Ja super!! Ne, bei mir läuft alles.. frag nur interessehalber. Ja, die Soundkarte sollte generell immer mit auf den gleichen bus gesetzt werden, so wie es "original" auch ist. Was die Konfiguration betrifft, ist macOS deutlich "empfindlicher"... Aber wenn richtig konfiguriert, dann stabil, schnell und effizient. Nur mal so btw... Bei idle Betrieb mit aktivem Displayoutput spart macOS gegenüber Windows ca. 20w bei meinem Server...

Schön zu hören!! Ich konnte leider nicht früher schreiben, aber den Grund hatte ich ja schon genannt. Ich muss zu deinem Phänomen sagen, dass ich noch in meiner ersten Woche mit Unraid auf ovmf umgestiegen bin und daher den vendor-reset sowie den alten navi-patch nie mit seabios betrieben habe. Kann gut sein, dass dein Problem allein durch den Wechsel auf das UEFI bios gelöst wurde. Noch eine Frage zu deiner GPU.. Wenn du deine verschiedenen VM's über das OS neustartest, funktioniert der Sound? Hast du kurzzeitig merkwürdige Fragmente auf dem Display? Oder funktioniert alles reibungslos? Zu der Treiberinstallation.. Bei mir selbst verhält sich die Treiberinstallation exakt identisch zu einer Installation auf Bare Metal. Kann aber auch bei Windows gern mal an vorherigen fehlgeschlagenen Installationen o.ä. liegen. Windows bereinigt sich selbst ja nicht so "gut" Kann dir hier sonst noch für spätere Situationen "DDU" - einfach mal googlen - empfehlen. Damit konnte ich Windows eigentlich immer überzeugen Uff 💚

Hi Newbie, bei mir läuft es so stabil wie es nur kann. Ich selber betreibe eine 5700xt im Referenzdesign. Negative Erlebnisse werden immer mehr hervorgehoben, mach dir da am besten dein eigenes Bild mit deinem Setup und teste einfach mal. Ich selber hab bisher noch nichts schlechtes aus dem unraid forum gehört. Teilweise war der vendor-reset tatsächlich die lang ersehnte Lösung, da bei einigen der mittlerweile alte navi-patch nicht alle Probleme behob. Mein Name steht übrigens eine Zeile höher 😜

Das wird deine Lösung sein Dafür musst du dann mit @ich777s "unraid kernel helper" einen custom kernel kompilieren um den vendor-reset zu integrieren. Hast du über die community apps andere zusätzliche treiber installiert, müssen diese ebenfalls mit kompiliert werden und die dementsprechenden plugins vor dem Neustart deinstalliert werden. Für ein How-To checke bitte mal den entsprechenden thread ab. Solltest du Probleme haben wird er dir sicher gern helfen! Ich bin im Moment beruflich stark eingebunden, deswegen können weitere Antworten von mir eine Weile dauern 😜 Viel Spaß dann, sobald alles eingerichtet ist

Big Navi cards should work ootb, as they fully support flr as specified in pcie specifications. Strange... But as I read here, there seems to be an issue with the vbios. @trig229 you can also try to download your vbios from techpowerup and use that instead.

Dieses Verhalten solltest du über clover bzw. opencore deaktivieren. Es reicht, wenn der Bildschirm ausgeht. Ist deine Karte in macos unterstützt? Haben welche mit genau deiner Karte einen mac am laufen? Nutzt du den vendor-reset? Wenn nicht, solltest du das machen!! Korrekt. Ich habe immer über den xml editor konfiguriert, da ansonsten relevante Parameter beim speichern verloren gehen.

It may work, but that's no guarantee. Some vega20 cards seem to refuse baco reset (bus active chip off)... If you dont mind, could you share your vendor/model with us and maybe try it out and share your results with us? We would highly appreciate that

Hey! Do you have the nvidia plugin installed via ca app? I experienced an issue where my server wouldn't boot in that situation, while compiling the kernel with vendor-reset and nvidia support directly integrated works just fine.

For what reason? It is really simple and quick to do. Additionally, it helps with the performance.

Hey @dlandon! First of all, thank you for implementing the toggle switch to ud! I expirienced a bug today, which was just a few days ago reported from another user in a similar way. Here's a snap: In that moment I was copying a large vdisk to my new nvme (pool device 'images'). As you can see it does report roughly double the maximum theoretical throughput on that read sequence. The nvme does report the correct write speed. The other user I mentioned is able to achieve far over 10GB/s write speed reported in the ud section. In fact, his nvme is only capable of 1,7GB/s. Just wanted to inform you...

Okay... I saw a possibility there, because in previous versions the names did not exist in that way... they were simply called sdb or nvme1n1 in that column

Okay, what about the ability to rename the devices? Right now, I have dev 1 and dev 3.. would be nice be able to rename for example dev 1 to VMs or Images or something like that.

Do you use the vendor-reset?

The audio reset feature for navi is integrated into vendor-reset master now. No need to select the branch anymore..

As far as I can tell, flr on x570 mattise usb controller should work. I am using a controller aswell and it works just fine. I don't even use ssdt's...

That is awesome! You are the 3rd to report a working navi card in this thread! Yesterday, @derpuma reported that he could even force stop a vm and boot afterwards As we should not hesitate.... can you try that, too?! Just kidding.... Have fun with it!!!
