its a reasonably new server and didnt enable flash share option.. and i dont have Krusader running atm to copy the file over. The server is remote so i haven't got physical access to it at this time. Would restarting just to get the file be an option? i know that restarting fixes the issue so i wanted to leave it running for troubleshooting purposes, but if needed iv already extracted the file and can restart. BRiT
You could copy the file to another share (if you have any other shares configured) if the other shares are configured and accessable. cp /boot/logs/tower-diagnostics-*.zip /mnt/user/destinationshare Link to comment

666gene
Will a simple ChkDsk suffice like below article? or should i be running a better tool? https://helpdeskgeek.com/how-to/run-chkdsk-utility-xp/ Link to comment

trurl
And you should try a different USB port if it keeps happening, preferably USB2. Link to comment

666gene
No errors were found on the USB. iv confirmed that the USB was indeed in a USB 3 port and have now moved it to a suitable USB 2 Port. will confirm if all is still fine tomorrow. Link to comment
666gene
Im comfortable that this has been resolved. Appreciate all your input. I believe it was due to not being in a USB2 Slot. iv set this to [SOLVED] Link to comment
