Which problem exactly?

Hi! With SR-IOV you are able to share the devices resources with VMs. The device is still usable for the host system. In simple terms, the host and dockers use .. .. while you passthrough one of these VFs to a VM. The amount of VFs (Virtual Functions) can be increased if needed and is for example limited to 7 for Intel iGPUs as far as I have seen.

QuickSync should work. Did you check if device manager reports issues like code 43 or something else? Sunshine for example uses QuickSync. I can use Sunshine, but handbrake fails on both of my systems, although I know someone with an N100 on which the windows vm can utilize QuickSync in handbrake.

I can verify that you can use a physical monitor but you can not use the onboard hdmi/dp ports. With Intel GVT-g it was possible to use an usb to hdmi adapter. This also works with the new iGPUs, just passtrough the usb device and give it a go.. With my adapter I had to install a driver first, this may not be the case for every adapter.

Thank you! Unbind all devices from vfio and reboot your system. You don't need the audio controller for sound. You can install Steam and then use their builtin audio device or you install this Virtual Soundcard and use Moonlight/Sunshine. In terms of the VFIO_MAP_DMA errors at the moment I think that this is a hardware specific error message. My main gets the same messages (13500 also with UHD 770) but my N100 does not. But anyway, it seems that it does not have an impact to the vm. So unless there are issues affecting the vm I suggest we take a look from time to time and observe the situation. Maybe future updates will eliminate this error 😊 btw.. I just did some testing with my Windows11-VM and got some good results: Furmark Youtube Stats for Nerds

You should also be able to use a real monitor with an hdmi dongle. Still need to verify this though.

No it doesn't. You can run a VM and transcode within plex simultaneously. You just have to make sure that you do not passthrough the iGPU itself. Pass a VF trough to a vm and everything should be fine 🙂

Don't bind the VFs to vfio. Please unbind, reboot and try again 🙂

qemu-system-x86_64: VFIO_MAP_DMA failed: Invalid argument
Do you have the VFs bound to vfio? If yes, unbind them and reboot. At best, unbind everything unless absolutely necessary.

What makes you think it uses 02.0 instead of 02.1 or 02.1? Have you tried waiting for a few minutes to see if the vm comes up?

Awesome! Thanks for the feedback after migration!

Okay, please take a look at this topic as this is not an issue related to the plugin.

No, you should still see the terminal output from unraid via hdmi. Use RDP, Sunshine or some similar tech. Parsec is not recommended right now.

Hey... I guess there is an issue with the sound card. Maybe it lacks FLR (Function Level Reset). I suggest you check for that icon in system devices: When you don't passthrough your sound card, does the vm start successfully just with vf1?

I forked ich777's version of the plugin. This version is covered by the Plugin-Update-Helper and packages for upcoming Unraid versions will be available. For compatibility with your iGPU check this Page.

Okay. Remove the entry for serial device. It is not needed for HXi series. I will take a look again soon. Gesendet von iPhone mit Tapatalk

Thank you, couldn't find anything specific. Can you try 6.12.6? I have to say that I didn't have any issues with the plugin since 6.12..

Oh excellent! I own an ax1600i.. I will do some testing then and see if I can get any data from the psu.

Actually not. AX1600i uses a different way of communication.
