  1. Ya my update took way longer than normal also. I was thinking it locked up also. Not sure why it was so slow.
  2. Great work! Upgraded last night and all is well.
  3. I would run an extended SMART test on the drive first. Also you could post diagnostics after for experts to take a look.
  4. I would RMA it. In the past I have kept the drive in my machine while they sent me a replacement. I believe they just took a deposit in case I didn't return the drive once the new one came. Just explain to them that you cant remove it till you have a physical drive to put in.
  5. This is great. Many of us have used many of his tutorials. Looking forward to even more great content. Congrats @SpaceInvaderOne
  6. I just received the above notification. It says the crc error count is 5. Can someone look over my diagnostics and let me know the issue. tower-diagnostics-20250129-2130.zip
  7. Post your diagnostic for the experts.
  8. This is a good deal for a APC UPS from amazon Canada https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B06WP9Q8ZN/?coliid=IJN2NGUVT5M4Q&th=1
  9. You can. You will need to install unassigned devices/unassiigned devices plus plugin from the appstore.
  10. Ok thanks. It would be nice if the windows version of tailscale would let you set the full domain as the default under Network device -- My Devices. In the meantime I will watch for the update.
  11. The TSDProxy and Label manager is really slick. For some reason full tailscale domain works fine but the tailscale ip4 address does not. When I use the ip4 address i get Secure Connection Failed An error occurred during a connection to 100.112.92.14. Peer reports it experienced an internal error. Error code: SSL_ERROR_INTERNAL_ERROR_ALERT HTTPS is enabled
  12. So trying to setup specific dockers on tailnet. For some reason they won't load unless I manually type the port in. I feel like I must be missing something simple. Anyone have an idea?
  13. When pointing tailscale directly to a container is there benefit to enabling SSL certs? I mean technically isn't it more private to not have a cert? Are both encrypted end to end?
  14. Another day to complete rebuild? 12TB should not take a full day let alone another day. I would take a look at your syslog and see if you have any disk errors.
  15. The JMB585 is typically a 5 port card. The one Lempa used was an 8 port card with a port multiplier. Either card should work well. I bought an inexpensive ASM1166 from amazon a few years ago and it has been very reliable.
  16. Its likely a bad power/data connection. You could check/replace cables. Power splitters are also a common issue. Also you should post diagnostics for the gurus.
  17. Try and shutdown the server and put your usb in a windows computer. If it detects errors let it fix it.
  18. I will try and leave the browser window closed. It did run fine for about 48 hours. In the past the window was left open alot and never had an issue. Is this a known issue with 7?
  19. Yesterday my server became unresponsive and I thought it was related to 7.0.0. Looking through my logs I can see I was getting Jan 13 07:46:16 Tower php-fpm[9270]: [WARNING] [pool www] child 1928487 exited on signal 9 (SIGKILL) after 12.167421 seconds from start Then some time between 13:30 and 13:40 the server became unresponsive and there is a bunch of additional errors in that time. Does anyone know what the root cause for these errors is? tower-diagnostics-20250113-1339.zip
  20. Upgraded and had no issues. My server has been rock solid but after 48 hours the WebGui became unresponsive. I hit the powerbutton once which initiated a clean shutdown and I rebooted. Hoping this is a one off. Prior to this my server was rock solid for months on end and I only rebooted for software upgrades. tower-diagnostics-20250113-1339.zip
  21. Upgraded today. Went very smooth with no issues. Going to wait a few days before upgrading my ZFS pool. Thank you everyone for all your hard work!
  22. I assume you already put your boot USB in a windows PC to see if it detects errors?
  23. Does it show up in Plex settings - transcoder (show advanced) - Hardware Transcoding Device
  24. You should post your diagnostics.
