Hey @Cael817, do you mind sharing your config info with me, i am stumped. I have got SFP+ fiber transceivers now because of the check cable statement and still no communication. Greatly appreciated if i could know if there is anything special configured on your eth1 before bonding to eth0.

Thanks for the support @Cael817, taking the time to look out the information to help me is very kind of you. Through some experimentation I think you made the 10g port the eth0 using the "Interface Rules" and the 1GBE your eth1. I have replicated making NIC p1 = eth0, NIC p2 = eth1, GBE = eth2. I have bonded eth0 and eth2. eth0 picks up a ip from DHCP on UDM and Unraid is accessible by this DHCP provided address in addition to the static address assigned by the UDM router to the GBE /eth2 port. If i pull eth2 Unraid is inaccessible. In addition i have the warning "interface ethernet port 0 is down. check cable!" I'm still uncertain if it is a config or cable issue. perhaps you could share your config of your eth1. Perhaps there is something i am overlooking with my inexperience with sfp and NIC. EDIT: to include the interface dashboard view. It will alternate on/off eth0.

Hey, I am trying to use this same card as above. One SFP+ port on the Mellanox card via Linkbasic Direct Attached Copper 1m 10G SFP+ Uplink Cable to SFP+ port 11 on UDM Pro. The card shows in the unraid network settings setup. However when i try configure the device shows online for a few seconds then drops. eth0 is existing 1000mbps port. I am not sure if this is a configuration thing of hardware is cable or pcie slot. i also had a short lived issue with getting stuck in the flexboot initialisation as the USB was not reading. Port one was connected to the UDM at the start. @Cael817 how did you configure? I have set rules for the port to go to the same vlan as the existing GBE. I have set the SFP to a new ip address manually with ETH1 mac address so when it joins the network it will be at an ip i know. then i can replace it with the existing static one services call to.

Hi @KluthR, There is a debug log sent to your server '7741fdb5-c2b4-4df0-b4d8-b95d5420612c' the error states "Cannot create destination folder". The automation of the backup has not run since 21/11/2023, backup on 28/11/2023 is noted as 'failed' on the directory.

So after some days of shutting down various vm's and testing only for the 100% usage to return, i found a RAM chip to be not showing in the system, after 1. re-seating the ram and 2. finding this comment on a thread speaking of a similar issue with CPU, i de-activated integrity plugin for 2 days. The issue did not return. I have no re-activated integrity plugin and will monitor further. but so far the issue has resolved. HA VM is running along with 4 other ubuntu vm's. @joshsalvimaybe this can assist with your issue?

@joshsalviI have this same issue. I do not use Radarr/Sonarr. I have rebooted and shutdown with power cycles a number of times. The system will occasionally run ok for a short time but return to maxing out the cpu, causing other applications to hang and crash. The system was fine and stable before the install in a vm per Home Assistant forum instructions: https://community.home-assistant.io/t/install-home-assistant-as-a-vm-on-unraid/270195 The issue of CPU 100% usage resolves and returned to normal the second the home assistant vm is quit. Two CPU cores are pinned per the instructions, i did alternate one, issue still persists. Diagnostics removed after resolution.

Hi Unraid Community, Having some problems with a looping boot up after moving a m.2 from a pcie adapter to the second m.2 port on my new mobo. Recently moved Mobo from: Asus P8Z77-V PRO with intel i7 3770 to: Rog Strix B450-F Gaming II Ryzen 4500 Moving some hardware around i removed the second parity disk for a short time as its a 10tb in an array no larger than 4tb individual drives. So ordered a replacement 4tb drive for the parity 2 and 10tb being moved with the original mobo and cpu to build a backup unraid server. This transfer was easy enough and the above serves as extra info on stuff happening at the time of another issue with NVME move. The new Mobo has dual m.2 sockets. So i decided to try use them both. Old Nvme SkHynix 512gb from laptop and the existing SkHynix 256gb that runs on a m.2 pcie adapter unsure of the model as there are little identifying marks, i will add an image in a day or two when the pre-clear is finished on the 4tb above. Why the move? the m.2_1 on the mobo will achieve +/-1300MBps transfers the pcie on the adapter gets +/-370MBps. I performed a hardware move of the both above. when restarting the server would boot loop, giving me a few final statement in the image attached about the nvidia module not being present. I commented on the Nvidia thread @ich777 was troubleshooting with me The best i could do to get out of the boot loop was change the 'M.2_2' & 'PCIe x16_1' from 'Auto' to Gen 2 in the bios. This solved boot loop but i still could not access the UI through ip or .local. unraid ui the ip address and .local address would return '404' 'page not found'. Eventually the ui was accessible on windows edge browser not brave browser. Further strange was the renaming of the server to default 'Tower'. Then the following morning both browsers would access fine. The manual states m.2 socket 'm.2_2' on the Rox Strix B450-F Gaming II is used then 'PCIe x16_1' will run at x8 mode. Is there anyone with input? is this dns lookup on the browser issue and something else on the hardware. I'm unsure of the application of the 'Gen' 1,2 or 3 in the bios as auto should have enabled the applicable version, is this my misunderstanding. Should i be looking at other bios settings for this hardware. In terms of diagnostics, due to the server name change all the previous logs that were visible on the USB under logs are not visible.

