After the 7.2 update, it booted up fine, but while I was fiddling around with unraid connect, I immediately lost the key where the USB load is located. I didn't even touch any settings... I'm feeling very anxious. After rebooting, I checked the CMOS and found that the boot order had been changed. When I moved the USB key to priority 1, it booted up again.... Is there some kind of bug? Looking at unraid connect, the button to backup the USB to the cloud has disappeared in 7.2... It seems like it

Suddenly I wasn't able to load the UI with this error: Clearing cookies solved it. Don't know if this is really caused by a change in 7.2 setting the limit lower than before since I also installed a container 2 days ago that seems to be the one storing a bunch of stuff in cookies, i.e. it ran about a day on 7.1.4 and about 14h on 7.2.0 with no issues until hitting this.

Hi, When trying to clone my VM it always fails. I chatted in discord with some people in the know and they sort of confirmed this is a bug and suggested i report it. Below shows that i try to clone the above VM: Basically my understanding is that the clone operation fails to create the proper folder "/mnt/user/VM/Windows 11_Clone". If i on the other hand manully create the folder Windows 11_Clone and then clone it creates the clone. Since running VM is a major part of Unraid and many use

Hello everyone, As you can read from this thread, I'm having issues with version 7.1.4 and also 7.2.0 beta. Network issue after 7.1.4 update from 7.1.3 - Page 2 - General Support - Unraid There's something about Docker and the community app store that kills my network. It seems a lot like a huge broadcast storm. I'm attaching here the diagnostics of my latest test on version 7.2.0 Beta 2, the issue happened around 01:32 AM. I'm rolling back to 7.1.3, but I'm available to make tests if it hel

I'm using a Framework AI Max 395 motherboard. I’m having a somewhat frustrating issue right now that I can’t seem to be able to figure out. Whenever I command the PC to shutdown (using poweroff command in Unraid or through the Web UI), the system goes through the shutdown process and actually turns off. I see the power button LED turn off and the keyboard LEDs turn off, then about 1 second later, the computer comes back on and starts the boot process again. I’ve looked through /var/log/syslog f

Hi Recently upgraded from 6.9.2 up to 6.10 stable, the process was quite smooth with only some small hiccups updating my Windows 11 to use the new TMP method. There is how ever a change in the system through the upgrade that I am unable to rectify. Previously on unraid boot I had a script that modified the acpi_handler.sh to incorporate a script when the power button was pressed, this would determine the state of my Windows 11 VM and Start/Stop the VM if needed. Now it se

I have a shared drive, shared only through NFS Shared Name : backups Export : Yes Security : Private Rule : 10.2.10.29(rw,sync,no_root_squash,no_subtree_check) 10.2.10.120(rw,sync,no_root_squash,no_subtree_check) As soon as I save the rule is modified by unraid, removing the space here "no_subtree_check) 10.2.10.120" -> "no_subtree_check)10.2.10.120" The share is not created: exportfs -v returns nothing /usr/sbin/exportfs -r exportfs: /etc/exports:2: syntax error: bad option list cat /etc/e

Under unRAID 6, the VMs page showed the VNC port for each VM. In unRAID 7, this is no longer shown. Opening the VNC connection in-browser does not show the port in the URL, either: the port parameter is empty. I should not have to port-scan my server to find how to connect VNC to a VM; I also shouldn't have to manage the ports myself by manually allocating port numbers to VMs where I want to use a separate VNC client. The old method of displaying the port number in the listing worked just fin

Unraid’s ifconfig reports 0.0.0.0 when the bridge’s member interfaces or the underlying configuration (via ip addr or brctl) doesn’t explicitly define a broadcast value. Most modern Linux networking tools (like iproute2) don’t require or even use the broadcast field for L2-bridged interfaces anymore, because the bridge itself operates at Layer 2 and passes broadcast frames transparently... However, Docker configures its bridge with ip commands when it creates docker0, explicitly including the b

