KeithLM
I recently removed some disks and added some new ones and moved stuff around. In the process I borked my one VM I had running and decided to start fresh. I've gone into the VM Manager and changed the storage locations multiple times now, and I get it to start and there's no indication of any problems. I've set libvirt storage to locations under /mnt/user/system and to a physical drive, /mnt/disk4/system and it creates it in either place, but no matter how many times I enable/disable VMs and delete that image and have it recreated when I go to the VMs page I just get that wavy graphic and there's nothing I can do there. Is there some way to do a reinstall of the VM manager or is there some VM manager plugin I should install? Quote Link to comment

KeithLM
Anybody have any suggestions? I just want to run a single Linux VM. I have no opinions on any of these settings and will put anything that is recommended there. I have changing all three paths to /mnt/user and I've rebooted multiple times. Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
Try editing /config/domain.cfg and delete this line: DISKDIR="/mnt/" Also, the image is 100GB, default is 1GB and plenty enough. Quote Link to comment
KeithLM
I removed that line and changed the size and rebooted and no change. I also moved libvirt back from /mnt/user/ to /mnt/disk4. Also the Dashboard page is no longer laid out correct and there's a warning that says "natcasesort() expects parameter 1 to be array, bool given in /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/dynamix/include/DashboardApps.php on line 70". All the stuff on the right is down below the stuff on the left. If I try to select that warning so I can copy it the screen changes layout. What fun. Quote Link to comment
PeteAsking
Its not clear from your OP, did you try just creating a new vm template with similar settings and when it come to disk location choosing manual in the new vm template you are making and then browsing to the image manually? bonienl
The problem is you have enabled debugging, which causes an infinite loop (known issue but never fixed). You need to manually edit the file domain.cfg and change to DEBUG="no". Reboot your system. Quote Link to comment
KeithLM
Thank you. That appears to be the cause of the problem. I don't know when that got turned on and just never thought much of it. Quote Link to comment