Eventually gave up making adjustments in the bios trying to get the system to accept the nvme on the mobo and put it back to the pcie card. It was still tricky to get into the UI after as i received 'page not found 404' error. I'm not super experienced with all aspects of the pcie's. Any thoughts, The monitor would output the boot processes including hardware checks and in the bios would see both nvme drives.

tried the above, now get this issue. Server still auto restarting after this tower login ad os version screen.

I was not busy with nvidia manually. as mentioned above. I needed to add a sata drive and move m.2 from pcie to MOBO. The Nvidia updates are automated to run think at 9am (i am pretty sure) with the rest of the docker updates. The system was shutdown, hardward changes done and booted up again, now cannot access UI. Have removed Nerdpack manually as i noted it stated incompatible on the diagnostics.

I am getting Error: FATAL: Module nvidia not found in directory /lib/modules/5.19.14-unraid Yet on the unraid USB in the path pictured a package exists. I took the server offline, moved an NVME from a pcie to the motherboard m.2 slot and added a hard drive via SATA awaiting preclear. Once this error shows it shuts down and reboots doing the same process the second time.

Solved, for searchability maybe it helps someone else. Motherboard: Rog Strix B450-F Gaming II CPU: Ryzen 5 4500 SATA Ports 5 & 6 turn off when m.2_1 is operating in sata or pcie mode. Solution setM.2_1 to "sata56" My second external SATA controller is a PCIEx1 and the PCIEx16_3 controller needed to be set from Auto to "x1 Mode". See screenshot. still having issues with Ryzen 5 4500 onboard graphics wont output on the HDMI, i want to remove the gpu eventually to conserve power. I do not find an option for graphics in the bios like i did with Intel board. my First ryzen Cpu. EDIT: seems ryzen 5 4500 does not include a CPU graphics, so i have to keep the card.

bios is now updated to latest. Unplugged 4 disks (6,7,8,9) that were showing in the bios and unraid but the initial disks,3,4,5 still missing. Guess either cable which i can replace quick or ports on the board. are these the only possibilities?

Thanks Arbadacarba, disks 3,4,5 and un-used cach drive (ssd) are not showing to the bios either. therefore not selectable in unraid and array is stopped state. Checked cable connections (data specifically) as i mentioned they are spinning up and constantly running therefore powered. Only a new drive m.2 appears in the drive selection for the array, but it should not impact as it remains as unassigned. There is a note on the initial setup of bios docs "NOTE: Many motherboards support only up to 12 hard drives for purposes of boot selection. This is normally not an issue for Unraid® OS; however, if your Flash device is recognized by the bios as a hard drive, you may not be able to boot from the Flash after installing your 12th “real” hard drive. To avoid this, if possible set up your bios so that the Flash is treated as a removable device." I am not sure if this could be impacting, but the missing 4 takes me to 10 drives online. excl the boot flash. to confirm the board is the Rog Strix B450-F Gaming II. Update: Bios boot options counts 12 options. disks 4 & 5 are visible there. disk 3 and cache still missing. Trying to update Bios but its stating update .CAP not a bios.