Hi, Setup: I have a remote QNAP server connected through Wireguard to local network. This server is mapped as remote share using unassigned devices. Remote IP: 10.6.0.2 local mountpoint> /mnt/remotes/QNAP In docker, I have duplicati running, accessing the remote share doing a mirror of local data. The remote server goes off every night and back on every morning, therefore the share is not available at night. Scenario 1: SMB share - when the remote server goes off, Duplicati gets stucked i

I was on 7.1.2 with over 3 months of uptime, which was probably a record as the GUI almost always breaks eventually, due to NGINX errors - nothing suggested on the forum fixes it without a reboot, although sometimes /etc/rc.d/rc.nginx restart might buy some time). Anyway, there wasn't any reason to update today but I thought I would as I had some free time in case anything went wrong. So I updated to 7.1.4 and within a few hours both SSH and the GUI where completely down.. only a forced reboot

Apologies in advance as I don't really know what I'm doing, I just follow guides. Ryzen 3 3200G Nvidia Tesla P4 But anyway, have had this server setup for quite some time. Upgraded from 6.12.4 last week, and maybe the plex docker container as well. Noticed today that when trying to Transcode a video in Plex (official container) that I would get Error: 4294967283. Tried multiple files on different platforms (app, web, phone), same issue (though on phone it would just cl

Entering a vDisk size in the VM creation form allocates an image file immediately, even if the VM isn’t created. Canceling leaves the image in /mnt/user/domains/, consuming cache space.

📝 Issue Summary I’ve hit a reproducible issue in Unraid 7.1.4 where a ZFS mirror degrades only after starting a VM. The culprit appears to be a Phison E16 NVMe (Sabrent Rocket 4.0 1TB) controller that is bound to vfio-pci but is still partially claimed by the kernel/ZFS. Key points: The drive is not part of my intended ZFS pool. I bound it in vfio-pci.cfg and added it to syslinux.cfg via vfio-pci.ids=1987:5016. lspci -k shows it bound to vfio-pci. Despite this, /dev/nvme2n1p1 appears in my ZF

Hi, i experienced a problem with the /var/lib/docker/unraid-autostart file. If you set a container to autostart and afterwards delete the container, the entry will still stay in the /var/lib/docker/unraid-autostart file. Normally not a big problem, but i switches from Unraid Containers to a Docker-Compose file and experienced the problem, that containers from the compose file was still influenced from the autostart entrys, as i named all the containers the same in the compose file. If you wa

Hi, when i try to add a second host to a nfs share rule and click apply, Unraid removes the space between the rules. Afterwards i get the error "root: exportfs: /etc/exports:3: syntax error: bad option list" in syslog. On the client side, you get the error: mount.nfs: mounting 192.168.10.10:/mnt/user/dlna failed, reason given by server: No such file or directory Screenshot of Unraid after apply I think the /etc/exports is missing in the diagnostics. root@unraid:~# cat /etc/exports # See expo

Since around Unraid 6.10 (exact version unclear, but confirmed gone by the 6.10 release candidates), the internal kernel field rdevLastIO that the Dynamix Cache Directories plugin relies on has been removed. This field was previously used to determine the last disk I/O activity. As a result, the plugin can no longer properly detect when array disks have been accessed. This leads to two kinds of problems: Errors and warnings in the system log when the plugin tries to read rdevLastIO. Incorrect

Hi, I had to do some works on my server without using a remote computer (as i do usually). So i booted with GUI on, everything ok (including dashboard). Restarted in normal mode, connecting remotely to the dashboard page and every single "realtime" parameter shown is updating like at 5FPS: -Processors Stats/Graphic. -ETH Interface graphic. Tried everything to restore a normal situation, nothing fixed it. The only thing that solved it wa: -Stopping the array, -> shutdown; -Taking out the

I am not sure if this is only a visual effect or if the system is actually defaulting back to performance mode. However, if I set the system power mode to efficiency and at some point reboot. The system will default back to performance. Unsure If I have something not set right, if this is something intended, or something else. Either-way, just dropping this here for someone to take a look at it. Thank you. apollo-diagnostics-20250921-1601.zip
