Howdy folks An odd behaviour has cropped up recently. After some period of time when I go to the WebUI, CP requires me to log in. Is this just a change by CP to access the application from the (docker'ed) desktop --- or should I be concerned that backups are being impacted? Thanks!

I spent a LOT of time a few years back sussing out a solution as a Windows VM without access to an ODD was then a deal breaker for my use. I found 2 workable solutions 1 – use a USB ODD drive and pass that through AFTER booting the VM if speed is of little concern 2 – Blacklist a PCIe card and pass the PCIe SATA card through. Note that you must either flash the PCIe card for ODD (aka IDE mode) use or select a card that works natively with ODD. Thanks saarg! The other makemkv does not allow me to consistently pass through the ODD. This RDP one, however, works great.

@saarg I have the /UNRAID path set to mnt/user/ShareName/Folder & the program outputs videos wonderfully to thus location. The only 'minor' issue is that when the container is started, from within the container, for each new ODD the default output folder is within the container itself and I must change this to /UNRAID if I want access to the MKV (and not blow up my Docker image space).

@mdipinto I spent a great amount of time attempting to pass a USB Odd to the makemkv container and failed. Installed this makemkv-rdp container and had it working with the USB ODD within 5 minutes. Note that when you select the output folder from within the program, each time you must select 'UNRAID'

I run into the same issue with backups from my wife's machine. The trigger is her Mac backups and one of her pc work apps saves updates pre-existing data without properly modifying acces/modify datetime stamps. No issue, but glad this catches it.

Was using a Totovin card in my Supermicro which worked until last update round - - - now the machine refuses to stay powered down. It uses both an ASM1142 and ASM1543. B074QK68XS Just ordered a Qnine to replace it with as it only uses a asm1142. Gosh I hope this solves the issue. B07BJ2HVD2 Edit: powerdown functions as expected with the Qnine USB controller that has only the ASM 1142

V6.6.1 to .6 - so far, all looks OK. Crashplan & MakeMkv_rdp dockers. Win m10 with dual GPU, sata controller, & usb 3.1 passtgrough (with Steamlink host). Win 7 vnc, no passtgrough. Preclear, cache dir, user scripts, etc.

Good day @saarg I have the "/Unraid" path (host path 2) set to "/mnt/user/Media/MakeMKV/" however in the GUI when I go to convert a video it attempts to save to "/nobody/Videos/nameofvid" and gives no way to navigate to any useful looking location. Anything ideas on this one? Best NM.... I was reading backwards through the forum... on the second page I found the answer... One must browse from Nobody, up a directory to UnRaid folder in the web gui

@gfjardim good day! I've had need of this wonderful tool once again and have found on the latest and greatest (6.6.3) access of any disk unassigned and the preclear itself fails then requiring a full reboot before disks are visible / usable once again under UD and PC. Uninstalling unassigned devices (temporary) resolved the issue. Would it be possible to include a toggle which disables all hooks into unassigned devices? Thanks for the fantastic work!

@limetech on 'slightly' older hardware where it is unlikely the manufacturer is going to provide an bios update - does disabling the various VM settings and hyperthreading (Intel) within bios provide adequate protection from spectre and meltdown?

A huge thanks to @gfjardim & co for keeping this alive and kicking. The ability to preclear - postclear - and stress check (new and antiquated drives alike) is, in my opinion, the most critical tool this platform provides. This plugin (which usually works :) ) is far easier to implement than the old Joe script (which requires a patch command and manual terminal commands to use).