Hi Community, I have tried to find some existing issues in threads here but connot find solution. I have chnaged hardware today for my unraid server from Intel 3770 to new Asus Rog 450F II board and Ryzen 5 4500. After some tweaks in the Bios i got into the Unriad UI but the array is not started this is due to some 4 drives missing, (if you check the logs it is actually 5 but CT240BX500SSD1 has been intentionally removed due to lack of SATA ports.) The three spinning disks are spinning as i can feel the vibration, the remaining one disk is a SSD. The spinning disks are direct on the motherboards sata posts and the ssd is on a Pcie to sata card. All was good on the previous intel board. Help is appreciated as always. **System Diagnostics deleted for security**

Seeking some clarity and sanity check on possible issues with mixing rpm and cache capability drives. This is my current config after adding 2 x 7200rpm drives to my array. 1 x SSD Crucial/Micron CT240BX500SSD1 2 x SSD Crucial/Micron CT500MX500SSD1 1 x NVME SKHynix_HFS256GD9TNI-L2B0B 3 x WD Red 4TB WDC WD40EFRX-68N32N0 5400rpm (parity 1, disk 4, disk 6) 1 x WD Red 10TB WDC WD40EZRZ-00GXCB0 5400rpm (parity 2) 2 x Seagate Iron Wolf 2TB ST2000VN004-2E4164 5900rpm (disk 1 & 2) 1 x WD Enterprise 4TB WDC WD4000FYYZ-01UL1B1 7200rpm (disk 5) 1 x HDD TOSHIBA P300 2TB HDWD120 7200rpm (disk 3) 1 x WD Blue WDC WD40EZRZ-00GXCB0 4TB 5400rpm (disk New Additions 2 x HDD Toshiba X300 4TB 7200rpm (disks 7 & 9) 1 x SSD Crucial_CT525MX300SSD1 525GB All SSD's are outside the array. I have concern, as in the past i have used drobo (i know its a raid 5), but i had a huge corruption before coming to unraid this was likely (in opinion of the data recovery expert i paid a stack of cash too in order to retrieve the drobo data) mixing wd blue with toshiba x300 and two other drives. One failed and was unable to rebuild. Is the bottleneck concept applicable to parity processes between 5400, 5900 & 7400rpm's. My current thoughts are i have been running unraid for 2+ years, its been running ok with 1 x 7200rpm (toshiba P300) and 2 x ironwolf NAs at 5900rpm rating.

@Squid & @JorgeB Thanks for your responses. I have formatted the pool again and restored appdata and vm images. I have been able to shutdown and start up again without corruption. Will monitor.

Hi Awesome Community, related to this initial issue. I have been facing the same issue (see screen shots) everytime i clean shut down and restart the unraid server. This has begun to grate (5-6 times) as each time i must restore all docker images from previous downloads and restore vm backups. Previous posts has pointed at the images getting corrupted but i am unsure as to why and what the resolution is. Attached is diagnostics, i invite comment. **diagnostics deleted for system security**

Thanks for the response, the docker engine was actually stopped already as well as vm manager per the guide. I did manage to overcome this and regain access by shutting down the server. removing the flash drive and finding the network.cfg file and playing with that. Eventually i downloaded the Unraid 6.9.1 package and restored the default editing the ip address for the server as defined by the network. This gave me access again to the GUI.

Hello, So i was working through @SpaceInvaderOne's video tutorial on Docker install of Shinobi pro Got to the stage of adding the cctv system that works on its own static ip as a network in the unraid network settings. BIG MISTAKE!! cause that killed my access to the unraid GUI? No i really have no idea. People are likely going to reply post diagnostics.. I don't know how to do that without access to the terminal. (any instructions here would be helpful). Linux terminal on the display attached to the server never lets me log in using the root credentials i use for the GUI so not much help there. I have port scanned the servers static ip to see if its moved to another port (the one i specified) The same for the network address i was trying to add. No joy there so far. Any advice. guidance as to how to regain access to the Gui

Great plugin so far, thanks for the efforts. I am having some speed issues on 'post read' of a 2TB WD RED, so far its been in post read 2 days and its 50+% only. Any ideas based on the attached preclear report? i have re-seated on the sata connection only other item i can try is on a different sata interface but i have precleared and run drives twice the size on that connection. is this a sign of any issue with the drive? slow_preclear.rtf

I resolved the issue in the short term by removing bind mounts to the container and letting it update then adding the bind mounts again. Still does not solve my issue with this in the future and my data loss in the bind mounted drives.
