[Support] Josh5 - Unmanic - Library Optimiser

Try looking at the logs (also enable debugging) when you execute a library scan. There will be lines in there explaining why the files are not being added to the queue.

Feel free to join the discord channel. You would be more likely to get assistance there than in this forum.

Thanks - I didn't know there was a Discord, could you kindly share an invite?

  • @Ashe @trekkiedj @itimpi   Please see update first post also for an example of how I have it setup. I have also added a temporary solution to adding multiple library locations if anyone need

  • There should be a new update available. This has quite a number of changes to how ffmpeg is executed. It should resolve some issues with inotify and library scanning. For those people who created

  • Just as a notice here, I will soon be steeping away from using Unraid to develop and maintain my projects. I will still provide support for Unraid for all of my projects, but that will be moved and on

Is there an easy way to remove all audio tracks except English?  I see there’s a plug-in that can drop specific audio languages, but it requires you to list all of them that you want dropped, and I have no idea what ones I have.  I just know I want them all dropped except English.

This sounds good in theory. But in practice you will regret that approach when you end up with files with no audio tracks in them because the language was unknown.

Unmanic can be run multiple times against your library. If you run it and then find that some of your files had languages that you didn't want, just update the plugin settings and run the library scan again.

Just a guess but maybe your h265 plug-in CRF value is too low , also you want to add the "reject if larger than original" plug-in to avoid the replace of the original file if the transcoded file is larger

Thanks for the reply.
How do I check the h265 plugin CRF value. Cos I’m pretty new to this. What’s the recommended value if I must ask?
Thanks for info there a auto reject plugin. I will look into that plug-in.

Worked perfectly, thanks.

I'm currently running a few tests on files to find a good workflow, is there a way to delete the 'file size metrics' data so that when I set unmanic on my main folder it's running from scratch?

Also on one of Cpt Chaz's youtube videos he says that you can only use 5 plugins unless you subscribe on Patreon - I have 8 plugins which all appear to be working correctly, have I missed something? I haven't seen that statement written anywhere on the app.

The limit has been increased to 10 or 20.

The metrics data can be reset by deleting the history.db file in . unmanic/userdata/file_size_metrics/

Brilliant, thanks.

@Josh.5, I got this results on every transcoded file, the video bitrate (red) is not updated to reflect the transcode, it stays the same as the original bitrate

Thoughts on the below error?

Failed to end picture decode issue: 23 (internal decoding error)

I am running an i7-11700K processor. I know this error cropped up with Plex until a recent plex update in Nov, so wondering if its the same and if there is a potential fix?

Hello Need some help on this. I have been getting this below on a lot of video files.

Stream map '0:s:1' matches no streams.

To ignore this, add a trailing '?' to the map.

Where would I add the trailing ? to the map?

I am using the Nvidia plug in for this.

(edited for misspelled words)

ok between the 14th and yesterday There was 20 failed with this error below.

Error initializing output stream 0:0 -- Error while opening encoder for output stream #0:0 - maybe incorrect parameters such as bit_rate, rate, width or height

Conversion failed!

But starting this morning most of not all of the files are failing with this below on all of them.

Stream map '0:s:1' matches no streams.
To ignore this, add a trailing '?' to the map.

I have noticed today that the scanning of my fairly large library is much faster now. So thanks for that.

Did the issue start after you updated the the latest release?

I have everything set up for auto update which it checks every night for updates. So don't know when it last updated it would be the night of when you last released the newest update. Since this started today I think it updated last night.

Edit:

I looked up my logs. Yes it updated last night and this started a little after the update finished.
