Well some reason my server broke.  When I try to go to the WebUi it says "There is no screen attached matching Minecraft". It is not available locally either.  I forced update and checked my settings.  I am on the latest build of Unraid.  Any ideas?

did you work out how to resolve this? I am having the same issue. Thanks.

I have asked this before, but never got an answer.  When I try to go into the console, it is a SINGLE LINE of text that runs off the side of the screen, and I cannot see the end of it.  Please help ne figure this  out.

Hi guys
i just managed to transfer the local world where me and my son usually play, to the docker server.
Everything seems to work, but we start naked as we were just killed before logging in.

I think we can store our equip in chests an trasfer the world again, but i wonder why that happens.

I can add that my son's account is fine, he spawns with his character  level and items
mine is a new char, every time i reupload the local world.

Hi!
I've read everything related to Nintendo Switch in this topic and didn't get is it possible to connect to the server on Switch in local network and without 3rd party DNS. Could someone help me please?

Hi binhex,

at first thank you for your good work on that docker image! My whole family is playing Minecraft on this server, we have some fun! All works fine and smooth. My only question is:

Can I connect to the WebGUI session with an terminal program? My problem is, that I can't enter text in mobile web browsers. On my WIndows 10 machine with Edge browser works great but on my iPhone with Safari and on Android with Chrome, I can login and see the log output but can't enter some commands / text. Is there a possibility to do that on a mobile phone? I don't want to use my pc everytime I want to use the console for the server.

Furthermore I want to send commands to the webgui from my Homeassistant instance for automation processes, so that my wife can use it easily (she's not so confirm with command line interfaces. I want to create there some buttons, dropdowns and prededined commands.

I see that you use hterm.js and gotty.js libraries and I searched for possibilities to use some SSH apps which support websockets but without any success. Which protocol do you use within the WebUI?

Thanks.

Regards

This is bedrock not Java, you need binhex-minecraftserver

Hello,

I've had this up and running for some time. I am trying to spin up a second, but can't seem to connect. I've changed the default ports, but can't seem to connect. On iPad OS it shows a red for ping. Screenshot attached of port allocations - "Bedrock" is the original instance, "Bedrock2" is the new one. Any help appreciated. Thanks.

Hi all,

Have just checked out SpaceInvaderOne's video on setting up a Java Server, and wondering how different the process is for setting up Bedrock instead? I would be hosting this for a youth mental health facility so it's important that the young people can access the server on different devices.

I noticed the Bedrock version has two Ports compared to Java's one. Do I need to forward both of these ports, and create two SRV records in Cloudflare the same way SpaceInvader does for one with Java?

Are there any additional steps to also be aware of?

Thanks in advance for any help

Just a quick note for anyone who comes here looking for similar. It appears both Bedrock ports need to forwarded on your router. I have also setup just the one SRV record on Cloudflare for the port minecraft uses at the Add Server step. It's possible this might not be necessary, but haven't checked that. Enjoy.

Thanks! One question has come up - it seems the syntax in the container webui isn't the same as the Java version. For example typing "help" in Java will display a list of possible commands. With bedrock I get

image.thumb.png.a8705a0ef2eae44003a31cbe9e23d9ec.png

I'm sure I'm missing something obvious but am a complete minecraft noob.

yep you need to supply a forward slash at the beginning of the command so try '/help', for a full list of commands with descriptions check out https://minecraftbedrock-archive.fandom.com/wiki/Commands/List_of_Commands

Yeah I did give this a go too. This is the response I get in the WebUI
image.thumb.png.c03aadc6d1b8ef9f183bf6d000ca2460.png

my bad, the slashes are only required when entering the commands in-game, if you are using the server console then omit the slash, so for help page 10 you would enter 'help 10'.

a second server is def doable with caveats, more on that in a min, this is the procedure for setting up a second server:-

1. go to unraid web ui/docker and 'add container'

2. from the 'template' dropdown select under the heading '[user templates]' your existing minecraftbedrock server container

3. change the 'name' of the container from 'binhex-minecraftbedrockserver' to something else.

4. change the host ports to a different number, so change all references to 19132 to say 18132 and all ref to 19133 to 18133

5. then click on 'show more settings' and change the host path for /config to something else, for e.g. just put a '2' on the end of the path

click on apply.

6. this will now start a new container running minecraft on a different port with a different path to store configuration

now comes the caveat:-

so because you cant use the same port as the first server you can only use this with minecraft bedrock clients that allow you to specify the port number, e.g. Minecraft PE clients i think allow this, for things like xbox one i am not sure this is possible.

I'm trying to set up a second server so my son (and us!) can also have a survival server to play on as the original server I started is creative. I have followed the intructions above, but it fails when creating the container. Can anyone help/advise?

Does anyone have any tips or advice on why I wouldn’t be able to connect to my server on the local network? The server doesn’t show up in Friends and always gives me "Unable to connect to world" when trying to connect to the server manually.

  1. Regarding Network Type, should I be using "Host" here or "Bridge" - I've tried both with no luck?
    1. I'm using 192.168.1.216 on port 19132 in minecraft
  2. All iPads are on the same network as the server so I'm assuming I don't need to forward any ports on my Unifi router if I'm only connecting locally?

Not seeing any errors in the logs so I'm not sure what else to try?

Hi there, new to Minecraft and struggling with console commands. I'm sure I am getting the syntax wrong or something equally stoopid, but as you can see in the screenshot below I am typing commands in the WebGUI interface and getting errors sometimes and not other times. If somone could point me in the right direct I would be very greatful
